Chapter 112 She Must Not Be Allowed to Leave
Without thinking twice, Ethan turned and bolted quickly,.
Meanwhile, Antonio was hauling it to the airport, making a beeline for the boarding gate.
Outta nowhere, in the middle of the crowd, something caught his eye. He squinted and thought he saw Ethan.
But that little dude was slick, weaving through the crowd and vanishing in no time. Antonio's eyes narrowed, a spark of curiosity lighting up.
But right now, finding Sarah was top priority!
Antonio turned towards the gate and bam, there was Sarah in black, with Brady and Alex flanking her.
His fist clenched at his side. So, they were planning to bail together!
On the flip side, Sarah noticed the clock ticking, but Ethan was still MIA. She started to worry and thought about checking the restroom.
She barely took a few steps when someone yanked her wrist hard.
Antonio stood there, fuming, his voice icy. "Where do you think you're going?"
Sarah stumbled, her wrist throbbing. She looked up to see Antonio's tense face.
What the hell was he doing at the airport?
Her anger flared, especially since he reeked of booze, which she found totally gross.
She shook off his hand and stepped back. "Antonio, what are you doing? Get a grip. Have some shame."
Those words only pissed Antonio off more. He stepped closer, his voice cold. "Sarah, don't think I don't know what you're up to. Planning to run off with Alex? Dream on!"
Sarah frowned, fed up with his bossy attitude.
How did Antonio even know she was here?
He must think she was trying to skip town.
Sarah didn't plan to and couldn't explain it to him. She just said coldly, "I'm not leaving."
Antonio found this laughable. "Still denying it? I've already found out."
His sharp gaze locked onto hers. "Alex bought three tickets: one for himself, one for Brady, and one for you, Sarah."
Sarah's heart skipped a beat.
Antonio was sharp enough to know Alex had bought three tickets.
If she kept denying it, there'd be no way to explain.
If Antonio got suspicious and kept digging, he might find out about Ethan.
Sarah had no choice but to admit through gritted teeth, "Yeah, I'm leaving. So what?"
She locked eyes with Antonio, matching his intensity. "I've told you long ago I want a divorce. But you keep clinging on, using dirty tricks to threaten me. I'm done being pushed around, so I've decided to leave! Anyway, you already have Lisa, and Philip's all for you two being together. Why keep being stubborn and making everyone miserable?"
Antonio felt a pang in his heart. Why wouldn't she stay with him?
Was Alex really that great, making her willing to leave Harper behind and run off with him?
A look of pain flashed in Antonio's eyes. He stepped forward, wanting to grab Sarah, but someone stopped him.
It was Alex!
He stood in front of Sarah, his voice cold. "Mr. Valencia, if you have something to say, say it properly. Don't use force."
Brady also walked over, his face changing when he saw Antonio. "Antonio, stay away from Sarah! Haven't you hurt her enough?"
Seeing this, Antonio let out a cold laugh. "What, you gonna stab me again?"
His cold, sharp gaze swept over Alex and Brady. They weren't worth his time.
The argument drew the attention of the crowd, who started whispering and staring.
Antonio couldn't care less about the gawking crowd. He shot them a cold warning, "Back off. This is between me and her. You butt in, and you'll regret it."
Brady wasn't backing down. He squared up to Antonio. "I'm not letting you hurt Sarah again!"
Five years ago, he couldn't protect her. This time, he wouldn't let Antonio lay a finger on her.
Antonio wasn't used to being challenged like this. His eyes flashed dangerously. "Brady, I let you off once. Don't expect a second chance."
But Brady was ready to go all in. "I know you've got money and power. You can ruin me easily. If you wanna throw me in jail, fine. I'll take the hit. But you can't hurt Sarah. You have no right to go near her again!"
The crowd grew, whispering and pointing.
Antonio's fierce gaze swept over them, making some back off. But others started to get bolder.
"He looks good, but he's a total jerk!"
"Yeah, just another rich bully throwing his weight around."
"Money doesn't make you special!"
The crowd's anger was rising, and they no longer feared Antonio's threats, pointing fingers at him one by one.
Every word fueled Antonio's rage. His icy stare locked onto Brady. "Fine, I'll grant your wish. I'll send you to jail, and then you'll see if you can really stand against me."
If they thought he was a bully, he'd show them what real bullying looked like.
Sarah panicked and jumped in front of Brady. "Antonio, are you nuts? If you touch Brady, I'll fight you to the death!"
Antonio sneered at her threat.
She'd betrayed him first, trying to run off with Alex and leave Harper behind.
If she just came back with him, he could let it slide.
But their words made him out to be the villain!
Antonio's eyes bore into Sarah's, filled with fire and hidden pain. "Sarah, in your eyes, what kind of person am I?"
His voice was laced with anger and disappointment.
Sarah, fed up, shot back, "A bully, unreasonable, despicable. Antonio, need I say more?"
She hadn't planned to blow up at him in public, but she didn't regret it.
Antonio had pushed her too far, and she was just speaking the truth!
Her constant compromises had only encouraged his behavior.
She had to break free from this man who only brought her pain!
Every word from Sarah was like a dagger to Antonio's heart.
Seeing the hatred and coldness in her eyes, Antonio's gaze turned icy. After a moment, his voice came out low and terrifying. "Even if I'm that kind of person, you'll be my wife for the rest of your life."
With that, Antonio stepped forward, grabbing Sarah's wrist, ready to drag her away.
Seeing this, Alex, usually calm, was now filled with rage. His eyes turned cold as he stepped in. "Sarah is no longer your wife. She won't go with you."
"Get out of my way!" Antonio, furious, clenched his fist and punched Alex.
He'd had enough of Alex!
His rationality was gone. He didn't care about the crowd. He had one thought: he couldn't let her leave!
Alex hadn't expected Antonio to attack, nor had he ever faced such brutality.
With the force of Antonio's punch, Alex was knocked to the ground.
