Chapter 356 He had a feeling that he wasn't her father.
"Of course, you're my mommy. What's mine is yours. What's the problem?" Brian replied calmly.
This villa was supposed to be for Sarah, if not for Antonio's interference, he would have transferred ownership to her long ago.
"How can that be? This is your own house. I don't want your property," Sarah promptly refused.
This was something Brian had worked hard for. How could he just give it away?
Brian looked at Sarah seriously. "Mommy, do you know why I bought this house?"
Sarah was stunned, unsure how to answer.
"I wanted you to know that no matter what, you have a powerful backer behind you. No one can bully you, let alone some bad man.”
Brian was referring to Antonio but did not mention his name out of respect for Ryan.
After all, Ryan was the only one of the four with the surname Valencia, and he had the deepest connection with Antonio.
Sarah couldn't help but cry and laugh. Nonetheless, she was deeply moved.
"Alright, Mommy promises you." Sarah didn't refuse anymore. She knew Brian's temperament too well. If she kept refusing, this little guy would definitely get angry.
Brian acted quickly and immediately contacted a law firm to send a lawyer. The transfer of the property’s title deed was completed that afternoon.
…
Sarah lay in her own room, staring at the ceiling.
Now she had her own place to rest but couldn't help but feel happy in her heart.
After a while, Sarah took out her phone and called Valencia Inc.'s HR department.
"Hello, this is Sarah Miller. I want to request half a month's leave."
The company personnel didn't know what had happened, but since Antonio's wife personally called to request to take leave, they approved it without asking further questions. After all, who in their right mind would question their superior on why they wished to take leave?
…
The next day, Antonio arrived at the company early.
This was his only chance to see Sarah now.
When he checked his computer, he saw an email from Sarah, who had already taken her leave.
Antonio angrily rushed to the HR department. "Who allowed you to grant my wife's leave? Did you get my permission?"
The executive director was taken aback and looked at Antonio fearfully. "Mr. Valencia, didn't you say before that if she wants to take leave, she can take it without notifying you..."
Antonio nearly spat out blood. How could he have forgotten about this? He immediately pulled out his phone and called Sarah. Sarah was his assistant, and his CEO privileges allowed him to summon her back.
"I'm sorry, but the number you have dialed is temporarily unreachable..." It appeared that his call was automatically diverted to the voicemail.
Antonio repeatedly dialed the number but eventually confirmed that his phone number had been blocked.
Antonio let out a deep sigh. He didn't believe that he couldn't find Sarah!
He returned to his office and called his other assistant.
"Mr. Valencia, we checked the surveillance footage, but the taxi drove to the back street near the commercial area and turned into a small road.
"The surveillance cameras broke down not long ago, and there's no way to continue tracking their whereabouts," the assistant said, feeling very troubled as they looked at Antonio.
In this situation, even if they went to the traffic control department, they couldn't access the surveillance footage for him.
Antonio grew restless, pulling at his hair. His calls were blocked, the surveillance couldn't be found, and his location was being blocked. He felt like a headless fly, completely lost.
At Century Garden…Sarah was seated in the middle of the villa.
She lay in the backyard with her eyes closed, enjoying a level of service she had never experienced before. She had a facial mask on her face and a professional massage therapist giving her a massage. Two or three people were busy attending to her, and it was incredibly comfortable.
"Mommy, Brian has hired a three-star Michelin chef. The desserts he makes are delicious," Harper exclaimed in delight, running over with a half-eaten pastry in hand.
"But I still prefer the teppanyaki he cooks. I never knew Michelin chefs could make teppanyaki," Ryan chimed in, holding a plate of food. "Sarah, can you try it now?"
"Sorry, Mommy can't. Can't you see her mouth is sealed shut?" Ethan sighed and glanced at Ryan. "You should eat it now. It won't taste good later."
Ryan could only nod in agreement. "Sarah, I'll save some for you. Remember to eat it after your beauty treatment."
Brian, holding a tablet, had finished dealing with company matters. He had brought a few more people to tidy up the villa's interior and exterior.
Though the villa was already quite good, Brian wanted to provide his mommy with a perfect living condition.
Harper and Ryan played on the grass, occasionally calling out to Sarah. Ethan sat quietly by Sarah's side, playing with his abacus.
Meanwhile, Brian assigned the housekeepers various tasks while he remained seated in a boss chair. He radiated authority.
Even the beautician conducting Sarah's beauty treatment couldn't help but exclaim, "Ma'am, I have been to many wealthy homes, but you are truly the most worry-free person I have met. Your children are so well-behaved."
Sarah had removed her face mask and was receiving eye care. "Yes, sometimes they can be sensible. I sometimes feel like I'm the child."
Sarah wasn't lying about this. Which mother would let their children blatantly arrange everything for them?
"Mommy, I'll feed you something delicious." Harper ran over and fed a piece of cut fruit into Sarah's mouth.
"Harper, be careful. Mommy is lying down. She can't eat right now," Brian gently reminded her.
"I know, just this one piece. It's so delicious," Harper replied.
"Harper, come here quickly. This stone is really beautiful!" Ryan called from afar, and Harper ran off to join him.
Surrounded by the children's laughter, the hum of Ethan's calculations, and the soft clicks of Brian's computer keys, Sarah gradually felt the subtle emptiness in her heart replaced. This was the life she had longed for.
Meanwhile, Antonio could only sit in his office, burying himself in work. With his wife and children away from home, the house was just a place for him to sleep. It was far from being called a home. His mind was always detached, unable to regain its composure.
At this moment, the paternity testing center called, "Is this Mr. Valencia? Your urgent paternity test report is ready. Can you come and pick it up?"
Finally, Antonio snapped back to reality a little. "Alright, I'll come right now."
Antonio rushed to the paternity testing center and hastily opened the report. He had a feeling that Victor was definitely not Sarah's biological father.
