Chapter 946 Killing Demands a Life!

At that moment, Sarah and Bob rushed out.

Sarah was taken aback by the scene in front of her. "Antonio, what are you doing here?"

Sarah's eyes were fixed on him, not saying a word.

Bob's eyes flashed with a quick glint as he glanced at Antonio and then focused on the security guard. "What's going on here?!"

"Well... Mr. Harrington didn't have an invitation but insisted on coming in. The butler tried to stop him, and then Mr. Harrington got physical..."

The security guard, with his head down, quickly summarized the situation.

The people around started murmuring among themselves.

"Mr. Harrington actually came to the Morrison family and hit someone..."

"Yeah... isn't that a bit too arrogant?"

"Even if it was urgent, there's no need to trouble a butler. What if someone got seriously hurt... We're all witnesses here. We should call the police before we get dragged into this..."

No one knew the complicated history between Antonio and Benjamin, and Bob was happy to keep it that way.

Bob observed their reactions with satisfaction, though he kept a stern face as he looked at the silent man. "Benjamin, don't you think you owe me an explanation for this?!"

Antonio's face was dark, veins bulging on the back of his hand.

Before he could speak, the security guard's anxious voice came again. "Mr. Morrison! The butler has lost consciousness. We should get him to the hospital right away!"

Bob shot Antonio a harsh look before going to check on the butler.

Sarah stood there in a daze, the voices around her blending into a blur. Her mind was blank for a long time.

Did Antonio really hit someone?

No, no... that was not the most important thing right now.

"Antonio, don't just stand there! Let's go check on him!"

She grabbed Antonio's hand and started pulling him outside, not noticing his sharp, cold gaze.

"Why did you have to be so impulsive? What if something really happens to the butler..."

Antonio couldn't take it anymore and interrupted, "Enough!"

"Sarah, you went behind my back, went home with another man, played godmother, and attended a party. And you think I shouldn't have barged in and interrupted your fun?!"

Sarah was taken aback. "I... I didn't expect Bob to cause so much trouble. You have every right to be upset, but I did call you. You didn't answer, and I also texted you! Didn't you see it?"

Antonio paused.

A message?

He quickly pulled out his phone and saw Sarah's unread messages.

There was no signal at the kindergarten, and after hearing the parents' discussions at the gate, he was too furious to check his phone.

Antonio felt his forehead throbbing, took several deep breaths, and then said hoarsely, "I'm sorry, Sarah... I shouldn't have yelled at you."

He had been blinded by his fury.

"And about the butler..."

Antonio recalled the scene earlier, his expression turning grim. "I just pushed him away. I didn't hit him. Don't worry, he should be fine."

Sarah sighed. "Let's go check on him first."

They walked out together, and the nanny came running up, holding a crying Nia.

"Mr. Bob Morrison! Ms. Nia Morrison is crying again! I can't calm her down..."

Bob took the child with a serious expression. "It's fine, bring her along. Nia can't be left alone."

Sarah glanced at Nia but said nothing. Antonio was still angry but knew he shouldn't take it out on Nia, so he kept quiet.

At the hospital, the butler was rushed into the emergency room, and his wife arrived, crying uncontrollably.

"How could it be this serious?! What will I do if he doesn't wake up?!"

Bob half-embraced the butler's wife, looking very concerned.

"Kaia, Fox will be fine. Don't worry."

"Okay..." Kaia sobbed, "Mr. Morrison, who did this to Fox? You have to get justice for us!"

Sarah was very nervous, instinctively glancing at Antonio and pulling him over.

"How is he?"

"Sarah..." Bob started, but his expression turned cold when he saw Antonio beside her. He stared at Antonio and said seriously, "Fox hasn't woken up yet. The doctor said his condition isn't good and he might have severe aftereffects."

"Mr. Harrington... are you satisfied now?"

As soon as he finished speaking, the crying woman pointed a trembling finger at Antonio.

"It was you, right?"

"You did this to my husband!"

"Don't think you can get away with it just because you have money! I won't let you off! I'll sue you for attempted murder!"

Her voice was loud and tearful.

Many people gathered around to watch.

Antonio showed no reaction to her words, his cold gaze fixed on Bob, as if invisible sparks were flying in the air.

Sarah was frantic, tugging at his sleeve and apologizing.

"...He didn't mean it. Don't worry, Fox will be fine. We'll take responsibility..."

"Responsibility? Can you afford it?!" Kaia's face turned red. "An eye for an eye! I want him in jail!"

Antonio pulled Sarah behind him, frowning. "I didn't hit an old man. He fell on his own."

"You... how dare you! You hit him and now you're acting all righteous! I won't let this go!"

"I'm sorry..."

Sarah's head was about to explode. She knew Antonio wasn't the type to hit someone, but she kept apologizing, "No matter how Fox fell, we'll cover all the costs... Can you..."

Before she could finish, the approaching police officers made her choke on her words.

"Mr. Harrington, someone reported you for assault. Please come with us to clarify the situation."

"How could it be assault... this is a misunderstanding!" Sarah was desperate, turning to Kaia to apologize again. "Kaia, he really didn't mean it... Can we wait until Fox wakes up and clears things up?"

If he was taken away now, what if he was detained?

He wasn't fully recovered yet. How could he handle it?

"Sarah, I'll be fine."

Antonio's anger had turned into guilt and concern. "Don't worry, I'm just going to explain. I didn't hit him. Trust me, okay?"

"But..."

"Alright." He gave Bob a cold look. "Go home, take care of yourself and the kids, and stay away from certain people with bad intentions. I'll be back."

With that, Sarah watched as he left with the police, her mind in turmoil.

How did it come to this?

Bob saw her distressed state and gave Kaia a subtle look before stepping forward.

"Sarah... are you okay?"

Okay? How could she be okay!

"Bob, can you talk to Kaia?"

Sarah ran a hand through her hair, her voice filled with frustration. "This has to be a misunderstanding. He wouldn't hurt Fox!"

Bob heard her firm tone, a shadow passing through his eyes.

Even though he had orchestrated all this.

But Sarah... she just blindly trusted Antonio?

Antonio had lied to her about so many things before!
