Chapter 886 Antonio's Jealousy
Sarah screamed twice in fright, not caring if there were others around. She quickly put down her bag and started taking off her clothes, trying to shake out the moth inside!
She had always been allergic to the powder on moths, and now that she was pregnant, an allergic reaction would be troublesome!
Francis hadn't noticed what was happening earlier; he just vaguely saw two bugs. Seeing her panicked state, he asked with concern, "Sarah, what's wrong?"
"There's a moth!"
Weren't these bugs only around in the summer?
Sarah was speechless. She didn't even know where the bug had gone. She unbuttoned her clothes, anxiously searching while explaining to him. "I'm allergic to moths. The worst time when I was a kid, I ended up in the hospital!"
Hearing this, Francis instinctively reached out to help, "Let me help you check."
Sarah was more than happy to accept his help and gave him a grateful look. "Thank you, Francis!"
Neither of them noticed the flashing lights outside the window, aimed right in their direction.
After a while, Sarah finally shook the moths out of her clothes. She still felt itchy all over, but it was probably just psychological.
Seeing her tidying up her clothes, Francis averted his gaze and said, "Sarah, if you really feel uncomfortable, do you want to see a dermatologist first?"
"No need." Sarah slung her bag over her shoulder again, "Let's go out and ask what's going on first."
Elara had clearly said Ryan was in ward 305, but there was obviously no one there, and it didn't even look like a regular ward.
After asking around, a nurse said it was an examination room, "The patient you're looking for is in ward 588. He should have finished his IV by now."
They thanked the nurse and took the elevator upstairs.
Sarah felt something was off. If it was an examination room, the nurse Elara spoke to shouldn't have confused it, right?
But then she thought, maybe Ryan was having an examination in ward 305 at that time, and Elara was just anxious and misheard.
Upstairs, Ryan had just had the needle removed from his hand.
Ryan's little face was still pale from the earlier pain.
Sarah felt heartbroken and quickly went over to hug him, "Ryan, how are you feeling? Any better? Hmm?"
Ryan didn't know what was wrong with him. Seeing Sarah made him feel emotional, and combined with his earlier guilt, he didn't know what to say. He just let her hug him, lowering his head in discomfort.
Antonio handed the examination report to Francis and explained, "It's not a big issue. The doctor said it was diarrhea caused by food poisoning. Luckily, we brought him in time."
"Can he go home now?"
"Yes, just take the medication for two more days at home."
Sarah initially wanted to carry Ryan, but Antonio quickly took him, pretending to scold her, "You can barely walk yourself, and you still want to carry Ryan? Hmm?"
Sarah pouted and glared at him. "I want to carry Ryan, so what?"
Ryan then softly said, "Mommy, your belly is big. It's inconvenient. I can walk by myself."
Francis, watching this scene, couldn't help but soften his gaze.
Seeing Ryan continue to live with them, he felt relieved from the bottom of his heart. Whether or not he had a chance to come back in the future, at least Ryan could grow up healthy.
Back home, Lisa came out and saw Antonio carrying Ryan, while Sarah was smiling and teasing Ryan.
It seemed the hospital incident hadn't affected them much! But how long could they keep smiling?
Her eyes flashed as she walked forward. "Mr. Valencia, Mrs. Valencia, how is Ryan ?"
Francis handed over the medication and said calmly, "He's fine. Just needs to take the medication on time for the next two days. Be more careful with what the kids eat in the future."
Elara quickly agreed, "Yes, Mr. Francis Valencia, I'll be more careful!"
She looked at Ryan with concern before putting the medication away.
Ryan didn't have the energy to cling to her today.
His stomach had hurt so much earlier that it drained all his strength. He fell asleep shortly after Antonio carried him.
Francis went back to the room with him, silently sitting by the bed, his deep gaze fixed on the sleeping Ryan, not moving for a long time.
Antonio found it strange and asked when he returned to the room, "What's up with Francis? He seems preoccupied."
Sarah handed him her coat, thinking about what Francis had asked her to keep secret earlier, and sighed silently, "He probably regrets missing out on Ryan's early years."
Antonio didn't think much of it and said gently, "Ryan doesn't blame him. There will be plenty of opportunities for companionship in the future."
But he didn't know that opportunities were slim for Francis.
He was leaving that night for a major development project, which was why he stayed in Ryan's room for so long. After all, Ryan was his only tie now.
Not long after Francis left, a piece of news suddenly broke online.
#Mrs. Valencia Leads a Chaotic Private Life, Seeks Thrills During Pregnancy
Such a headline undoubtedly attracted a lot of attention.
What shocked Sarah even more was that the reporter had secretly photographed her and Francis!
It was the scene of them frantically searching for the moth in ward 305!
She had indeed taken off her coat at that time, and from the highly technical photos, it looked like Francis was also pulling at her clothes, making it seem like they were eager to have sex!
The article was very clear, stating that Sarah had not been involved in company affairs since becoming pregnant and was instead indulging in men every day!
The reporter even claimed that he was originally staking out a female celebrity at the hospital but stumbled upon Sarah's affair.
The comments from netizens were even worse, saying all sorts of nasty things.
Sarah leaned on the couch, staring at the content on the tablet, feeling completely stunned.
How could she possibly have anything to do with Francis?
Antonio hadn't expected such news either. He walked in quickly and saw Sarah sitting on the couch in a daze.
Although he knew nothing could happen between Francis and Sarah, seeing those photos and thinking about the past made him feel a bit uncomfortable.
This was a man's inherent flaw, especially for Antonio. He couldn't stand seeing any man too close to Sarah!
"Sarah."
Sarah didn't respond.
Antonio sighed silently and sat down next to her, "Can you tell me what happened between you and Francis?"
