Chapter 903 What Should He Do?

Antonio's expression froze, "Sarah, what's wrong?!"

"How dare you show up in front of me!" Sarah felt her mind was a chaotic mess, unable to make sense of anything. The more she tried to think, the more her head felt like it was splitting.

But when she opened her eyes and saw the ward, she thought she must have just given birth to the triplets.

But hadn't she escaped abroad after surviving a car accident? Why would Antonio follow her here? Antonio should have thought she was dead!

"Antonio, isn't it enough that you've hurt me like this? What do you want?"

Antonio was completely baffled. What was Sarah talking about?

Seeing Sarah's resentful and resistant expression, he felt a chill down his spine and finally realized something was very wrong!

Antonio's face turned grim, "Sarah, first tell me if you're feeling unwell anywhere."

"How I feel has nothing to do with you! Get out!" Her mind was filled with the thought that Antonio must not find out about the three children, or he would surely take them away!

Antonio gave a bitter smile, "With you here, where else can I go?"

Ignoring her physical discomfort, Sarah curled up into a ball, her eyes filled with fear and hatred. Trembling, she said, "Aren't you already with Lisa? She even had Ryan for you. Why won't you leave me alone? Why!"

Hadn't she already given up her place for them? And yet he had followed her abroad! Did he think one near-death experience wasn't enough for her? Did he hate her that much?

Antonio was deeply shocked. The more he listened to her, the deeper his frown became. He reached out to her, "Sarah."

"Don't touch me, ah!" A sharp pain shot through Sarah's mind, and she clutched her head with both hands.

Every word she spoke was filled with despair, "I'm begging you, please leave me alone, okay? Let's not interfere with each other's lives anymore."

Thinking about him and Lisa being intimate in a room, and the things they said, every word felt like a needle piercing her heart!

"What if Sarah is also pregnant?"

"Abort it."

Antonio quickly stepped back, "I... I won't touch you. Just calm down, okay?"

"Stop crying. If you don't want to see me, I can leave, but let the doctor check on you first, okay?" Antonio's heart sank to the bottom, a terrible suspicion forming.

Sarah seemed to have forgotten recent events and her memory had reverted to a few years ago.

Back then, they still misunderstood and hated each other.

Antonio's heart felt like it was being squeezed by a giant hand, ready to shatter at any moment.

Just then, the doctor and nurse arrived, quickly restraining Sarah and giving her a sedative to calm her down.

Antonio watched their actions intently, the veins on the back of his hand bulging.

After a while, he asked in a low voice, "Sarah is experiencing memory confusion."

The doctor sighed, "Her postpartum hormones are already unstable. Mrs. Valencia has been through a huge shock, so her brain may be in chaos. Don't worry, we'll conduct further examinations."

"Mr. Valencia, could you please describe what happened when she woke up?"

Antonio looked at the now unconscious Sarah, suppressing all his emotions. He took a tissue and gently wiped the sweat from her forehead, then described the situation in a low voice.

Afterward, he and the doctor wheeled Sarah to the examination room.

Over an hour later, when Sofia arrived with the children, Sarah had just woken up.

The human brain was truly amazing. Sarah had been so traumatized that she selectively forgot about Eden's disappearance, and along with it, forgot about reconciling with Antonio.

The current Sarah still lived six years in the past, but seeing the lively three children, she didn't sense anything wrong, only knowing they were her beloved kids.

But when she saw Antonio entering the ward, she instantly bristled, "Sofia, get him out! If he doesn't leave, call the cops!"

Sofia and the three children stood frozen, not daring to move.

Antonio gave a helpless smile, his legs rooted to the spot, "Sarah."

"Don't call me!" Sarah shielded the children behind her, her voice trembling with a hint of fear, "Antonio, I haven't held you accountable for what happened with Lisa, so please don't disturb our lives! The children are mine! They have nothing to do with you! Please leave!"

He had been so adamant about not wanting her children before; who knew what he might do now?

What if he hurt her children for Lisa's sake?

Sofia quickly gave Antonio a look, pretending to chase him away. "Sarah doesn't want to see you. Leave!"

Antonio's eyes darkened, the pain in them unmistakable. He turned and walked out of the ward with heavy steps.

Sarah felt a huge sense of relief, still shaken, "From now on, if you see him, avoid him. Don't be tricked by anything he says, understand?"

The children didn't fully understand but could tell something was very wrong with Sarah. To avoid upsetting her further, they nodded in agreement.

Sofia watched this scene, suddenly feeling a pang of sympathy for Antonio.

Sarah had been in a coma and lost Eden.

Now that Sarah had finally woken up, her memory was messed up, and she stood against him with the children. Antonio was indeed in a tough spot.

Sofia sighed, also feeling sorry for Sarah.

If not for the devastating loss of Eden, Sarah wouldn't have ended up like this.

"Sarah, you stay with the kids. I need to use the restroom." Sofia said.

Sarah cautiously glanced at the door and nodded, "Okay, but be careful of Antonio. He's become so bad now that he's with Lisa!"

At the door, Sofia saw Antonio leaning against the wall, eyes closed, looking lifeless.

"Antonio." She spoke heavily, "Sarah will get better."

Antonio's Adam's apple bobbed, his voice strained with pain, "Mm."

Sofia didn't know what else to say to comfort him, feeling that nothing would help. "Let's go. The results should be out. I'll go with you to hear what the doctor says."

Antonio opened his eyes, the weight of the world in his deep gaze.

In the office, the doctor looked at the scans for a long time before sighing heavily. "Mr. Valencia, from the examination, Mrs. Valencia's body has mostly recovered, but her brain condition is not good. She is experiencing severe memory confusion due to the shock."

"This is quite common and usually temporary, but there's no particularly effective treatment. As long as it doesn't worsen, she should gradually get better over time."

"She can't take any more shocks now, or it will be very detrimental to her mental state. So, don't forcefully tell her the truth."

The doctor meant that if she were shocked again, she might become even more unstable.

For a moment, Antonio thought of Sarah's aunt, Cynthia.

She had lost her memory due to Harold's persecution and took decades to remember.

What if Sarah refused to acknowledge him for decades? What then?
