Chapter 953 Who Is the Man in the Room?

Sarah glanced at the news headlines and couldn't help but laugh in disbelief. "These media folks are getting crazier by the day. They'll make up anything!"

She had no clue what those two were up to, but there was no way Antonio would be involved in something shady with another guy.

Mary, curious about Sarah's reaction, leaned over to take a look.

"What the...?"

Could they really have gone to one of those special bars?

Sarah, equally clueless, shook her head in exasperation. "Let's ask him about it later. This can't be true."

Despite her words, she quickly dialed Antonio's number, only to find his phone was off.

"Don't worry, they'll probably be back soon."

Sure enough, as they finished tidying up and came downstairs, they ran into Antonio just coming in from outside.

Unaware of the news, Antonio greeted them with a smile. "Morning, Sarah, Mary."

"Morning? Really?" Sarah snapped, seeing his disheveled appearance. "Mr. Valencia, you've really outdone yourself. Not only did you stay out all night, but now there are rumors about you and another man!"

"What?" Antonio was taken aback. "What rumors?"

"See for yourself!"

Antonio took the phone Sarah tossed at him and opened the entertainment news. The front page showed a photo of him and another man, seemingly in a compromising position on a rooftop.

Mary, seeing his shock, hesitated before asking softly, "Antonio, did you really take Timothy to a place like that?"

Antonio's temple throbbed at her tone. "Of course not! How could you even think that?"

Mary shrank back, her eyes clearly showing disbelief. It wasn't that she didn't trust him, but the blatant photo made her mind race with all sorts of scenarios.

Antonio, unsure how to explain, pulled Sarah aside. "Sarah, I need to talk to you."

Sarah shook off his hand, annoyed. "Just say it!"

"That man was Francis."

"What?"

Francis?

"Francis is still in a dangerous situation. He was in disguise in that photo, so we need to keep his whereabouts secret. I was with him last night."

Sarah couldn't help but get excited. She had been involved in Francis's plan from the start, and knowing he was safe made her happier than anyone.

Mary, standing by the door, watched their interaction, feeling a strange vibe. Could it be...

Did Antonio really take Timothy to find another man?

Her mind was a mess, and after a while, she decided to check things out for herself.

Sarah noticed her leaving but didn't stop her, knowing she was probably going to find Timothy. Her focus remained on Francis.

"If Francis is okay, why didn't he come back to see Ryan?"

"It's not the right time yet," Antonio said quietly, holding her hand. "Francis wants to make sure it's safe before he comes back to see the kids."

That made sense. After escaping Guadalupe's clutches, they had to ensure safety before reappearing. Guadalupe was a madman, after all.

Sarah nodded, relieved. "As long as he's okay. Once this is over, Francis will be fine."

"Yeah."

Antonio felt a weight lift off his shoulders and wrapped his arm around her waist.

"So, babe, you don't think I'm up to no good anymore, right? I only have eyes for you, not anyone else, especially not a guy."

Sarah hadn't really doubted him, but she huffed playfully. "Men always lie. Let's see if you can keep that up for a lifetime."

"As long as you know I only love you."

"Smooth talker."

They bantered a bit, and just as Antonio leaned in to kiss her, they heard a baby crying upstairs.

"Nia's awake."

Sarah pushed him away and hurried to prepare a bottle, then went upstairs to soothe the baby.

Seeing Antonio follow, she didn't hesitate to give orders. "She'll need a diaper change after her bottle. Go grab a diaper and a changing pad."

Antonio watched her for a moment, holding the baby and feeding her, looking radiant and beautiful.

This was his wife.

Even if the baby wasn't theirs, it didn't matter. With Nia around, Sarah was stable and happy, seemingly healed from the loss of Eden.

That was enough.

He shouldn't dwell on the past. As long as Sarah's heart was with him, it was all that mattered.

Sarah, noticing his inaction, raised an eyebrow. "Why aren't you moving?"

Antonio's expression softened, and he kissed her forehead. "Alright, I'm on it."

The atmosphere at home was harmonious, but Mary, who had just arrived at the hotel, was a bundle of nerves.

The housekeeper had reserved a room with a single bed—clearly intended for Mary and Timothy.

She had slept with Sarah last night, but Timothy...

He wouldn't have brought a party boy here, would he?

Mary's mind was racing, almost in tears. She had seen Sarah and Antonio nearly argue and didn't dare ask.

Taking a deep breath, she mustered the courage to take the elevator upstairs.

But at the door, she hesitated.

What if it was true?

Or if it was a misunderstanding, wouldn't it be awkward?

Mary was torn, unable to decide, when she heard a deep, magnetic voice from inside. "Timothy, come here..."

She froze, blood running cold.

Timothy really brought a man back!

A voice in her head told her to leave, but her feet felt rooted to the spot.

Before she could gather her thoughts, the door opened, revealing a handsome man in a partially unbuttoned shirt.

He looked just as surprised to see her.

"Who are you looking for?"

Who...

She was supposed to be looking for her husband, but now, it seemed inappropriate.

Mary's throat went dry as she stared at the man, barely dressed, and wondered why she had come to interrupt Timothy's... activities.

"Sorry, I..."

Before she could finish, Timothy, in a bathrobe, appeared behind him.

Wasn't his expression full of unfulfilled desires?
