Chapter 276 Ethan Went Alone...

But it quickly dissipated.

"Mommy, you should rest. Don't worry about things at home for now. Go to bed," Ethan said.

Ethan pressed Sarah down on the bed as he spoke and carefully covered her with a blanket. "Go to sleep."

"Okay. If you need anything, remember to find Daddy."

Sarah was exhausted. The moment her head touched the pillow, she began to drift off to sleep, yet a lingering feeling gnawed at her, something she couldn't shake.

Quietly, Ethan exited the bedroom and glanced in the direction of the study before quickly averting his gaze. Ultimately, he chose not to seek out Antonio. Instead, he retreated to his room, packed a small backpack, and departed alone.

Ethan did have something to tell Sarah. Today, he was going to participate in the finals of a math competition. The preliminary and semifinal rounds were conducted online, and he easily cleared them. But the finals were held in person.

He had already won championships in various math competitions abroad. Once he won this math competition, he would have collected all the trophies.

Trophies may not mean much, but it would bring relief to Ethan, who had a touch of OCD. In the past, Sarah used to accompany him to competitions abroad. Naturally, Ethan also hoped that she could come along this time. But Sarahs health was the most important, so he would go to the competition alone. It wasn't difficult anyway.

Most participants were teenagers or adults on the math competition stage, and Ethan seemed to have entered the wrong venue.

"Little friend, where are the adults in your family? This is the competition venue. You can't just wander around," a staff member reminded him.

Ethan took out his competition invitation. "Hello, I'm here to participate in the competition too."

"What?!" The staff member was taken aback. Even though there was no age limit for the competition, there shouldn't be such a young child participating, right?

The staff member clearly didn't believe him. "Little friend, did you steal an adult's invitation? Lying is impolite, you know."

Ethan furrowed his brows. "I'm Ethan Miller. There's my photo on it, I'm not lying."

"Oh, goodness! Am I really going to compete against such a little brat? Pathetic." Suddenly, an extremely impatient voice sounded from behind Ethan, making him even more unhappy.

Ethan turned around, his face darkening. "What do you mean?"

But the person ignored him, snatching Ethan's competition invitation. "Is this thing something you picked up? You, a little squirt like you, dare to participate in this competition? How delusional."

"I told you, there's my photo on it. It's a genuine invitation." Ethan stared at the person before him, the fire in his eyes burning stronger.

"Hmph! Interesting. Don't you know that a child like you who can't even reach the chair's height should be accompanied by an adult? Oh, don't tell me you are an orphan without parents?"

More and more people gathered around. Nobody looked at the lone Ethan with any respect, and...

As the man sneered, laughter erupted.

Ethan clenched the straps of his backpack. "My mommy is sick, so I came by myself."

"Still calling her 'Mommy'~ You haven't weaned off yet, have you?"

Ethan snatched the invitation from the man's hand. "You'll naturally find out who hasn't weaned off during the competition."

"Hey, you little jerk, daring to challenge me!"

As the man spoke, he raised his hand, making a gesture as if he was going to hit Ethan.

Ethan wasn't the type to back down from a fight and was prepared to fight back.

Surprisingly, the anticipated slap never came. Instead, he saw someone unexpected.

The person who was just being arrogant had his wrist tightly clenched by Antonio, howling in pain.

But Antonio calmly bent down, apologetically looking at Ethan. "Sorry son. Did I come late? I hope I'm not too late.

Everyone turned to look at Antonio, collectively gasping in surprise.

'This is... Antonio Valencia, the CEO of Valencia Inc.!

'In other words, this little brat— No, the little heir, is Mr. Valencia's son!'

For a moment, Ethan also couldn't react. 'How did he come here?'

"M-Mr. Valencia! You are a noble person, and I am just a lowly individual! I was blind and disrespectful! I deserve to be punished"

The person whose wrist was being clenched apologized repeatedly.

Antonio seemed to have just remembered this person's existence. He forcefully threw him aside. "With you, I doubt you even have the brains to participate in the competition. Get lost."

Not participating in the competition was nothing compared to preserving one's own life!

"Little friend, go for it! Little friend, you're the best! Go for it!"

Just as the terrified man was chased away, two little figures popped out from behind Antonio. Who else could it be other than Harper and Ryan?

Not only were they chanting slogans, but they were also waving small placard in their hands, making them quite eye-catching.

Antonio directly lifted Ethan up. "Son, give it your all."

Watching this scene, Ethan felt a bit embarrassed, but a warm feeling flowed through his heart.

At least, he was grateful for Antonio's presence, which strongly proved that he was not an orphan.

The competition swiftly commenced, with participants taking the stage to vie for victory. Meanwhile, the organizers below diligently tended to their duties, striving to satisfy Antonio's every need.

Ethan was the first to finish and achieved a score that astonished the entire audience.

Now, the organizers were even more sure of their decision and hurriedly invited Antonio to the stage to give a speech.

Although Antonio didn't want to go, his son was the champion, and he couldn't let go of this pride.

As for his speech, Antonio had only one sentence…
