Chapter 622 Take Him Away

Ethan gritted his teeth and confessed everything he had done, from intentionally stealing a toothbrush to undergoing DNA testing.

After speaking, he whispered an apology, "Mommy, I know I was wrong. I won't do it again next time."

Sarah was very surprised that Ethan had done so many things secretly.

No wonder!

Last time at the hot spring hotel, Benjamin said she was fooling him.

No wonder he was so angry.

But now, none of it mattered. He was not Antonio, from now on he was just a business partner of the Valencia family.

That's it.

Sarah took a deep breath and gently stroked Ethan's head.

"It's okay, but next time, if something like this happens again, you must tell Mommy first, okay? Otherwise, it may cause unnecessary misunderstandings," she gently reminded.

Ethan obediently nodded, "I understand, Mommy."

After giving his promise to her, he decided in his heart that he was a little man now! He had to bravely take responsibility and not let Mommy bear his mistakes for no reason!

Mommy was already having a hard time, and if she were maliciously misunderstood because of him, she would definitely be even sadder.

So, he had to find a way!

To clear up the misunderstanding for Mommy with Uncle Benjamin and for him not to be angry with Mommy anymore!

Sarah saw him bowing his head as if reflecting on himself and didn't say much more than that; eating her meal was as tasteless as chewing cardboard.

Because her current situation was still unstable, the doctor suggested she stay in the hospital for observation.

Sarah had no objections and turned to look at Bob.

"Then you can help me take the children back. I'm fine here; you don't need to stay with me all the time."

Bob thought for a moment, then agreed, "Okay." He waved to the three children, and said, "Call me if you need anything."

She replied with a subtly smile, "Okay, be safe on the way."

Ethan followed them home, but he was already planning something. When he got home, he would have the opportunity to slip out!

Ethan was proactive. The next morning, just as Bob was leaving, he followed suit, but they went in completely opposite directions.

Ethan hailed a cab to Harrington Group!

He had already planned what he wanted to say on his way there. So, he stood in front of the Harrington Group reception desk with something in his hands while he exuded confidence and style, and said, "Hello, Miss, I'm Ethan, looking for Mr. Harrington."

The receptionist was a bit puzzled, not knowing where this little boy had come from.

But he was so cute!

And from his attire and demeanor, this child did not seem like an ordinary kid, he should be some relative of Mr. Harrington.

She hesitated for a while, wondering whether to call the CEO's office to inquire. But she did.

At this moment, Benjamin was reviewing the acquisition proposal brought by his assistant.

Daniel had just finished a call from the front desk and said in a somewhat awkward tone, "Mr. Harrington, Ms. Miller's son, is here."

Benjamin raised his eyes from the folder, looking somewhat surprised, and asked, "Just him?"

Daniel confirmed, "Yes."

"Let him up," Benjamin instructed, then he put away the documents in his hand. He wanted to see what tricks this mother and son were up to this time.

Not long after, Ethan's small figure appeared at the office door. After Daniel brought him in, he tactfully closed the door and left.

"Uncle Benjamin," Ethan called out to him. He really mustered up his courage. Now, looking at this man who looked exactly like his dad, he felt a sense of grievance rising in his heart.

He walked to the desk, nodded respectfully, and said, "I'm here to apologize to you."

It took him some effort to put down the things he was carrying on the chair.
Ethan stated apologetically, "This is a gift I brought for you. I'm sorry."

Benjamin glanced at him sideways, and questioned, "Why are you apologizing?"

Ethan earnestly reflected on himself.

"When we were at the hot spring resort before, my discomfort was actually fake, and Mommy didn't know."

As he spoke, he stole a glance at Uncle Benjamin's reaction. Seeing that he wasn't angry, he continued.

"When I first saw Uncle Benjamin, I thought you were my dad. I thought you had amnesia and couldn't remember us, so I wanted to match you with Mommy to help you regain your memory."

Ethan's words were intermittent but clear in expression.

When Benjamin heard the words "amnesia," his brow furrowed deeply. Actually, on this point, Ethan was right.

He didn't know what to say for a moment. So, the incident that happened last time wasn't Sarah's scheme.

It was Ethan.

Benjamin thought about how Sarah didn't deliberately go to the hot spring with him, and for a moment, he didn't know whether to be happy or not.

He remained silent, and Ethan felt a bit uncertain.

Uncle Benjamin wouldn't still be angry, right?!

"Uncle Benjamin, I really didn't know you weren't my dad; I did those things. I hope you can forgive me." His soft voice was full of sincerity, and he pleaded, "Most importantly, Uncle Benjamin, don't be angry with Mommy because of this."

Ethan sighed with pity, and remarked, "Mommy is already very sad, and this wasn't even her fault; it was all my own doing."

Benjamin looked down at Ethan in front of him, somewhat surprised.

Ethan was actually afraid that he would be angry with Sarah.

He thought of Sarah's attitude towards him yesterday and coldly snorted, "Why shouldn't I be angry with her?"

"Because," Ethan bit his lip, "because Mommy really loves Daddy!"

Ethan reasoned, "I know it's right for Uncle Benjamin to be angry, but it's better if you're angry with me, don't blame Mommy."

He felt a bit anxious, and as he spoke, his eyes reddened, "Mommy is already very sad because of Daddy leaving. Daddy clearly said before that he would never leave, that he would be with Mommy forever, but now he's left Mommy alone."

Ethan was explaining earnestly. He thought that after explaining it clearly, Uncle Benjamin should be able to understand, right?

However, whether Benjamin understood or not was secondary; he just felt like these words were pouring oil on his anger.

Yesterday, Sarah's words were like planting a bomb in his heart, and now, with just a few words from Ethan, it was ignited, causing him to explode on the spot.

He already knew how affectionate Sarah and Antonio were, and he didn't need to be reminded again and again!

Benjamin was consumed with jealousy; the muscles on his jaw were twitching faintly, and his hands clenched and relaxed on the table, but he couldn't vent his anger on Ethan.

Ethan anxiously called out to him, "Uncle Benjamin."

Benjamin frustratedly said, "Enough!"

Benjamin didn't want to hear Ethan speak anymore, as none of his words were pleasing!

He closed his eyes for a moment, barely maintaining his composure, and said in a tone of indifference, "Just go back where you came from; don't come to me with these meaningless words anymore!"

After speaking, he pressed the intercom button next to him and ordered coldly, "Get security up here. Take Ethan out!"
