Chapter 95 Deciding to Sue Antonio

Sarah bolted back to her room and didn't show her face for the rest of the day, not even for a bite to eat.

She tried to keep busy, but Antonio's nasty words kept echoing in her head, stinging like a fresh wound.

She parked herself by the window, staring out for what felt like forever, lost in thought until the blazing sun dipped into dusk, casting a moody, yellow glow on her face.

She must've been out of her mind to marry a guy like Antonio.

She wasn't about to dig up old dirt; she just wanted those divorce papers signed. But Antonio? He wasn't having it.

She was beyond exhausted and had zero interest in wasting more time and energy.

If he was gonna play hardball, she wasn't gonna back down.

Sarah decided to lawyer up and file for divorce. Antonio was the one who cheated, and they'd been living separate lives for five years. She had a solid shot in court.

No matter how loaded and powerful Antonio was, could he really bend the law?

With that thought, Sarah grabbed her phone to call the best lawyer in town. But before she could dial, the door swung open.

Sarah spun around, her voice icy. "Who is it?"

The maid quickly bowed and apologized, "I'm sorry, Mrs. Valencia. Mr. Valencia asked me to bring you this dress. He said there's a charity gala tonight, and he wants you to attend with him as Mrs. Valencia."

Sarah glared at the dress in the maid's hands, her face darkening. She turned away, "I'm not going!"

Attend as Mrs. Valencia? What a joke!

Antonio was still so full of himself!

The maid lingered at the door, saying awkwardly, "Then I'll have to forcibly change Mrs. Valencia's clothes."

Sarah was speechless. She looked at the maid, knowing this was Antonio's doing. Talking to the maid was pointless.

She cast a cold glance at the dress and then stormed off to Antonio's room without a second look.

At that moment, Antonio had just stepped out of the bathroom and was getting dressed.

His hair was half-dry, and his upper body was bare. The light from the floor lamp highlighted his muscular frame.

There was a knock on the door, and Antonio, not thinking much, casually said, "Come in."

Sarah angrily pushed the door open, and the first thing she saw was Antonio's bare chest. Her eyes widened, and she instinctively turned her head away.

He was changing clothes and still let someone in. What kind of habit was that!

Seeing this, Antonio chuckled, his voice deep. "You're still as shy as ever."

It wasn't like she hadn't seen it before, but he loved her reaction.

Sarah felt her face heat up like a furnace. She wished she could just vanish into thin air.

She forced herself to stay cool and said, "I'm not going to any gala. Don't hassle the maid, and don't think you can push me around."

Antonio didn't even flinch at her words, like he knew she'd say no.

He didn't say a word, just glanced down at himself, then stepped forward, his strong arm grabbing Sarah's shoulder.

Sarah's heart skipped a beat, thinking Antonio was up to his old tricks. She tried to pull away, but Antonio turned her shoulder with force.

She was worn out, her angry voice tinged with helplessness. "What do you want now?"

Antonio's eyes flickered as he looked at her flushed cheeks. He leaned in and said in a deep voice, "What's there to be shy about? You've seen it all before, and besides, what haven't we done between us?"

"You're shameless!" Sarah was furious, struggling hard to break free from Antonio's grip.

But Antonio's post-shower scent and his unique aura surrounded her. Every time she struggled, she brushed against his bare skin, and slowly, she began to feel hot.

Antonio held her tight, then used one hand to press her head, forcing her to look at his abdomen. "See this scar? It's from Brady."

Hearing this, Sarah momentarily forgot to struggle, staring blankly at the nasty scar.

After a brief daze, she realized Antonio was talking about the incident five years ago when Brady stabbed him.

She didn't expect the knife wound to be so deep, leaving a permanent mark.

Just as Sarah felt a twinge of guilt, Antonio's faint laughter and subtle threat came from above her head. "See it clearly? The scar is still there. If you don't go to the gala, I'll sue Brady for intentional injury."

Sarah's guilt vanished in an instant.

She shoved Antonio's hand away and glared at him, cursing inwardly.

He was threatening her again!

Seeing the anger and condemnation in Sarah's eyes, Antonio laughed, a playful glint in his eyes. "Threats always work best, don't they?"

Sarah pressed her lips tightly, her beautiful eyes filled with complex emotions.

Brady had just gained his freedom; she couldn't let him go back to prison.

If Antonio really sued, intentional injury would be a fact, and Brady would definitely be convicted, so she had to compromise.

Sarah gritted her teeth, pushed Antonio away, and stormed back to her room.

Antonio always had ways to threaten and force her. Today, he used Brady to make her go to the gala. What would it be tomorrow?

She couldn't keep letting him control her, so she had to divorce Antonio as soon as possible!

Watching Sarah's figure disappear at the door, Antonio's previously raised lips gradually fell, and a dark, unreadable look flashed in his eyes.
