Chapter 645 Sarah's Palpitations

His mind raced through endless scenarios, the tension in his mind growing tighter and tighter, gradually transforming into a sharp pain, as if it were about to tear his brain apart.

At this moment, footsteps echoed outside the door.

Shortly after, Isabella knocked and entered. "Benjamin, are you busy now?"

Benjamin had already closed his email beforehand, looking up at her with slightly bloodshot eyes, his voice hoarse as he asked, "What's the matter?"

Isabella smiled as she approached his desk. "I heard you were back. Why didn't you call me for a ride?"

"Daniel picked me up."

Isabella tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "That's perfect. The project over at Crystal Haven Valley needs an on-site inspection. Shall we go together?"

Benjamin lifted his eyelids to look at her, his brown eyes revealing nothing of his thoughts. After a moment, he stood up. "Let's go now then."

Isabella knew he had attended a banquet in H City and possibly overindulged.

It was normal to feel unwell after drinking.

The reason why Benjamin agreed to go with her was that his mind was truly in turmoil. Those chaotic speculations were unprovable, like dark clouds shrouding him.

If something strange had indeed happened to him, Isabella, his "long-time fiancée," would surely know something.

He wanted to probe but couldn't find a way to start.

Even when they arrived at the construction site, Benjamin remained absent-minded. Isabella and the site manager were discussing work, but he stayed silent and preoccupied with his thoughts.

"Benjamin?"

Isabella called out to him, looking puzzled.

Benjamin snapped back to reality, seeing everyone staring at him, a bit confused. "What's the matter?"

Isabella exchanged a glance with the manager and repeated what they had said, "The manager proposed a new construction plan for these two buildings. What do you think?"

Without thinking, Benjamin nodded. "You've already reviewed it, so there shouldn't be any problems."

Isabella sensed something was off with him but nodded and turned to the manager. "Since Mr. Harrington also thinks there's no problem, let's proceed with your proposed plan. The progress should speed up."

The manager quickly responded and continued to introduce other aspects to her as they walked.

Benjamin showed little interest, casually glancing around.

Suddenly, he noticed a shaky scaffold on the window of the building ahead. The person inside probably didn't notice that the scaffold was about to fall.

And it was about to land right on Isabella!

Just as Benjamin was about to warn her, he had a sudden flash of insight and considered another possibility.

If he were the one hit, he might regain his memory.

There was no time to think further; the scaffold was already falling.

It would take only two seconds to hit the ground!

In a split second, Benjamin took two swift steps forward, positioning his body in front of Isabella.

Then the scaffold crashed down on his head and back, shattering with a "boom" on the ground.

Dust flew everywhere, and Isabella even forgot to breathe.

She had been standing there, and the person who would have been hit was supposed to be her.

"Mr. Harrington!" The people around reacted first, rushing to the unconscious Benjamin on the ground.

Isabella blinked, tears uncontrollably streaming down her face. She wanted to help but felt her legs go weak. It took her a while to move her feet, her voice trembling. "Benjamin."

She hadn't expected Benjamin to risk his life to save her!

So he still had feelings for her!

Isabella was both touched and worried. 'Would Benjamin be alright after being hit by something from such a height? No, he must be alright!'

Tears streaming down her face, she shouted to the assistant not far away, "Call an ambulance!"

That evening, an international private plane arrived at the capital city's airport.

Brian stepped off the plane, accompanied by a line of black-suited bodyguards.

He immediately spotted Sarah waiting at the entrance, a slight smile tugging at his lips, his eyes seemingly glowing as he hurried over. "Mommy!"

"Oh! My baby!"

Sarah eagerly pulled Brian into her arms, tears welling up in her eyes.

It had been several months, and she finally saw Brian again.

Soon after, Brady was also wheeled out.

Though still unconscious, he looked well, not at all gaunt, a testament to Brian's care abroad.

Sarah rushed to Brady's bedside, unable to hold back her tears.

But Brady couldn't stay outside for too long; he needed to be taken to the hospital for a physical assessment. If everything was fine, he could then return to the Miller family villa to recuperate.

Sarah reluctantly watched as Brady was taken to the hospital, then sniffed and took Brian's hand. "Let's go home, Baby."

"Everyone's been missing you. They wanted to come with me to pick you up, but I stopped them. If we don't get back soon, they might not be able to wait."

Upon hearing Sarah's laughter, Brian's mood also relaxed.

They chatted all the way, and soon they arrived at the villa.

As soon as they opened the door, the little ones rushed out, with Kevin following slowly on crutches, smiling and calling out, "Be careful, don't trip and fall!"

Harper and Ethan ran at the front, with Ryan close behind, keeping an eye on them while glancing at Brian.

"Brian, you're finally back!"

"Yeah, we missed you so much!" Harper and Ethan said as they rushed to hug Brian, causing his small body to sway backward a bit.

Brian quickly steadied himself, holding them up, his voice tinged with laughter. "Can we go inside first?"

Sarah stepped aside, waiting for the bodyguards to bring in the luggage before speaking.

"Yes, your brother is back. Let's talk inside."

She walked up to Kevin and took his arm, saying to the children, "Grandpa needs to stay warm. Be careful."

Ryan, being the closest, quickly closed the door and pulled Harper and Brian inside. "Ethan, hurry up. I'll go get Grandpa some water."

Kevin and Sarah followed behind, smiling as Kevin said, "It's alright. I've been feeling much better these past two days. I can even go out for a walk during the day."

He hadn't been downstairs much, and after such a long recovery, it was time to move around a bit.

Sarah, however, didn't quite agree. "It's better to be cautious."

Kevin, of course, wouldn't refuse Sarah's concern and readily agreed.

In the living room, Ryan poured water for Kevin and Sarah, then turned to ask his younger siblings, "Do you want some? How about adding some honey?"

Harper, always the enthusiastic one, responded, "Yes!"

She then sat next to Brian, leaning against him, and said on his behalf, "Brian wants some too!"

"I want some too! I want some too!" Ethan chimed in quickly, not lifting his head but still thanking Ryan politely. "Thank you, Ryan!"

Then the little ones started chattering away, not forgetting to include Kevin in their conversation.

When Sarah saw this scene, her gloominess of the past few days finally dissipated a bit.

There was nothing more blissful than having the family together.

But there was still a lingering regret,

Their family was no longer complete.

"Mommy!"

Suddenly, Harper ran over, calling her excitedly, "Brian brought gifts for each of us! Do you want to see what your gift is?"

Sarah set aside her earlier emotions and followed her, asking expectantly, "What is it?"

The little ones took the gifts out of the luggage and happily distributed them.

Brian walked up to Sarah with a gift box. "Mommy, open it and have a look."

Sarah looked at his serious little face and chuckled softly. "Alright."

Just as she was about to open it, she suddenly felt a pang of palpitations, as if something had pricked her.
