Chapter 962 Are You Moved?

This was like a godsend!

Isabella felt a surge of joy and, after a moment's hesitation, pulled over to ask.

"Mr. Stevens... I wanted to ask, is the house for rent here managed by your shop?"

The sudden voice made Francis's heart skip a beat.

He looked up in surprise, "Are you looking to rent a place?"

Roy had rented the entire building to make things easier, and there was indeed a vacant suite upstairs, which is why the rental information was posted.

He never expected that it would attract her.

This was practically a blessing from above.

Isabella had no idea what he was thinking, only feeling a bit awkward, but she sighed and briefly explained her situation.

"I just happened to see that you have a place for rent here, and it's close to my office, so I thought I'd ask."

"Yeah, there's a suite upstairs."

Francis lowered his gaze to adjust his cuff, masking his emotions perfectly, and said seriously, "But actually... I also live here. The place is a bit big, and it's just sitting empty, so I thought about finding a roommate."

If he could live with Isabella, he could find ways to make her fall for him.

"If you don't mind... I can definitely rent it to you."

"I don't mind!"

It's just a shared rental, right?

Besides, she was very busy with work and didn't think it would significantly affect their lives.

Isabella didn't think too much about it. After all, in the Capital City, sharing a place while working was quite normal.

She felt like she had solved a big problem and said happily, "Mr. Stevens, could you show me the place? If it's okay, I'd like to move in as soon as possible."

Francis didn't expect her to agree so quickly and was pleasantly surprised, "Of course."

Then they went upstairs to check out the suite together.

Although it looked like a model home, Isabella didn't think much of it, just feeling that Everett was very clean, as the place was as good as new.

Isabella smiled, "I'm very satisfied... Mr. Stevens, when would it be convenient for you? I need to move in this week if possible. Is that okay with you?"

"Of course!"

Francis responded instinctively, then realized he might have overreacted and cleared his throat, "You can move in whenever you want. If you need any help, just let me know."

"Great, then... please take care of me, Mr. Stevens."

Isabella's bright smile was like a ray of sunshine.

Francis felt a warmth in his chest, his Adam's apple bobbing.

"Take care."

Isabella was so happy about solving her problem that she didn't notice his unusual behavior. She checked the time and said, "I'll go pack my things now!"

They went downstairs together.

As soon as her car left, Francis called Roy, "Come pick me up right now and contact a moving company."

Roy was puzzled, "Mr. Valencia, who's moving?"

"Me."

He hadn't been living there, but since he had said he was, he needed to move in before Isabella.

After hanging up, Francis placed a hand over his chest.

His heart was pounding wildly.

He was about to live under the same roof as the woman he had been thinking about day and night.

Isabella didn't know that Everett had moved into the house overnight.

When she arrived with the moving company, Francis was there with the shop employees to help her.

What would have taken forever to organize was quickly put in order with everyone's help.

Isabella, holding a few books to place on the shelf, turned to see a young girl helping with her clothes and felt a bit embarrassed.

"Thanks, everyone, but it's almost done. You can go back to work. I'll handle the rest."

The shop employees had all come to help, which might affect their business...

The young girl glanced at Francis and then smiled and nodded.

"Okay, Ms. Moore. If you need anything else, just let us know."

If all went well, she could be Francis's future wife!

"Okay."

Isabella was genuinely grateful, "Once I'm settled, I'll treat you all to a meal. I don't know how long it would have taken without your help today."

They chatted a bit more before leaving in unison.

Suddenly, the house felt empty.

Francis walked over and asked, "Are you hungry? If you are, you can keep unpacking, and I'll make something simple for lunch. We can eat together."

"...Mr. Stevens, you can cook?"

She wondered if she was imposing too much. Everett was being an exceptionally diligent landlord.

But Everett looked serious, his handsome face showing no sign of anything unusual, "I can make some simple dishes. Since you just moved in, as your roommate, I should welcome you."

Isabella felt relieved, "Thank you."

Since they would be living under the same roof, there was no need to be too distant from each other.

But what surprised her was that Everett seemed less busy after she moved in, spending the whole day helping her organize, attentive yet respectful.

"Um... don't you need to be at the shop?"

Francis, trimming a bellflower, looked up and smiled, "Do you have a misconception about flower shop owners? There are plenty of employees at the shop. Why would I need to do everything myself? I can be quite lazy."

His joking tone made Isabella laugh.

"So, Mr. Stevens is more of a behind-the-scenes investor."

With that explanation, her burden lightened considerably, "But still, thank you. You've been a huge help today."

Francis shook his head with a smile, "No need to thank me."

In no time, he had finished trimming the flowers and placed them in a ceramic vase, instantly elevating the living room's ambiance.

Isabella's eyes lit up, "You have a great sense of aesthetics!"

Francis put the scissors back in the drawer and looked at her seriously, "Do you want to learn? Arranging flowers is quite simple. I can teach you."

He stood with his back to the window, the light outlining his tall figure, giving a sense of déjà vu.

Isabella's heart skipped a beat. She quickly tucked her hair behind her ear to cover her reaction.

"No need... I'm very busy with work and probably won't have time. You can handle it."

In the future.

That was a lovely word.

Francis's smile softened, "Alright, I'll take care of it."

And so, they lived under the same roof. Perhaps because they had known each other before, Isabella didn't feel awkward. Instead, she found more and more admirable qualities in Everett.

He was considerate, had great taste, and was very... handsome.

Realizing what she was thinking, she buried her head in the pillow in frustration.

...Isabella!

He was just a roommate! Get a grip!
