Chapter 273 Sarah Can Only See One Man
Antonio slammed his fist heavily against the door. It didn't budge. He took a step back, ready to kick it open, when his phone suddenly rang with its distinctive ringtone.
'It's Sarah?!'
Antonio quickly answered, roaring, "Sarah, open the door! I—"
Before he could finish his sentence, the door creaked open. A greasy-looking man stood there with a woman who appeared to be a waitress, both of them looking puzzled at the motionless Antonio.
"Who the fuck are you..." the man snraled.,
But his attitude immediately changed as soon as he recognized the person before him, his attitude immediately changed. "M-Mr. Valencia! What brings you here?" the man stammered.
Antonio instantly calmed down, realizing he had misunderstood the situation. He kept a stern face and nodded curtly. "Sorry for knocking on the wrong door. Please continue."
With that, he turned and walked away.
He quickly picked up his phone again "Sarah, where are you!? Weren't we supposed to stay put? Why didn't you answer my calls?!"
Antonio's voice was hoarse, his fear palpable even in his shouts.
His outburst took Sarah aback. "What are you yelling about? I've been waiting for you at the garden entrance. My phone had no signal just now. Hurry up and come."
Antonio breathed a sigh of relief and hurried his pace towards the hotel's garden.
…
"Sarah!"
Antonio immediately spotted Sarah sitting on a chair. Upon hearing his voice, Sarah stood up and ran straight into Antonio's embrace after confirming it was him.
"Antonio..."
Sarah didn't dwell on how Antonio had shouted at her earlier. Instead, she held onto him tightly, her whole body trembling.
She was truly frightened just now, thinking she had lost him!
Upon witnessing this, Antonio's heart filled with nothing but tenderness.
He held Sarah, soothing her back. "Sarah, what exactly happened just now? Take your time telling me."
Sarah took a deep breath, finally feeling completely relieved. The only one who could give her this sense of security was Antonio.
"I went to the restroom on the third floor to clean my clothes. Unknowingly, I inhaled something that made me feel unwell, like I was drugged."
Sarah recounted the events that had occurred at the party.
"What?! I need to take you to the hospital right away! Did you encounter anyone before you went to the restroom?!"
As soon as Antonio heard that Sarah was in distress, he was like an enraged lion whose territory had been violated. He wanted to find the perpetrator and tear them apart.
He nervously examined Sarah from head to toe, checking for any injuries.
Sarah pressed Antonio's hand and took out a small spray bottle from her bag. "I'm fine. Look at this."
"What is it?" Antonio asked.
"It's peppermint essential oil, very potent." Sarah smiled and said, "Sometimes, I tend to feel drowsy while handling documents. I often carry this with me to stay alert.
"When I felt dizzy, a male waiter approached me. I sprayed this on myself and regained consciousness. Later, fearing for my safety, I quickly came to the garden."
Earlier…
As soon as Sarah reached the third floor, she felt that something was wrong.
She sprayed almost half a bottle of peppermint essential oil on a thick stack of toilet paper in the restroom.
When she was on the verge of fainting, she summoned the last bit of strength and covered her nose with the scented toilet paper.
It jolted her awake instantly.
Not only that, but she also started recording a video on her phone so that she could gather evidence in time if someone really wanted to harm her.
But only one male waiter came to the third floor, appearing as if he wanted to help Sarah down.
Once he saw that Sarah had regained consciousness, he left on his own.
Sarah realized she had fallen into a trap. Hurriedly, she made her way to the garden and drank an entire bottle of cold water. This brought some relief to her condition.
The signal in the garden fluctuated between good and bad. In her haste, she failed to notice the missed calls on her phone.
After Antonio listened, his face darkened. This couldn't be just a coincidence.
'Could it be Asa?'
"I heard that Asa came?" Antonio asked.
His expression turned cold when he mentioned that name.
Sarah nodded, "Yes, but according to the waiter, it seems like he has already left. I didn't see him when I came out either."
Pausing for a moment, she observed Antonio's expression and asked, "Do you think it's him?"
Antonio snorted and looked away.
Asa had the audacity to send Antonio compromising photos of him and Sarah five years ago, thinking he could get away with it.
And now, he was trying to frame Sarah.
Antonio wasn't sure whether to be angry or relieved.
With these thoughts in mind, he looked deeply into Sarah's eyes.
'Why are so many people coveting my woman?'
He truly desired for Sarah to spend her entire life seeing only him, and no other man...
