Chapter 33 Make Sure Sarah Watch the News
Sarah kept her mouth shut, her face all stormy, the whole ride back to the villa. You could tell she was biting her tongue, holding back a flood of words.
Antonio, though, had this little smirk going on, tossing out a word or two to Harper now and then.
Once they got back, Harper grabbed her favorite snacks and bolted to her room. Sarah shoved the groceries into the fridge, and when she turned around, there was Antonio, right behind her.
She jumped back, smacking into the fridge, and winced.
Antonio, with one hand in his pocket, chuckled. "What’s got you so spooked? Think I’m gonna eat you or something?"
Seeing him just made Sarah’s blood boil. "Why did Mr. Valencia say that stuff at the market earlier?"
Antonio raised an eyebrow, totally knowing what she meant, and his grin got wider. "Did I say anything wrong?"
She was his wife, after all. She knew his size.
Sarah was fuming but kept it together, gritting her teeth. "Mr. Valencia, can you cut it out with the confusing talk?"
Her face went beet red, and she bit her lip. "I think Mr. Valencia messed up. I wasn't gonna buy that, I was just...""
"Yeah, I know," Antonio cut her off, stepping closer and putting a hand on the fridge, looking down at her with a playful glint in his eyes.
She was still so innocent. So what if she bought them? Why was she still so shy?
But hey, she was making progress. She was learning to seduce him, even if it was in a simple way. And he was game to play along.
Sarah’s face felt like it was on fire. Why did it seem like Antonio didn’t get her at all?
In the end, she couldn’t be bothered to argue with Antonio and dashed back to her room.
That night, Peter stumbled out of a nightclub, only to get knocked out from behind. When he came to, he was in some sketchy, abandoned warehouse.
In front of him were two masked dudes, big and burly.
"From now on, you better answer my questions honestly," one of the masked guys said, sounding like a total villain.
Peter realized he’d been kidnapped and started shaking like a leaf.
His face went pale, and he tried to sound tough, but his voice was all wobbly. "This is illegal! I’m warning you, let me go, or I’ll have you thrown in jail!"
The other masked guy laughed, his voice all weird from a voice changer. "If we’re talking illegal stuff, you’ve done way more. Want me to list them?"
Peter was scared out of his mind and shrank back. "What do you want to know?"
The voice changer guy snorted. "Half a month ago, on the night of August 10th, what went down at the 18th-floor banquet hall of The Grand Horizon Hotel?"
Even with the threat, the voice changer made it sound kinda funny.
The villain masked guy added, "Spill the beans, or we’ll chop you up!"
Peter was a total coward. A little threat, and he was ready to sing. "Don’t get all crazy, I’ll tell you everything! That day, I went to Lusa’s birthday party. I was drinking, and she asked me to bring people to the nearby lounge in 10 minutes, so I did. I gathered a group, and when the time was up, we waited outside the lounge. Then I heard Lusa scream, so we rushed in!"
The masked guy asked, "What did you see next?"
Peter said, "I saw Lusa running towards me, all messed up, saying Brady was trying to rape her. Then the people I brought grabbed Brady, and then the cops showed up!"
"Spill it!" the villain masked guy barked.
Peter stammered, "That's all I know! I swear!"
The voice changer dude waved a wrench menacingly, stepping closer. "Didn't you give a statement as a witness? What did you tell the cops?"
Peter blurted out, "I told them I saw Brady ripping Lusa's clothes. But Lusa fed me that line; I didn't actually witness it. However, when we barged in, Brady was after Lusa, so technically I wasn't lying. I just... stretched the truth a tad, not perjury!"
The voice changer guy raised the wrench high, and Peter screamed, "I’m not lying! I swear to God, I’m telling the truth! Please, don’t hurt me!"
Seeing the wrench about to come down, Peter shut his eyes tight, shaking like a leaf, and a big wet patch appeared on his pants.
The voice changer guy saw this and cringed, covering his nose and stepping back quickly.
"He’s so scared he wet himself. Doesn’t seem like he’s lying. What now?"
"We’ll leave it at that." The villain guy glanced at the terrified Peter and said to the voice changer guy, "Get his phone."
"Why me!" The voice changer guy protested, feeling queasy at the thought of reaching into Peter’s pocket.
But the villain guy slightly raised his arm, his movements stiff. The voice changer guy got the hint and sighed, reluctantly going to get the phone and untying the ropes.
Peter, finally free, bolted without looking back!
The masked men hopped into a black car, driving through winding back roads until they finally reached an apartment building.
"Ah, home sweet home!" Michael took off his mask and took a deep breath.
The villain guy waved his hands. "Help me get this off!"
Michael quickly helped the villain guy remove his mask, revealing Ethan’s cold face. His forehead was sweaty from the heat, and Michael then helped him out of his clothes, revealing a tall mechanical exoskeleton underneath.
With Michael’s help, Ethan jumped down from the exoskeleton. "This thing is amazing. Brian’s a genius!"
"Of course!" Michael said proudly as he peeled off layers of clothing. "Brian’s inventions are always top-notch!"
They quickly ditched their "gear" and immediately tried to unlock Peter’s phone. In less than half a minute, the phone was unlocked.
Michael swiftly covered the screen upon seeing the contents, preventing Ethan from seeing them.
Michael’s eyes widened, his mouth slightly open, and his cheeks flushed. He had just seen explicit photos of men and women!
Meanwhile, on the second floor of the villa, Harper had lost her appetite for snacks, anxiously waiting for news.
Just then, her phone rang. Seeing it was Ethan, she quickly answered.
"Ethan, how did it go? Everything smooth?"
Ethan’s calm voice came through. "Yeah, everything went smoothly, but we didn’t get any useful info."
"Was it all for nothing then?" Harper felt a bit dejected.
Ethan said, "Not exactly. We got a phone and plan to expose its contents. Harper, make sure Mom watches the news tomorrow morning."
"Okay!"
The next morning, the internet was in an uproar.
Hundreds of explicit photos were uploaded online. The man in the photos was Peter, and there were at least a dozen women, including models, internet celebrities, and ordinary folks. Lusa was among them.
