Chapter 130 Antonio and Ethan Face Off
Leaving the hospital, Sarah mulled things over for a sec and finally decided to take the kids to the hotel where Alex was crashing.
She spilled the beans to Alex about everything that went down today, then added with a worried look, "Now even Ethan's on Antonio's radar. Getting outta here just got a whole lot trickier. But hey, at least the paternity test didn't raise any red flags. Antonio's totally convinced the kids are mine with some other dude."
Otherwise, who knew how this mess would unfold.
With a guy like Antonio, you never know what kinda crazy stuff he might pull.
Sarah's eyes filled with tears, but deep down, she was rock solid. She clenched her teeth and said, "Locking up Ethan? That's a line he shouldn't have crossed. And Philip? No way I'm letting them hurt the kids again."
Alex looked at Sarah, his heart aching and a bit scared.
He'd heard all about Philip's nasty temper and saw it firsthand at the banquet. But hitting kids? That was a new low.
Luckily, Ethan and Harper were okay.
Antonio's mood swings were wild, and Philip had it out for Sarah and her kids. Alex knew he had to step up and keep them safe.
Thinking this, Alex gently put a hand on Sarah's shoulder and said softly, "Sarah, don't stress. You and the kids can crash in the room next door for now. We'll figure out how to deal with Antonio later."
That afternoon, as soon as Antonio left the hospital, he barked at James, "Find Sarah. Now."
His gut told him she was planning another escape, and he wasn't gonna let that happen.
James felt the pressure, swallowed hard, and got to work, making a call.
Waiting for his guys to report back was torture. Seeing Antonio getting more impatient by the second, James broke out in a cold sweat.
Finally, after what felt like forever, he got a reply. He checked it and froze, terror written all over his face.
"Mr. Valencia, Mrs. Valencia didn't go back to the villa." James glanced at Antonio's darkening face and continued, "She went to a hotel."
Antonio's eyes narrowed, and he asked coldly, "Which hotel?"
James wished he could vanish, his face pale as he stammered, "The Grand Horizon Hotel, room 2022."
Antonio had already had the hotel checked out when he met Alex from BrianTech Solutions Inc. Alex was in room 2021 at the Grand Horizon Hotel.
James felt the temperature drop, shivering as he took a step back. 'Oh man, Antonio's really pissed!'
Antonio's face was dark, his eyes blazing with a terrifying light, like just looking at him could send someone to hell.
Sarah was staying at the same hotel as Alex!
And it was right next to Alex's room!
Meanwhile, Sarah was leading the kids to room 2022.
Looking at the empty, quiet room, Sarah still felt uneasy. She shook her head and led the kids inside.
Suddenly, Sarah noticed something and hurried over, half-kneeling in front of Ethan. "Ethan, are you hurt? Why didn't you tell me?"
Earlier, she was so mad she didn't notice the scrape on Ethan's hand.
Sarah's face was full of guilt and worry. "Does it hurt?"
Ethan shook his head and tried to comfort her, "No, it doesn't hurt. Mommy, don't worry."
He had scraped it while climbing the water pipe to save Ethan.
It did hurt, but he didn't want to add to Sarah's stress.
But Ethan's words didn't ease Sarah's heartache. She quickly called the hotel front desk for a first aid kit and carefully applied medicine to Ethan.
Sarah held Ethan's tiny hand, applying ointment bit by bit, looking at the fresh red wound, her vision gradually blurring.
"Ethan, Harper, listen to me, never do such dangerous things again." Sarah's voice trembled with fear. If anything happened to them, she wouldn't be able to live.
Ethan nodded, while Harper, on the side, pouted and defended herself, "Mommy, I just wanted to save Ethan. I didn't expect Daddy to lock him up."
Before rushing over, she hadn't thought much, just wanted to save Ethan.
Who knew things would turn out this way?
Seeing Harper's aggrieved and pitiful look, Ethan felt heartache and couldn't help but explain, "Mommy, Ryan fainted on his own. We didn't hurt him."
Sarah held back her tears and smiled. "I believe you. I know you are the kindest. You wouldn't hurt anyone."
She tossed the cotton swab and stroked their heads, "Don't think about it anymore. Even if Antonio finds out about you, I will do my best to protect you."
Harper fell silent, her little eyes drifting to the window.
Harper thought to herself, 'How's Antonio doing now? Did Philip scold him again? Why hasn't Antonio come to find me yet?'
Ethan glanced at Harper and immediately guessed her thoughts. Taking advantage of Sarah going to the bathroom, he asked softly, "Harper, are you still not giving up?"
What had Antonio said to Harper to make her so confused?
Ethan's young but cold face showed helplessness. "Have you forgotten what happened to Mommy? And consider what went down after we got back to our homeland. In his heart, we are nothing. He has his own kid."
But Harper stayed silent, just sitting there looking miserable.
At that moment, the doorbell rang. She jumped up first, as if expecting something, and immediately ran to open the door.
When she opened the door, a tall and familiar figure stood at the entrance. Harper looked up at the person, her big eyes shining with extreme excitement.
Antonio finally came!
She knew Antonio wouldn't leave Sarah alone!
Harper was excited, and she directly hugged Antonio, saying, "You finally came!"
However, at that moment, Antonio's entire demeanor turned cold as he locked eyes with the equally unfriendly Ethan.
