Chapter 397 The Enigma of the Two Ethans
No sooner had the words left his lips than Antonio launched a punch at the unsuspecting security guard. The sudden commotion drew the attention of the other guards, who, with a unified cry of "It's a raid! Brothers, get them!" rushed towards Antonio.
Each guard was armed with a knife, yet Antonio remained undeterred. He swiftly neutralized the man closest to him, disarming him of his weapon. A swift roundhouse kick sent another burly guard flying, leaving only a few superficial scratches on Antonio's leg.
Meanwhile, James had dispatched his men into the fray. After dispersing the crowd of onlookers, they effectively encircled the entire casino. The unsuspecting patrons were caught off guard and were quickly subdued by James's men.
On the other side of the chaos, Antonio had successfully neutralized the security guard at the entrance. He pinned down the burly man who had just attempted to stop him and demanded, "Open the door."
"Who are you?" The man retorted, his courage unwavering under Antonio's intense pressure.
"Open the door," Antonio repeated, his grip tightening around the man's neck, ready to snap it with a mere twist. James approached, the subdued security guards in tow, and reported, "Mr. Valencia, we have everything under control."
"You're Antonio?!" The man pinned by Antonio gasped in surprise.
Antonio furrowed his brows, not having the time for idle chatter. He reached into the man's pocket, pulling out a key, and instructed James to unlock the securely fastened door.
As James swung the door open, a man with a scarred face emerged, brandishing a knife. In his grasp, he held Sarah hostage!
"Sarah!" Antonio's heart tightened, and he immediately released the man he had been holding.
"Mr. Valencia, if you wish for your wife and children to remain unharmed, you'll come and speak with our boss personally," the scar-faced man threatened.
Desperate, Antonio called out, "Sarah, are you alright? What about the kids? Are they hurt?"
Despite the knife at her throat, Sarah's panic dissipated at the sight of Antonio. "I'm fine, and so are the kids," she assured him, her lips pressed into a thin line. "But you need to be careful..."
"As long as you're all okay," Antonio replied, discarding the knife he had confiscated. He turned to the scar-faced man, demanding, "Where is your boss?"
"Please, this way, Mr. Valencia," the scar-faced man replied, keeping his knife at Sarah's throat.
Antonio's gaze fell on the cut on Sarah's fair neck, his eyes filled with deep anguish. He wished he could tear everyone here apart! "I warn you, if my wife and children are harmed even slightly, I will make you pay dearly!"
His icy glare was fixed on the scar-faced man. If it weren't for the fact that he held Sarah hostage, Antonio would have already sent him to his grave.
James voiced his concerns. "Mr. Valencia..."
"Wait by the entrance," Antonio ordered.
"Mr. Valencia!" James protested, fully aware of the extreme danger of the situation. If he left Antonio alone here, what would happen if something went wrong?
"Hurry!" Antonio snapped.
With no other choice, James complied.
The casino staff confiscated the phones of James and his men, and everyone was ushered out of the casino.
Antonio followed the scar-faced man inside and was immediately met with the sight of his children huddled in a corner.
But he froze, his face a mask of disbelief. This couldn't be...
At that moment, a man sauntered out and chuckled, "Oh, Mr. Valencia, don't you recognize your own child? Should I have them introduce themselves?"
The speaker was Jason Alan, the notorious owner of the Evergreen Chess Club.
Antonio had investigated this man before. In his investigation of Victor, he had naturally delved into the background of the casino's owner.
Jason was infamous for his unscrupulous ways. Those who crossed him rarely met a pleasant end.
He was also known for his ruthlessness, a trait that had allowed him to expand the Evergreen Chess Club to its current size.
However, at this moment, Antonio had no time to consider Jason's character. His gaze was fixed on the three children in the corner.
Ryan was absent, but there were indeed three children.
And, astonishingly, there were two Ethans!
How could there be two Ethans?!
