Chapter 199 Sarah! You're leaving me again!

Antonio came to an abrupt halt, his eyes blazing as he spun around. "If you wish to experience the agony of mutual suffering, the disintegration of everything we've built, then be my guest!" He declared, his voice laced with bitter resolve. With that, he averted his gaze, took a purposeful stride forward, and exited, the door slamming shut behind him with a resounding echo.

In his wake, Antonio carried Ryan towards the car, an oppressive aura radiating from him. As soon as Ryan stepped out of the car and filled his lungs with fresh air, his symptoms noticeably improved, his breathing becoming progressively steadier.

Leaning on Antonio's shoulder, he found himself reflecting on the intense altercation between his father and great-grandfather that had just transpired. His emotions were a tumultuous whirlpool.

His father had endured a beating from his great-grandfather for the sake of being with Sarah. His love for her was undeniable...Ryan didn't want his father to suffer. He made a silent vow to aid his father in winning Sarah back, his small fist clenched in determination.

...

Meanwhile, at the other villa, Harper and Ethan seized the opportunity of Antonio's absence to mount a desperate rescue mission for their mother. After a series of strenuous efforts, they finally managed to unlock the door.

"Mommy!" They cried in unison, rushing into Sarah's arms as soon as they spotted her.

Sarah caught them, her heart filled with a mix of shock and joy. "How did you manage to get in? Are you hurt?" She quickly examined her two precious children, relief washing over her as she found them unscathed. "Mommy, we're okay. Hurry up and pack your things before he returns!" Ethan urged, already beginning to drag the suitcases.

Taking the suitcase from him, Sarah asked, her voice laced with confusion, "Where are we going?"

"Back to where we used to live," Ethan replied. "There won't be any annoying Bad Guy there, and no one will bother you once you're back. It's much better than here!"

Sarah was taken aback by his words. Return abroad now?

She glanced at Ethan, his face set in a serious expression, and her mind wandered back to the time when the children were newborns many years ago. She had single-handedly raised the three of them, juggling three jobs to make ends meet. She had persevered through it all. Once the children had grown a little, Brian had started showing his exceptional talents, and her life had become less exhausting.

But...when she thought about her recent interactions with Antonio, she hesitated. Despite everything that had transpired, she had to admit that her children still needed their father...

"Mommy, please hurry and pack. If Antonio comes back, it'll be too late. He locked you in this room for so long without even bothering to check on you. If he truly cared about you, how could he do this?" Ethan implored anxiously, his eyes darting towards the door, fearful that Antonio might suddenly return.

Sarah's gaze fell, a wave of sadness washing over her as she listened to Ethan's words. Yes, if Antonio truly cared for her, how could he have confined her like this? Was she being fooled by Antonio once again?

Although Harper was reluctant to leave, she considered her mother's predicament and...

After being persuaded for a while, Sarah grew anxious, beads of sweat dotting h er small nose. She had initially intended to explain things properly to Antonio.

But now, swayed by the persistent pleas of her children and considering Antonio's recent attitude towards her, her heart grew cold.

Indeed, things couldn't continue this way. She had to make a decision and bring an end to this.

Perhaps, it was time for her and Antonio to part ways.
In the end, Sarah acquiesced, her head bobbing in a resigned nod as she began to gather her belongings.

Just as she was in the midst of her packing, a servant entered the room, a tray of food in her hands.

Overhearing the conversation within the room, the servant was taken aback. She clapped a hand over her mouth, fearful of making a sound that would disturb the occupants of the room.

After a moment of contemplation, the servant quickly exited the room, her fingers dialing Antonio's number with practiced ease.

Antonio was in a melancholic state, the events at the old mansion still weighing heavily on his mind.

He was behind the wheel, preparing to drive Ryan home when his phone buzzed with an incoming call from the villa's servant.

"Sir, it appears that Madam is packing her belongings and intends to leave with the children!"

Upon hearing this, Antonio's demeanor underwent a drastic change. His jaw tightened, his hand gripping his phone with such force that he ended up tossing it under the seat.

His foot slammed down on the gas pedal, his eyes blazing with a fiery anger as he sped towards the villa.

He was well aware of what was happening - she was planning to leave him again!

Sarah, are you so desperate to run back to your old lover? He thought bitterly. Keep dreaming!

Ryan, who was seated beside him, clutched his seatbelt tightly, his face drained of color and a slight discomfort evident in his chest.

He had overheard the servant's words and was at a loss for what to do. However, deep down, he hoped his father could make it back in time to prevent Sarah from leaving.

In response to his inner turmoil, Ryan clutched his chest, bearing the physical discomfort in silence.

They ran several red lights en route, and finally, the car screeched to a halt at the entrance of the villa.

"Sarah! Where do you think you're going?"

Upon his arrival, Antonio saw Sarah, suitcase in hand, leading the two children as if preparing to flee.

In a fit of rage, he strode forward, yanking the suitcase from her grasp, his face a mask of fury.

His actions were brusque, and Sarah, her foot already injured, nearly lost her balance and toppled over.

Sarah was taken aback, her brow furrowing in confusion.

Antonio's irrational behavior infuriated her.

Whirling around, Sarah shot Antonio a furious glare. "What's it to you where I'm going? You locked me up and showed no concern for my well-being!"

"What's it to me? I'm the father of these children. You running off with your old lover is my concern!"

Antonio's eyes were bloodshot with anger as he grabbed Sarah and began to drag her towards the room.

"Antonio, let go of me! I'm not going to see Asa. I have no relationship with him, why would I go to him? Stop making unfounded accusations!"

She struggled to free herself, but Antonio's grip on her waist was unyielding.

"Quiet! You're not going anywhere. I will never let you see him again!"

Antonio seemed to be consumed by a sea of rage, his entire being filled with anger.

His mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, none of which he could decipher. Suddenly, a terrified scream from Harper pierced the air—"Brother Ryan! What's wrong with you?!"

Startled, Antonio, who was still holding onto Sarah, came to an abrupt stop.

He turned around to see Ryan sprawled on the ground, his lips pale and his eyes squeezed shut in pain...
