Chapter 450 Serene's Silly Idea!

Sarah called Brady.

Brady had traveled all around the world for many years. Most of the members in their animal protection organization were volunteers with various professions and backgrounds.

"Sarah, what's up?"

"Brother, do you know any jewelry designers? Preferably high-end ones."

"I do know some, but what do you need them for?" Brady understood Sarah's personality well. She wasn't usually obsessed with jewelry.

She explained her idea, "Isn't his birthday coming up soon? I want to give him a surprise."

Brady fell silent for a long time. Since returning from the hospital, he had been thinking about the relationship between Sarah and Antonio.

Despite knowing he might be overthinking, what occurred five years ago inflicted immense heartache upon him, leading to the five-year separation from his sister.

He had already experienced the loss of his sister once before, leaving him somewhat apprehensive.

Naturally, Sarah understood Brady's concerns and said softly, "Brother, I understand how you feel, but please trust Antonio and me. We will never go through those things again. No matter what uncertainties the future may hold, we won't separate."

Brady's heart melted upon hearing that.

During this period, he could also see that Antonio had indeed changed a lot.

Five years ago, he vividly recalled being more stubborn and arrogant than anyone else. Hardly anything could sway his opinions. Despite his deep love for Sarah, he struggled to respect her choices. He insisted everything be done according to his own will.

Back then, Brady hadn't agreed with her decision to be with Antonio.

However, Sarah had been too persistent and deeply in love with him. She had never considered a situation where love wasn't a one-sided effort.

But now, she seemed to understand this principle, and Antonio had also undergone many changes.

Brady could finally set his heart at ease.

"If that's what you say, what else can I say? But I still want to remind you that you live your own life. If you're not happy, don't endure it anymore, don't be like before."

"Don't worry, brother. This time, I have tremendous trust in Antonio, and the children trust him too."

"Alright, don't say such things in front of me anymore."

"I'm the single one while couples around me flaunt their affection. I will send you the contact information of my designer friend. You can discuss your ideas with him since he's a high-end designer. I'm confident he can fulfill your requirements."

"Thank you, brother." Sarah chuckled. "By the way, do you want to move in with us? I'm worried about you being alone over there."

"What's there to worry about? Besides, it's inappropriate for a brother to continue living together after his sister gets married."

"Well, at least come visit us. Shouldn't an uncle visit his nephews and niece?"

Brady coughed twice. "Let's do it in a few days. I seem to have caught the flu these past couple of days, and I'm afraid of infecting the kids."

Ever since he returned from the hospital last time, he had been feeling a bit unwell.

Worry filled Sarah immediately. "Did you go to the hospital for a check-up? Should I come and see you?"

"Don't come. You just got over being sick. If anything happens, I'll be worried sick. Just enjoy your family life. Once I get better, I'll come visit you all."

"Take care of yourself and call me if you need anything."

"Okay, by the way, speaking of jewelry, I remembered that the bracelet I bought from the second-hand shop can be sent here. I'll bring it over when the time comes."

"Great! Thank you, brother. You're so kind."

"You have a sweet mouth."

After hanging up, Sarah saved the designer's number and sent him her requirements, feeling a great sense of satisfaction.

Although the mystery of her origins remained unsolved, and the truth about Victor was yet to be found, these matters were now only small concerns for the present Sarah.

After all, her beloved husband, children, and brother were all by her side. They were her entire world and her small family.

Maybe she wasn't meant to have anything beyond that, and she didn't want to push for it.

After hanging up, Brady indeed felt a heavy weight on his body and decided to go to the hospital for a check-up. If this illness persisted, it would burden his sister with his care.

At the hospital…

It turned out that there wasn't anything serious, just a common flu that could be treated with medication.

After picking up his prescription from the pharmacy and preparing to leave the hospital, he received an international call.

He smiled as he answered the call; it was just as they had promised—the vintage shop selling the bracelet.

The person on the other end asked, "Is this Mr. Miller? All the necessary procedures for your purchased bracelet have been completed. We can ship it today. I will send the tracking number to your phone later, please check."

"Thank you very much!"

Brady felt extremely delighted. After hanging up, they sent the tracking number and a photo of a bracelet to his phone.

Brady opened it to enlarge the photo.

Every time he glanced at the bracelet he had purchased, he couldn't help but marvel at its uniqueness and beauty. He wondered whether it could be the same one his mother had gifted to Sarah years ago.

Perhaps, after a series of twists and turns, fate had brought it back to him and Sarah, serving as a replacement for his mother and becoming their companion on their journey...

Lost in thought, he didn't notice the person coming towards him. As a result, his phone accidentally fell to the ground.

"I'm sorry," Brady bent down to pick up his phone and suddenly noticed a wheelchair in front of him. While he was still stunned, a pair of fair hands picked up his phone.

"Ms. Jerrett!" Brady exclaimed, surprised. "What a coincidence!"

"It's not much of a coincidence, really. I've been staying in this hospital. Why did you come here? Are you sick?" Serene asked with concern.

He waved his hand. "Nothing serious, just a slight cold. I came to get some medication."

"Be careful while walking," Serene said with a smile, handing back his phone.

The phone screen remained illuminated, drawing Serene's gaze. There, she beheld a photo of the bracelet, and in an instant, she froze, disbelief flickering in her eyes.
