Chapter 16 Antonio and Lisa's Child
Hearing that, Lisa's hand just froze mid-air!
She whipped her head towards the door, but nada.
"Where is he?" Lisa shot a look back at Sarah, who was still drenched in milk, with it dripping from her hair, looking all kinds of ridiculous.
Sarah almost lost it, trying not to laugh at Lisa's reaction.
Lisa's eyes went wide again, and she raised her hand. "Who do you think you are? How dare you lie to me!"
Sarah was totally grossed out by Lisa's screechy voice and her stuck-up attitude.
She's so full of herself, just like Antonio. They’re a match made in hell!
Just as she was about to dodge, the sound of a car came from outside the window.
Someone actually showed up!
Lisa and Lusa both had the same shocked look, totally not believing it.
Lusa was the first to snap out of it, sprinting to the window. When she saw the car downstairs, she gasped and started jumping around, "Lisa, Mr. Valencia really came! Do you think he found out?"
"Shut up!" Lisa snapped, then bolted back to her room to change clothes.
Sarah, still standing there, just pursed her lips.
Judging by their reactions, Sarah knew they were definitely feeling guilty. But there was no evidence she needed here, sticking around would only be risky.
Thinking this, Sarah quickly slipped out while no one was paying attention.
As she was heading down the stairs, she heard a servant greeting Antonio at the door.
He got here fast!
Sarah didn't want Antonio to notice her, so she immediately lowered her head and made a beeline for the door.
After all, her face was a projection now, and she was rocking a servant's uniform, Antonio wouldn't recognize her.
She tried to keep a low profile and quietly leave, but just as she brushed past Antonio, she heard his voice from behind. "Wait."
Antonio turned his head, looking at Sarah walking away, with a hint of curiosity in his eyes.
'This maid's face was unfamiliar, but her figure seemed familiar, very much like... that woman who resembled Sarah but was named Luna.' he thought.
Hearing this, Sarah suddenly stopped in her tracks, her whole body tensed up.
She clenched the hem of her clothes, her heart pounding. To avoid being exposed, she had to turn around and lower her head, waiting for Antonio's words.
Could he have recognized her?
If she got caught, it would be a disaster!
No way he could recognize her.
Just as she was thinking this, Antonio spoke again, "Take this to Ryan's room."
Huh? Who?
Sarah looked at the toy box Antonio handed over and took it after a moment of confusion.
At this moment, footsteps came from the stairs, followed by a child's voice full of surprise.
"Daddy, you're here!" A little boy in pajamas ran towards Antonio and hugged his leg.
So Antonio and Lisa's kid is raised here.
Sarah raised an eyebrow, looking at Ryan. He seemed a bit shorter than Brian, about five years old, but his face was a bit pale. Normally, kids this age should have rosy and glowing faces. Could it be that Ryan's health wasn't great?
But that was none of her business. She took another look at Ryan and thought, ‘Kid doesn't look like Antonio at all!'
Then she remembered Antonio's betrayal, gritted her teeth, and unconsciously squeezed the toy in her hand. She accidentally hit the switch, and the toy started making noise, its limbs flailing around!
Sarah was so startled she almost chucked the toy across the room.
Hearing the ruckus, Antonio turned his attention back to Sarah, frowning at her confused look with the toy.
At the same time, Lisa came downstairs in fresh clothes and saw the whole scene.
Why is it this maid again?
First, she spilled milk all over her, and now she was here drawing attention. Was she trying to seduce Antonio?
She glared at Sarah, disguised as a maid, wishing she could rush over and slap her a few times. How dare this trash think she could compete with her for Antonio?
Lisa barked, "You, go to the kitchen and prepare lunch!"
Sarah was looking for a chance to bail anyway. Seeing Lisa pointing at her, Sarah suddenly felt relieved and quickly headed to the kitchen.
However, Antonio's face stayed stern, his eyes following that familiar figure until Sarah disappeared from his sight, the curiosity in his eyes not fading.
Lisa noticed Antonio's gaze and felt even more resentful. Just as she was about to say something, Antonio turned to leave.
Seeing this, Lisa quickly put on a smile, trying to persuade him, "Antonio, stay for lunch."
Antonio didn't even turn his head and said, "I'm very busy."
Lisa knew her words carried no weight, so she quickly signaled Ryan with her eyes.
Ryan got the hint and immediately ran over to grab Antonio's big hand.
"Daddy, don't go, stay and have lunch with me, okay?" Ryan looked up at the tall Antonio, his big eyes blinking, soon filled with tears. "Dad, you hardly ever visit. Can you stay with me? I really miss you."
Ryan's real thought was: If Antonio didn't stay, he would be punished by Lisa again tonight.
Antonio's hand was suddenly caught by a pair of small hands, making him stop in his tracks and look down at Ryan.
He didn't want to stay here, but seeing Ryan's pitiful look, he softened. "Okay."
In the kitchen, Sarah was still looking for a chance to leave, but those people were still blocking the door. She couldn't leave now, so she kept working while observing the situation.
Thinking about that 'happy family of three,' she gritted her teeth in anger. 'Damn Antonio!'
'My kids had never had a father's love since birth, yet they lived so happily; it was truly unfair!'
The more Sarah thought about it, the angrier she got, almost ruining the food. Then she saw the pepper in the spice box, and her eyes lit up.
Antonio was allergic to pepper, so she could add more and make him suffer!
