Chapter 288 It Really Seems Abnormal

Ethan never responded to Sarah with a counter-question and always directly answered the question without beating around the bush.

Brian was secretly startled. "I mean, Ryan is fine. I wouldn't argue with him."

Sarah temporarily let go of her worries. "That's good, let's go eat."

In the following days, Sarah became even more suspicious.

After finishing their meals, the children used to play in the living room or garden. However, now they promptly retreated to their rooms after eating, frequently carrying an abundance of snacks with them.

Sometimes, they would even eat directly in their rooms, consuming more than usual.

"The children are growing, so you shouldn't worry too much."

Although Antonio also sensed something was off, he didn't dwell on it.

After dinner, Harper came running out of their room, followed by Ethan, who hadn't smiled for a few days.

"Mommy, Daddy, can I talk to you about something?"

"What is it?"

"We want to sleep together in one room, and I want to play with my brothers at night."

"Sleep together?" Sarah still found it strange. Even at home, she had never seen the two kids insist on sleeping together.

Both Ethan and Brian had their own rooms.

Antonio thought it was nothing. Well, they were just kids. If they wanted to sleep together in a few years, he wouldn't object.

"Well then, Daddy will go arrange the beds for you." Antonio stood up after speaking.

At that moment, Ethan, standing behind them, suddenly said, "Four beds, please."

Antonio subconsciously glanced at Sarah, but he didn't ask further.

After relocating the beds, the three children promptly transported their luggage into the room and secured the door, steadfastly refusing to emerge.

"I need to find out what they're doing," Sarah said, feeling compelled to approach and knock on the door.

Their behavior seemed unusually peculiar. Living together was one thing, but why the insistence on locking the door?

Antonio quickly pulled her back. "Children also need their own private space. What's wrong with locking the door? It's their own room, don't get angry."

"I'm not angry, I just feel like these kids are up to something."

Antonio rubbed Sarah's head. "You shouldn't think that way about our own children."

Actually, he was also puzzled. These kids never used to lock their doors and never prevented him and Sarah from entering their rooms.

Especially the fact that they moved into one room. There were only three kids, so why did Ethan insist on having four beds?

Inside the room…While eating, Ethan asked, "Brian, how much longer do we have to pretend? I feel like Mommy's been looking at me differently lately."

He had been hiding in his room these past few days, occasionally going out for fresh air, but he always ran into Sarah.

He felt like Sarah cared about him and was suspicious of him, making him uncomfortable.

"Yeah, big brother, Ethan's been eating and sleeping poorly these past few days, always worried that Mommy will find out. It can't go on like this."

"It's not a solution." Brian also knew that Ethan had been treated unfairly these past few days. "Ethan, trust me. Once I confirm what's in my heart, I will definitely restore your identity, alright?"

"How about you three go out and have some fun later? Just be careful not to reveal anything. Ethan shouldn't stay in his room all the time, it's not good for his health. He needs to go out and walk around."

And it happened to be the weekend. Antonio and Sarah were always staying at home, which was driving Ethan crazy during the day.

"Okay, then I'll be back soon. Brian, you'll have to bear with it and stay under the bed or in the closet. I'm afraid Mommy will come in to tidy up the room. It's not good if we're not in the room and it's locked."

After finishing his meal, Ethan took Harper and Ryan out to play.

The three children had a great time playing in the garden.

Antonio and Sarah walked over. "Hold on, don't go crazy. Come have some water. Look at how much you're sweating."

Antonio held a few bottles of cola in his hand and handed one to Ethan. "Ethan, here, your favorite cola."

Ethan was quite happy playing and had no idea that Brian had asked Antonio for something before. He simply waved his hand. "I never drink cola. Water is fine."

"But didn't you want to drink an ice-cold cola that day?"
