Chapter 243 If There Is Another Life, Reunite Again
"Do you think I'm a fool?" At one point, the man in black caught up with Sarah. His expression was terrifying as he advanced toward her, step by step.
Anger blazed in Antonio's eyes as he saw that the man intended to harm Sarah. "Don't touch her, or I swear I'll make sure you suffer!"
Despite being shot and weakened, his body on the verge of collapse, he instantly rose to his feet, shielding Sarah.
"Nobody is getting away from here!"
The man in black looked at Antonio disdainfully, showing no signs of being intimidated by his threats. Instead, he closed in on them.
Under his pressure, the two gradually retreated until they found themselves teetering at the edge of the cliff, realizing they had been pushed to the brink.
As they saw the dead end before them, Antonio knew that Sarah would never be safe if he died.
Antonio suddenly glanced at the cliff behind him, and a resolute determination flickered in his profound eyes. "Sarah, are you afraid?"
Sarah looked into his eyes, realizing what he might do, and bit her lip tightly. "I'm not afraid. As long as I'm with you, I'm not afraid of anything."
She held Antonio tightly. If today they were destined to die, then why not fight wholeheartedly, no matter what!
"Sarah, hold on to me," he whispered to Sarah by his side.
He then embraced her and stepped back into the void behind them!
Sarah closed her eyes tightly, feeling her body losing control and continuously falling. Her heart tightened with despair, and she huddled tightly in Antonio's arms.
The howling wind in her ears reminded her that she was still descending, and the pressure on her head made her breath shallow. Her consciousness was gradually fading away.
'Is this the end for us?
'Antonio got hurt just to save me…
'If there is another life, can we start over again?'
She would be braver, and they would never miss each other for such a long time. They were deeply in love with each other!
The wind swept away the moisture on her face and took away her last shred of awareness...
Above the cliff, the man in black coldly glanced at the two figures who had jumped off.
Falling from such a high cliff undoubtedly ment certain death, which conveniently saved him from taking action.
The man in black took out his phone. "Hello, the task has been completed. Remember to wire my money on time..."
"It's really completed? Don't worry, as long as you didn't leave a trace, I won't deduct a single cent from the agreed-upon commission."
A familiar voice came from the other side. If Antonio were here at this moment, he would be able to recognize the voice and identify the speaker as...
His grandfather, Lucien!
"Don't worry, the two of them jumped off the cliff directly. There's no way they could survive at this height. I hope you fulfill your end of the deal as promised."
Upon hearing that the task had indeed been completed, and with no chance of survival left for the two, Mr. Valencia Sr's hanging heart finally found peace.
“Pay what you owe me!”
"You just wait. You'll receive it soon. I won't break my promise."
...
After ending the call at the Valencia family mansion, Mr. Valencia Sr's eerie eyes regained some clarity, appearing to be in a good mood.
Noticing this, the butler cautiously asked, “Sir, what is it?”
"Well, everything has been handled, but..."
As he spoke, Mr. Valencia Sr furrowed his brows, seemingly thinking of something unpleasant.
“Hasn’t everything been resolved? Why do you still appear worried?” the butler asked with great confusion.
Mr. Valencia Sr tapped his cane, and his expression turned dark once again.
“Even though they are no longer here, they…"
"You mean those two children?"
At the Valencia family villa…
It had been over a day since Sarah and Antonio left on a business trip, and the kids hadn't seen their parents.
The weather was scorching hot, and usually Sarah would make them juice, but now the refrigerator was empty.
Helplessly, Harper went to get water from the dispenser herself.
Just as she picked up the cup to bring it to the sofa, her hand suddenly trembled, and her heart tightened.
The cup fell to the ground, shattering into pieces, a distressing sight.
For some unknown reason, Harper suddenly had a very bad premonition, and her eyelids kept twitching as if something really terrible had happened.
Ethan was also shaken by this sudden turn of events, feeling somewhat uneasy.
Harper grew more and more panicked. "Mommy, I miss Mommy, Ethan."
She couldn't hold back her tears, and an inexplicable fear consumed her chest. Ethan quickly hugged his little sister.
"It's okay, Harper. I'll call Mommy right away. Don't be afraid, I'm here too."
The young Ethan transformed into a reliable older brother, even though he himself felt a strange and unsettling anxiety. Under Harper's teary gaze, Ethan calmly called Sarah.
But no one picked up on the other end.
Now, Ethan and Harper exchanged a glance and immediately sensed that something was wrong!
Throughout their whole lives, Sarah would never miss their calls, not even when she was working. And they had made so many calls.
Just as their worry peaked over the sudden turn of events, a commotion erupted outside the villa. It sounded like a vehicle pulling up and someone conversing with the service staff.
Ethan quickly poked his head out of the window to cautiously observe the situation outside.
The person leading the group was someone they had seen at the old mansion before, someone who often stayed by Mr. Valencia Sr's side and was not a good person.
And now these same people had surrounded the entire villa!
Ethan furrowed his eyebrows, and his heart sank.
