Chapter 733 Night Infiltration

The room was kitty-corner from the Chairman's Office, but man, it was a whole different vibe from the rest of the place. It had this heavy, mysterious aura, definitely not your run-of-the-mill office.

Even the door looked like it belonged in some military bunker, all bulletproof and explosion-proof.

Hearing that, Elbert's eyes flickered a bit, and he said, "Sorry, you can't go there."

Seeing Antonio's annoyed face, he added, "Mr. White, don't get mad. It's not that I don't want to let you in, but it's our company's research lab. There might be some chemicals in there, and since Mrs. White is pregnant, we can't risk it."

Antonio dramatically shielded Sarah and said, "Babe! Let's steer clear of that place!"

He patted himself like he was scared of getting contaminated or something.

Sarah played along, looking all scared, saying, "Let's get out of here quick! What if it hurts the baby?"

Elbert found the whole act pretty funny.

At the same time, he let his guard down around them.

'With their lack of sophistication, what could they possibly do?' he thought.

As long as they bought into the Harrington Group's project, signed the contract, and paid up, it was all good.

Elbert asked, "Mr. White, anything else you wanna know?"

Antonio furrowed his brows like he was deep in thought.

Then he said, "Not right now. Let me check out your project proposal first. If I think of anything else, I'll hit you up."

Elbert smelled a win and quickly had someone bring the proposal.

He smiled warmly, "Mr. White, feel free to contact me if you have any questions!"

"Alright." Antonio shook his hand. "Let's wrap it up for today! It's such a hassle dragging a pregnant woman around! But she just won't let go of me, Elbert, please bear with us."

"Not at all." Elbert smiled, "Mr. White, your relationship is really something."

He walked them out of the company, watching their flashy sports car. He tried hard to hide the mockery in his eyes and shook hands in farewell. "Mr. White, drive safe and come back anytime!"

It wasn't until the sports car zoomed off that he dropped his fake smile.

The assistant next to him asked, "Mr. Perry, you think this deal will go through?"

"Why wouldn't it?" Elbert said confidently, with a cold sneer. "People like them, with no taste, would jump at the chance to partner with a top company like ours. Just wait and see!"

Meanwhile, Sarah and Antonio didn't give it much thought. After leaving the Harrington Group, they hit up a well-known local restaurant for a meal.

Antonio suggested, "The food here is pretty good, give it a shot."

Sarah had a good appetite lately and wasn't picky.

She looked around and was tempted by the brightly colored seafood chowder. After some hesitation, she scooped a little into her mouth.

"Wow, it's really good!" Her eyes lit up, exclaiming, "You gotta try this!"

Antonio found her licking her lips adorable and couldn't help but say, "If you like it so much, why not have a bit more?"

"No."

Sarah shook her head and said, "Pregnant women should eat less seafood!"

Antonio didn't push it and instead served her two other dishes.

He suddenly said, "Elbert wasn't totally BSing. That room is a lab. I went in when I was 'Benjamin.'"

But back then, he had no clue a chip was stuck in him, nor did he smell any conspiracy.

Sarah, munching away, shared her thoughts, "But his vibe makes me think there's more to it than just a lab."

Antonio nodded. "You're sharp."

He now suspected that the key to controlling the chip was inside.

However, he kept this hunch to himself and instead piled more food on Sarah's plate. "Eat up. Tonight, come with me. I wanna see what secrets that lab's hiding."

Sarah didn't catch his dark look and asked, "What if we get caught?"

"We won't." Antonio looked at her lovingly and added, "I left your diamond earring there on purpose."

Since Elbert kindly gave him a pass card, how could he not make good use of it?

Sarah suddenly remembered and smiled knowingly, "Alright, I'll go with you tonight. You go upstairs, and I'll keep watch downstairs!"

Antonio picked out fish bones for her and nodded. "Deal."

It was a moonless, windy night.

A sports car parked at the side front of the Harrington Group building.

After turning off the car lights, Antonio didn't get out immediately but quietly watched the building entrance, occasionally glancing at his wristwatch.

Sarah watched for a long time, not knowing what he was looking at, asking, "Aren't we going in yet?"

"Wait a bit longer." Antonio patiently explained, "At this time, the security guards should be patrolling, but after one round, they'll probably slack off for a while."

Sarah suddenly got it. "That makes sense!"

Sure enough, not long after, four guys in security uniforms walked out of the building, chatting as they headed to the flower bed, turning off their flashlights and hanging them on their backs.

Antonio grinned. "I'm going now."

"Okay."

Sarah was still a bit nervous and asked, a bit worried, "Did you turn off your phone's sound? If anything happens, I'll text you."

"Yep." Antonio kissed her, assuring, "Don't worry, I'll be back soon."

With that, he opened the car door and got out.

The Harrington Group was a standalone twin-tower building, not in a bustling area, with sparse streetlights around, making it look very dim.

Antonio quickly walked in, using the pass card to open the downstairs access control, and took the elevator to the top floor.

Actually, he had a pass card for the building, with "Benjamin's" high-level access, which would record every entry.

But he couldn't use it, as it would blow his cover.

That was why he went to the trouble of getting a generic pass card, unregistered, usable by anyone.

The whole building was eerily quiet, exuding a mysterious and eerie vibe.

And the door to the mysterious lab naturally had a password lock.

Logically, such an important place shouldn't have such a simple lock; at the very least, it should have fingerprint recognition.

But Harold had a disability in his hand and always wore a pair of leather gloves, which had almost become a part of him.

He never liked taking them off and wasn't used to using any fingerprint-locked devices, which made things easier for Antonio tonight.
