"Don't tell me you're just friends. I've never believed that you would accept such a generous gift from a regular friend. Give me a convincing reason."
Sarah sighed.
"I said we're friends, but you don't believe it. You insist on me explaining the details of our relationship, but we don't have any details of that sort. I don't have much to say," she replied. "I can assure you that between Allen and me... there isn't any of the kind of affection you're worried about."
"If nothing is happening, why won't you let me meet him?"
Upon hearing Antonio's words, Sarah felt a twinge of sadness.

"Antonio, do you believe that I have an illicit relationship with Allen, which is why you've been kept in the dark until now?"
She might have taken it as a playful aspect of life if Antonio had only asked out of jealousy. However, if he persistently believed that she must be sneaking around with other men behind his back, then it went beyond mere emotions and became a matter of principle.
Antonio took a deep breath and placed his hands on Sarah's shoulders. "Sarah, listen to me.
"I have never doubted you, not once. I believe every word you say.
"But believing in you doesn't mean I feel secure. I see you accepting gifts from others and enjoying lively conversations with others, but you've never been like that with me. How can I accept that?
"I admit, I am very possessive when it comes to your questions, not allowing any room for differences. I want to hold you tightly in my hands. But I am willing to believe in you."
Sarah remained silent for a long time. Now she finally understood the problem between them.
"Antonio, this is the disagreement between us."
Sarah wiped away a tear that hadn't fallen. "I am an individual. I have my own life, social circle, and judgment of people around me.
"You don't allow any differences, and you want to keep me tightly in your grasp. That indirectly means you have no trust in my abilities.
"If you want to constantly control my life, my social interactions, my feelings towards others, then we have nothing to talk about."
Sarah's attitude was firm, and her gaze grew resolute. "If you don't make any changes and continue to hold onto this mindset, there's no reason for us to continue."
Once again, this conversation ended in failure.
This was not the outcome Antonio wanted. He believed in Sarah and in his own instincts as a man.
'This Allen must be very important to Sarah. Otherwise, she wouldn't defend him like this. How much space does he occupy in her heart?!'
The two of them faced each other in silence, and the atmosphere became subtle and tense.
At this moment, Serene walked in suddenly and said, "Antonio, I..."
Upon seeing Sarah with red eyes, Antonio's expression also turned very unfriendly.
