Chapter 409 A Daughter Again?

Brian sighed, realizing his diverse business interests spanning various sectors abroad. Not only did he contemplate owning a paternity testing center, but he also entertained the idea of acquiring a private hospital.

Brian meticulously considered matters of clothing, food, housing, and transportation, recognizing their significance in daily life. Should Sarah or his siblings require anything, they wouldn't have to endure waiting in line elsewhere; they could have whatever they desired.

Brian fell silent for a moment as he pondered Antonio's lack of a paternity testing center. Eventually, he let out a soft sigh and remarked, "Relying on others for this sort of thing is just not dependable."

"Brian, are you implying that someone might have tampered with it?" Antonio no longer dwelled on his recent heartache, his expression turning serious.

"We can't be certain about that, especially when it concerns Mommy. We should be more cautious."

Antonio felt as if he had been struck by a heavy blow. Was his son still looking down on him?

"You're right. Indeed, we need personal supervision, but there are currently no private paternity testing centers in the country. How about going abroad and having someone oversee it from start to finish?"

Antonio also wanted to maintain full control, but the domestic system was different from abroad. Some medical institutions lacked the necessary qualifications for individuals.

"No need for that hassle, I have a solution."

Antonio blinked his eyes, simultaneously struck and pleasantly surprised. Was this the happiness of a student surpassing the teacher?

Brian immediately contacted Alex. "Find out where Victor lives and collect his DNA sample, whether it's hair or nails."

It wasn't difficult to find out where Victor lived. He had already disappeared, leaving his previous place in a rush without being able to tidy it up at all. Collecting the samples would be much easier.

Sending these samples, along with Sarah's hair or blood, for evaluation at his own institution abroad would leave no room for error.

This way, they could thoroughly confirm whether Victor was truly Sarah's biological father.

Brian's suspicions were not baseless. Victor had appeared out of nowhere, claiming to be Sarah's biological father upon seeing her. However, they hadn't effectively communicated many details between them. Besides asking for money, he had even resorted to kidnapping.

What biological father would do such a thing after finding his own daughter?

Brian had also heard Sarah talk about his grandmother before. How could such an outstanding person fall for such a fugitive?

Considering everything, there must have been something fishy about this situation!

Once everything was arranged, the nutritionist and chef also arrived at the villa. Following dinner, the private doctor examined each child individually. Finding no other issues, they all retired to their rooms.

Antonio finished his meal and then followed Sarah back to her room.

"It's late, you should rest."

Sarah was very worried. After a day of rushing around, she hadn't had a proper rest in the evening. Wasn't she just waiting for her injuries to flare up again?

Antonio sat on the bed, looking somewhat pathetic. "Sarah, I need to change my dressing, but I can't reach the spot on my shoulder."

Sarah sighed. "Why are you becoming more proficient at acting pitiful?"

Antonio blinked innocently. "Am I really acting pitiful? I genuinely can't reach it."
"But why didn't you say that when the doctor was examining you earlier?" Sarah couldn't help but expose him, yet she still went to the living room to get the medicine kit.

"It wasn't time to change the dressing yet. Isn't it a waste? Although our family is wealthy, I still know the value of frugality. After all, our three sons will eventually need to marry," Antonio said.

Knowing that Sarah had a soft heart despite her tough exterior, Antonio quietly sat on the edge of the bed and waited for her to change his dressing.

Sarah had grown tired of arguing with Antonio. She peeled off his bandage and examined the reddened wound, bitterness welling up in her eyes.

She shuddered to think what might have happened if the police hadn't arrived on time, or if they had been just a few minutes late. The bomb had been perilously close, and the knife had hovered dangerously near Antonio.

Today, they had both stared death in the face. The chilling terror of that moment still haunted her whenever she recalled it.

"I told you I'm fine," Antonio sensed Sarah's anxiety and gently pulled her into his arms. "I only have a minor injury, but it won't hinder me from protecting you and our children."

"You and your smooth tongue," Sarah nestled against Antonio's body, her ear pressed tightly against his chest, listening to his strong and steady heartbeat.

How dangerous it was!

She almost couldn't hear such a heartbeat again.

Sarah's hand involuntarily touched Antonio's chest, and her eyes were filled with gratitude for their narrow escape.

Feeling her touch, Antonio struggled to swallow. It wasn't his sensitivity, but Sarah was the longing of his heart. Just a glance from her was enough to ignite primal instincts beyond control.

Antonio suddenly pressed Sarah down beneath him. "Sarah, don't you think we already have enough sons?"

"So, you don't want to have another one?" Sarah helplessly mouthed the corners of her lips. "Get up quickly, stop fooling around. Your injury hasn't healed yet."

"What I mean is, should we have another daughter to balance things out..."
