Chapter 492 Just Kill Me!
Antonio couldn't help but grind his molars. In Sarah's eyes, he was despicable, utterly despicable!
When Sarah first mentioned taking Brady abroad for treatment, Antonio had fervently reached out to specialists overseas, ready to act as soon as Sarah was committed.
Yet, Sarah somehow saw this as him using her brother's life as leverage against her!
Was it true that no matter what he did, Sarah would always interpret his actions with the worst possible motive?
Was it because he was framed by Serene, leading Sarah to misinterpret him as a cheater, that he was doomed never to earn Sarah's love again, only her hatred?
Overwhelmed by a bottomless despair, madness began to gnaw at Antonio, urging him to want to destroy everything.
He got into the car and locked the doors, staring straight ahead, not daring to look at Sarah again. He was afraid his impulses would overpower his reason and lead him to do something he'd regret for the rest of his life.
The steering wheel creaked under the tight grip of his hands, betraying the tumult within.
Sarah tugged desperately at the door handle, shouting, "Antonio, you monster! I'll never forgive you, not in this lifetime!"
However, her hoarse cries did little to shake Antonio.
Exhausted, Sarah looked at Antonio through her tears, which were silently streaming down her cheeks.
In the next second, she raised her purse and swung it at him.
"Antonio, I hate you; I really do..."
Antonio quickly seized Sarah's wrist; his eyes half-closed and unreadable.
His voice, however, was bone-chillingly cold.
"Haven't you always hated me? Haven't you always wanted to leave me? Haven't you always treated me like someone you could just abandon at any minute?"
Sarah clenched her teeth in anger.
This side of Antonio was so alien to her, unrecognizable from the man she had loved deeply for so many years.
It wasn't that she wanted to abandon Antonio; she just couldn't bear living under his thumb forever.
What she sought was a love that was free and equal, pure and untarnished.
But Antonio, with his paranoia, his arrogance, his forcefulness, his betrayals...
How could all of these traits ever add up to love?
"Yes, Antonio, I do hate you. I do want to leave you. I want to leave this place forever and never see you again!"
Antonio's mind echoed with Sarah's words as his rage overtook his senses.
Bending over, he grasped the back of Sarah's head firmly and forcefully planted an uncompromising kiss.
Struggling with all her might, Sarah bit down on Antonio's lip, and the taste of blood filled the crevices between her teeth.
But Antonio was undeterred; he pinned Sarah beneath him, completely indifferent to her struggles.
Smack!
Sarah slapped Antonio across the face, leaving fresh, red prints on his cold expression.
With that slap, it felt as though her nerves had shattered.
Her eyes were red, lips crimsoned and bleeding from Antonio's roughness.
Antonio calmed slightly, still gripping her shoulders, he desperately questioned her, "Sarah, what do I have to do to make you stay by my side?"
A tear slid down Sarah's cheek as she stared defiantly at the man before her, biting back, "Impossible. What do you want to do, kill me? Go ahead, try!"
Antonio's hands slowly slid from her shoulders.
Repeating her words, his voice took on an eerie calm.
"So, you'd rather die than stay with me..."
A chuckle escaped him. "Kill you? I could never bear it. I'd rather die myself..."
His muttering was soft, his face obscured, but Sarah instinctively shivered, leaning back against the cold car door, intimidated by this version of Antonio.
"Antonio, what are you planning to do?"
"Nothing," He replied with a cold laugh and slowly started the car.
The rumbling of the engine mixed with Antonio's chilling voice reached Sarah's ears.
"Sarah, you said you'd rather die than be with me."
Antonio chuckled, "But even in death, I will never allow you to disappear from my side... I'm just that selfish!"
With that, he floored the gas pedal, the car speeding ever faster.
He stared ahead; his eyes tinged with a blood-red hue.
"If that's how it is, then maybe it's better if we die together!"
In a state of terror, Sarah shrank into her seat, clutching the seatbelt with a vice-like grip.
She realized she couldn't utter a single word as tears continued to unconsciously stream from her wide-open eyes.
As the car's speed relentlessly increased, she felt suffocated by waves of panic.
The two of them remained silent throughout the journey.
Antonio drove like a madman, and only after what seemed like an eternity did he finally stop the car.
Sarah was curled up in her seat, utterly disinterested in where they might be.
Until Antonio yanked her out of the car.
"Sarah, look! I want you to really look at this!"
A wave of nausea churned in her stomach, leaving her on the verge of fainting.
Steadying her nerves and suppressing the tumultuous sickness, she finally recognized the place—
