Chapter 64 No Way to Divorce

The judge's words hit Lusa like a ton of bricks. Her mind went blank, and she turned ghostly pale.

Next thing she knew, two bailiffs were hauling her away. The court decided to lock her up until the next trial.

She tried to frame Brady but ended up screwing herself over. She was a wannabe internet star with dreams of marrying rich, but now, her fancy life plans were toast.

It was too much for Lusa, and she passed out cold.

"Lusa!" Lisa watched her hit the floor but didn't dare get close. She just stood there, helpless, as the bailiffs carried Lusa away.

Lisa freaked out, not thinking straight, and bolted like a scared rabbit.

Meanwhile, Sarah watched the truth come out and finally let out a relieved smile.

Lusa had it coming and deserved every bit of it!

Too bad Lisa didn't get what was coming to her.

The truth cleared Brady's name, and he was set free on the spot.

A smile finally broke through his tired face. The second he was free, he sprinted towards Sarah.

Sarah ran to him too, tears streaming down her face.

They hugged tight, and Brady gently stroked Sarah's hair, his voice shaky, "Sarah, thank you."

He'd waited five long years for this moment, and now he was finally back with Sarah!

Sarah, choking up, said, "I promised I'd get you out. Let's go home!"

She wanted to spill everything to Brady, like about herthree awesome kids.

She couldn't wait to tell him how Brian had found Rio and helped clear his name.

As the crowd thinned out, Antonio stood up, still calm, eyes locked on them, his gaze intense.

Leaving the courthouse, Sarah immediately called Brian.

"Brian, you're a genius! Thanks to you finding Rio, Brady's free!" she gushed as soon as the call connected.

There was a brief silence before Brian's confused voice came through, "Mom, what are you talking about? Rio was found?"

Now it was Sarah's turn to be stunned. "Wasn't it you who brought Rio over?"

She looked ahead and saw something shocking.

The two bodyguards who had escorted Rio to the courthouse walked straight to Antonio and bowed respectfully!

Those were Antonio's guys? So, Antonio found Rio!

She stood there, phone in hand, feeling all sorts of confused.

First, he hid the surveillance footage, and now he found the witness. Antonio had been working behind the scenes to clear Brady's name.

But why? Wasn't Brady supposed to have stabbed him back then?

He had no reason to help Brady.

"Mom? Mom, you there?"

Brian's voice snapped Sarah out of her thoughts. She quickly replied, "Oh, sorry, sweetie. Mom's got something to handle right now. I'll fill you in later!"

Seeing Antonio heading her way, she wrapped up the call and hung up.

She stood there, awkwardly avoiding eye contact with him.

Antonio glanced at her, his eyes flickering like he had something to say, but all he managed was a curt, "Let's go."

"Uh, okay," Sarah mumbled awkwardly.

Antonio drove Brady back to his old place. The whole ride, Brady didn't say a word, just kept giving Antonio the side-eye.

Seeing Antonio with Sarah today made Brady uneasy.

Sarah had a lot to say to Brady, but not with Antonio around, so she kept quiet too.

When they got to Brady's place, they got out, but Antonio stayed in the car, looking stone-faced.

Brady pulled Sarah aside, glancing warily at the car. "Sarah, why are you still hanging around Antonio?"

"I..." Sarah stammered, not knowing where to start.

She really wanted nothing to do with Antonio anymore. The plan was to get Brady out and then skip town.

But then the kids came back, crashed Antonio's wedding, Harper got snatched by Antonio, and she ended up being a nanny, eventually blowing her cover.

Too much had happened too fast to explain in a few words.

And Brady didn't give her a chance to explain, cutting in, "Sarah, I don't want you to get hurt again. Antonio's a troublesome guy. Remember how he treated you? Being with him will only bring you pain!"

Thinking about what happened five years ago, Brady was filled with rage. When he heard Sarah was dead, he wanted to kill Antonio!

Now that Sarah was alive, he was determined to protect her and never let Antonio hurt her again!

Sarah got why Brady hated Antonio, but without Antonio's help today, Brady wouldn't be free.

"Brady, listen to me. Actually, today it was him..."

"It's time to go. Get in the car!" Antonio's cold voice cut her off.

She turned and saw Antonio standing by the car, his eyes locked on her, his face unreadable but clearly annoyed.

Brady, clueless about the situation, didn't hide his hostility, gripping Sarah's hand tightly, wanting to tell her not to go with Antonio.

But Sarah shook her head helplessly, saying, "Brady, you've been through a lot. Go home and rest. I'll come see you tomorrow."

She didn't want to go back to that villa either, but Harper was still there. She couldn't just leave him.

Brady said, "Sarah!"

Sarah understood what Brady meant and patted his hand to reassure him. "Trust me, I'll handle everything and then divorce him."

Antonio, hearing the word "divorce," felt a chill in his eyes, filled with endless displeasure and sternness.

What did Sarah take him for?

Did she think she could divorce him just like that?

No way!
