Chapter 965 Is Nia Eden?

Seeing the kids so excited, the adults had mixed feelings. They knew the whole truth, but the children had always treated Nia like their own little sister.

Sarah furrowed her brow and sighed.

"Hey, everyone, calm down. I... I need to tell you some truth."

The kids exchanged glances and said in unison, "Mom, you say."

"Actually... Nia isn't your sister."

As Sarah said this, a pang of pain hit her heart. She knelt down and pulled the kids into a hug. "Nia is Bob's sister. He asked me to look after her for a while. So, it's only right that her mom took her back. Do you understand?"

The kids were stunned, unable to react for a moment.

Harper tugged at Sarah's hand. "Mom... if that's the case, where is our sister?"

"Your sister, she..."

Sarah started to speak but found it hard to continue.

Sofia and Mary, seeing her downcast eyes, knew she was thinking about Eden again. They felt sad too, but didn't know how to comfort her.

Antonio, with a furrowed brow, stepped forward and gently held Sarah's shoulder. "Your sister is in a faraway place and can't come back right now. She's doing well and knows you all miss her."

Sarah's fingers clenched tightly. She forced a smile after hearing his words.

"Dad's right... Your sister is far away."

No one spoke.

The atmosphere grew somber.

After a while, Brian, who had been silent, suddenly spoke up. "Mom, how can you be sure Nia isn't Eden? She looks so much like mom."

Ethan and Harper might not have caught the hint in Sarah's words, but Brian did.

Eden...

Could Nia really be Eden?

Everyone was taken aback by his words. Ethan was the first to react, quickly pulling out photos from their vacation from his small bag.

"Yeah, Mom, we even found old photos of you and Dad. Nia looks just like you."

Harper raised his hand. "I agree! They look the same!"

Ryan nodded. "Mom, Dad, look. They really do look alike."

Sarah stared blankly as the kids held the photos up to her, pointing out the similarities between her and the little girl in her arms.

Mary and Sofia leaned in, growing more surprised the more they looked.

"Now that you mention it... they really do look alike."

Antonio's brow furrowed as he stared at the photos. He had noticed the resemblance before and had planned to show Sarah, but had been interrupted and set it aside.

Now, everyone was saying the same thing.

Could Nia really be Eden?

The thought sent a jolt through him.

Sarah's eyes were red.

She looked at the photos of herself and the little girl in her arms, feeling a strange yet familiar sensation in her chest.

Timothy, standing a bit further away, glanced over and saw the striking resemblance.

"If everyone thinks so, we should find out the truth as soon as possible."

His voice was steady, the only one completely calm. "The priority now is to figure out where Nia came from."

Antonio snapped out of his thoughts at Timothy's words. "The Morrison family claimed she was adopted from a relative, but now... it all seems too coincidental."

About the same age, with a similar appearance.

And most importantly...

Bob's ulterior motives!

They hadn't noticed anything before because they were all too close to the situation, assuming Eden was gone.

So even if Nia seemed familiar, they wouldn't connect her to Eden.

They'd just think it was their subconscious playing tricks.

Sarah said nothing, but her trembling hands and red eyes spoke volumes about her emotions.

If...

If it were really possible...

She would be grateful to the heavens.

Antonio pulled her into his arms and kissed her hair. "Honey, I'll find out the truth. It won't take long, okay?"

Sofia, holding Ethan, also had red eyes. "No matter the outcome, Sarah, you need to take care of yourself first."

She had just recovered from postpartum depression. What if she couldn't handle this?

Though there was a good chance, hope and disappointment often coexisted.

"I'm fine."

Sarah clutched the photo, wiping her eyes. "Let's start by investigating Nia's background. It shouldn't be hard to find out if the Morrison family's relative had a child."

If it was a lie...

Then Nia's identity would be clear.

Antonio and Sofia exchanged a glance, surprised at how calm she was.

"Alright." He helped her up. "I'll have James look into it right away."

If Nia was really Eden, Bob, who orchestrated all this, deserved the worst!

After talking with the kids and calming them down, they all went into the villa. Antonio had just taken out his phone when James called.

"Mr. Valencia, there's trouble!"

Antonio glanced at Sarah, seeing her worried look, and put the call on speaker. "Go ahead, what happened?"

"The new project has issues. The raw materials have major issues, and the contractors are ready to withdraw. The project is at a standstill... I'm on my way there, but the partners insist on negotiating with you. What should we do?"

He knew Antonio was busy with Sarah, but the project was in chaos, and there was no other option!

The sudden situation left everyone speechless.

"The company's matters are more important."

Sarah took a deep breath. "James, stabilize the contractors. Mr. Valencia will be there soon."

She hung up and looked at Antonio. "You need to handle this personally. Brian is smart, but he's still a kid. They won't take him seriously."

Besides, Brian had his own company to manage.

Antonio stared at her, trying to see if she was forcing herself.

But she wasn't.

Sarah was calm and rational.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

She pushed him lightly. "Do you think I'm joking? I'm serious. The company needs you to handle this. It's not just our family's issue; many people are counting on you."
