Chapter 438 Escape If You Want to Live!
"What are you both so busy with? Planning a vow renewal ceremony, perhaps?"
"Of course not, we have an important matter to attend to."
Serene furrowed her brow. 'Could it be for a trip?'
'Didn't we already send Antonio the affair photos? How could he casually go on a trip with Sarah as if nothing happened?!'
"Ms. Jerrett, is there something else you need?" Sarah asked, due to Serene's lack of response.
Before Serene could respond, she quickly regained her composure.
"Oh, nothing. Actually, I envy you both. Have a great time, and don't worry about me."
Sarah felt a twinge of discomfort in response to Serene's words, but she didn't show it. After all, the situation with Victor was urgent, and she couldn't spare any attention for Serene.
"Take care of yourself and contact us if anything comes up. Goodbye."
After hanging up, Serene's face was filled with resentment.
'Did Antonio not demand an explanation from her? Or did Sarah manage to intercept everything?'
The more she thought about it, the angrier she became. She had just been saved from suicide, and these two still had the audacity to go out and have fun.
Something wasn't right with this situation. Serene decided to call the private detective she had contacted earlier.
"Have you sent the photos to Antonio?"
"Boss, I sent the photos a long time ago, just as you instructed. I even added antlers to his head in the picture, enough to provoke him."
Serene furrowed her brow. She couldn't believe that Antonio liked Sarah to such an extent.
Their relationship had already deteriorated due to Asa, not to mention they were already heading for divorce.
If Antonio found out that Sarah was involved with another man, he couldn't possibly remain indifferent.
There must be something missing in this chain of events.
Many thoughts raced through Serene's mind, but she couldn't find a rational explanation for it all.
"Boss, do you have any other instructions?" The private detective's voice brought her back to reality.
"Find out where they're going."
"No problem."
After hanging up, Serene still felt uneasy, as if she had overlooked something. She thought that the photos of Sarah's infidelity would strike the final blow, but it turned out to be a tempest in a teapot.
What was Antonio thinking? Why couldn't he let go of her?
Before long, the private detective called back. "Boss, I found their booked flight tickets. I sent the flight information to your phone."
After ending the call, Serene swiftly checked the flight details. Although three people were involved, her focus was fixed solely on Sarah and Antonio, disregarding Brian. To her, he was simply a minor annoyance, unworthy of her attention.
"They are actually going to Country T?" Serene frowned. "Isn't that where Victor escaped to?"
Serene promptly sent someone to Valencia Inc. to inquire. She discovered that Antonio and Sarah were celebrating an anniversary, so they had gone abroad together.
However, the alarm bells in Serene's mind didn't subside.
How coincidental could it be? With so many places to visit while traveling, they chose the very place where Victor was.
And what kind of place is Country T? How could anyone celebrate an anniversary there!
They must be going to track down Victor.
But there were no issues with the previous paternity test... How did they find out?
Serene couldn't dwell on that now and promptly dialed Victors number.

Meanwhile, Victor was still fast asleep, having been on a wild night that nearly took his life. He was currently meeting with the Sandman.
"Hello, who the hell is calling me? Damn it, are you looking to die? Don't you know that I was sleeping peacefully?" Victor grumbled as he answered the phone, not bothering to see who it was.
"You still have the nerve to sleep! Do you know that someone is about to catch up to your doorstep? Pack up your things and get the hell out of there!"
Serene's head was throbbing with anger. If she had known that he would be this useless, she wouldn't have even bothered to find him.
"Who the fuck are you? How dare you talk to me like that?"
Victor sat up from his bed, fuming, and started cursing into the phone without even seeing who was on the other end.
Serene clenched her teeth and tried to control her anger. "Victor, listen carefully. Antonio and Sarah are on their way to Country T. They are already on the plane, and they know about your fake identity. They are going there to hold you accountable! If you don't want to die, you better get as far as possible, right now!"
