Chapter 520 Want a Taste of Antonio
But Serene had only given him seven minutes. Antonio had no time to delay. He pounded the steering wheel with both hands, seemingly oblivious to the pain.
He then took a deep breath, gritted his teeth, trying to calm himself as much as possible, and pressed hard on the accelerator.
The road up the mountain was winding and rugged. The bumpy ground seemed to jolt the car.
However, Antonio felt nothing; he was even speeding up the higher he went, rushing straight to the top of the mountain.
As soon as he parked the car, he saw a sight that chilled him to the bone—Sarah and Kevin were hanging from a tree!
The tree was thick and tall, and its crown stretched to the edge of a cliff.
Sarah and Kevin were each tied to a rope on either side of the tree. The ropes were fixed to a branch near the crown and below them was the cliff.
Antonio felt as if a giant hand was squeezing his insides, making it impossible for him to breathe. He screamed hoarsely, "Sarah!"
Sarah was in a terrible state, and her mouth was bound with black tape.
After seeing Antonio, she tried to move, but the branch trembled with her, almost making Antonio's eyes pop out in fear.
Serene, dressed in a wine-red skirt suit with immaculate make up, looked as if she were attending a high-society party rather than a murder plot.
She watched the man getting out of the car leisurely, enjoying the frantic expression on his face. How exciting!
She chuckled, "Antonio, you're finally here, huh?"
"Serene!" Antonio's icy gaze shot at her as his eyes reddened with rage. "What the hell have you done to them?!"
"Pfft, what a silly question... Can't you see? Of course, I'm going to kill them." Serene's face carried a teasing smile. "But if you want to know the details, come closer... I'll tell you very, very slowly, okay?"
The vein on Antonio's forehead throbbed. He pulled his heart-wrenching gaze from Sarah, strode up to Serene, reached out, and grabbed her throat, slowly tightening his grip.
"Do you want to die?!" His chilling voice seemed to come from hell. No one would doubt whether Antonio would really crush Serene's windpipe. When this man got ruthless, he was like Satan.
Indeed, Antonio wanted to tear Serene to pieces!
Her face turned red in an instant and tears welled up in her eyes from the physical strain, but she was not afraid at all.
"You... you won't kill me... cough! If I die... your Sarah, cough... will die too!"
Serene's smile twisted horribly. Her oxygen supply was dwindling; she was barely holding on. Finally, she raised her hand and waved. A dozen bodyguards immediately rushed up and restrained Antonio, pushing him to the ground.
Bloodthirsty fury blazed in Antonio's eyes. He fought back against the bodyguards, but they outnumbered him and gradually overpowered him.
His head was pressed hard against the rough ground. His forehead was scraped and bleeding, but he didn't care. His attention was focused only on the cold black weapons at the bodyguards' waists.
Serene watched as the man in front of her was quickly subdued by the bodyguards.
Her smile never faded; this ordeal filled her with a kind of crazy pleasure.
The feeling of being on the brink of death yet holding the winning ticket was utterly fascinating to her.
She took a moment to compose herself, casually brushing the messy hair from her face, then walked over to Antonio.
She squatted down, her gaze adoringly fixed on Antonio, "Antonio, do you have any idea how much I've missed you..."
Antonio struggled to lift his head. Serene's nauseating smile was reflected in his dark eyes. He cursed, "You crazy woman! What the hell do you want?! Let them go! If you have a problem, come at me! If you dare touch a hair on their heads, I swear your entire family will pay!"
Serene giggled, "My entire family? Thanks to you and Sarah, I don't have a father anymore; my father belongs to someone else! Isn't that your doing?!"
Antonio spat blood on the ground, snarling, "So you admit you took Sarah's place?!"
Serene feigned innocence and pouted, but the next second she was squinting and laughing again, "That's not important anymore. She wanted a father, so I gave her mine. But in exchange, she has to give me you. Isn't that fair?"
With that, she reached out, carefully caressing Antonio's face.
Antonio turned his head away in disgust, "Get lost!"
Serene forced his face back, "Are you shy? I know you have feelings for me, right? If it weren't for Sarah, we might be married by now!"
She was growing crazier by the second, and her expression was gradually becoming twisted.
"You're full of shit! All I've ever felt for you is disgust!!"
Serene's expression froze for a moment, then she laughed again.
"You really like to contradict yourself... But I just love it when you say one thing and mean another!"
With that, she leaned in closer. Her fingers were clutching Antonio's jaw, and her tongue darted out to lick the corner of his mouth.
"You look so delicious; I want to have a taste."
