Chapter 247 Antonio's Heartache
Seeing his serious expression, Michael couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration. Such a young boy, yet able to remain calm in the face of danger and still thinking about how to save their parents...
"But Ethan, where do we go to find Mommy and Daddy? We can't even contact them now. Do you think they will..." Harper couldn't help but worry and fear when it came to Sarah, despite usually being clever and having her own opinions.
Ethan quickly held her hand. "Harper, don't worry. We still have our big brother. We can contact him and ask him to help find them. Trust me, everything will be fine. Mommy will be safe."
Looking at the two strong children, Michael felt moved. He must take good care of them!
After making his decision, Ethan immediately sent a message to Brian, who was abroad, anxiously waiting for his reply.
Meanwhile, Brian received the news of Sarah's disappearance and was shocked, jumping up from his chair!
"What? Mommy is missing!"
For a moment, he felt like his heart stopped.
He immediately contacted his subordinates and started to look for Sarah's whereabouts.
...
In the fishing village, Sarah had dinner with Richard's family, while Richard had to go out fishing. When Sarah heard that he was going out to sea, her eyes suddenly lit up.
Her phone had fallen into the water, and combined with the remote location of the fishing village, the signal was already weak. She couldn't contact her family at all. Sarah really wanted to know if the children at home were still safe and became even more worried as time went on.
Upon learning that Richard planned to go fishing, she pondered joining him at sea, hoping it might provide an opportunity to return. Genuine concern for her children's safety weighed heavily on her mind.
"Richard, can you do me a favor?" She knew that Richard had already helped them tremendously by saving them. Still, she could only turn to him for help in this remote place where she didn't know anyone and couldn't contact others.
Upon seeing her earnest gaze and the slight frown on her delicate face, Richard's protective instinct swelled up in his heart. He immediately patted his chest and said, "Tell me. As long as it's something I can help with, I will do my best to assist you."
Feeling grateful for his willingness to help, Sarah said, "I want to go out to sea. I must go back because I have something important to do... Can you take me back on your boat? I need to contact my family."
As soon as the subject of going out to sea was brought up, Richard's previously determined expression instantly turned into one of hesitation. He looked at Sarah's hopeful eyes before he let out a sigh.
"Few individuals from our fishing village dare to venture into the deep sea. The waves in these waters can be treacherous, and hardly any fishermen who ventured far out returned alive…"
He tried to persuade Sarah to give up on the idea, but her desire to go out to sea was much stronger and urgent than he anticipated. She quickly shook her head.
"No worries, I can sail on my own. Do you have a boat that you can lend me? I promise to repay you as long as I safely cross the sea."
"Absolutely not. I won't let you go out to sea alone. Besides, isn't your husband still unconscious? Do you really want to leave him now?"
Seeing that she couldn’t be persuaded, Richard had to bring up the unconscious Antonio.
Sarah suddenly realized that Antonio hadn't woken up yet, and she wouldn't leave him behind and go first. But what about the children?
That man in black would surely not spare the children since he had brazenly attacked them. As long as they didn't return, the children would be in danger for an extra day.
Her eyebrows knitted together, her mind in chaos. For a moment, she lost her focus and nearly stumbled.
Richard immediately caught her. His hand touched Sarah's soft body, and Richard stuttered, "A-Are you alright?"
Sarah quickly tried to stand on her own to show her gratitude, but her gaze suddenly noticed a familiar figure standing at the door of the room.
Antonio was awake!
She immediately let go of Richard's embrace and rushed towards the man, "Antonio, you finally woke up! That's great... That's great!"
She hugged him tightly, tears welling up in her eyes and falling onto Antonio's arm, piercing his heart with pain. He returned the embrace, his eyes brimming with tenderness as he gently patted her back for comfort.
But then, he concealed his tenderness and abruptly shifted his gaze to Richard behind Sarah, his eyes flashing with a chilling coldness.
Richard felt goosebumps all over his body, feeling that the man in front of him was quite terrifying.
Sarah belatedly realized her own behavior and quickly wiped away her tears, pulling Antonio towards Richard.
"Antonio, this is Richard. He saved us."
Facing Antonio, Richard suddenly felt out of place and unsure of what to say or do.
After a moment of hesitation, he quickly said, "Hello, I'm Richard."
Even though someone had saved him, Antonio replied indifferently, "Antonio."
However, his gaze remained fixed on Richard's, even though he had just awakened and still appeared weak and pale.
But Richard felt that this man's presence was intimidating.
He couldn't help but wonder what exactly Antonio had done to have such an imposing aura!
