Chapter 727 The First Time Sleeping in Each Other's Arms
Antonio just stood there, not saying a word.
"Huh?"
Before he could even process what was happening, Sarah, with her baby bump, started feeling him up.
First, she yanked his hair, checking it out from every angle.
Not finding anything weird with his head, she moved on to his body, giving him a thorough once-over.
As her hands roamed, Antonio's desire kicked into overdrive.
He blurted out, "Sarah, what the heck are you looking for?"
Sarah ignored his awkwardness and kept pushing him down.
She pressed hard on his stomach, frowning, "Does it hurt here?"
Antonio, confused, grunted, "No, it doesn't hurt, but you're making me super uncomfortable."
Sarah studied his face, seeing he wasn't faking it.
She moved to another spot, asking again, "How about here? Does it hurt?"
Antonio craned his neck to see where she was pressing, feeling helpless as he tried to sit up. But seeing Sarah's serious face, he gave up and lay back down, saying, "Nope, doesn't hurt there either."
He wasn't in pain; it was just that her hands were turning him on, making it hard to keep his cool!
Sarah checked him all over but didn't find anything wrong.
She thought for a moment, staring at Antonio like she was trying to read his mind, but of course, she found nothing.
Frustrated, Sarah yelled, "Antonio!"
The shout jolted Antonio, and he sat up, asking, "What's up, Sarah?"
Seeing her eyes locked on him with that intense look, he sighed and said, "Sarah, if you have questions, just ask me straight up."
Sarah raised an eyebrow, saying, "If I ask, will you actually tell me?"
Antonio promised, "I'll tell you everything I know."
"Alright." Sarah crossed her arms, looking all serious, and asked, "Is there something you're not telling me? Like, are you sick or something?"
"Sick?" Antonio was caught off guard, not expecting that.
So, it was his hospital visit yesterday that had her worried?
He couldn't help but laugh, pulling Sarah into his arms.
Sarah pushed him away, saying, "Talk first, then hug!"
Antonio, feeling helpless, raised his hand and promised, "Sarah, I swear I'm not sick, definitely not dying. Please, don't worry!"
Seeing her still doubtful, he sighed and took her hand, confirming, "I'm really not lying to you. Do I look sick to you?"
As for the chip, that wasn't exactly an illness.
He didn't have a fix for it yet, and telling Sarah wouldn't help.
Sarah, half-believing, seriously studied his face for a long time. Apart from some dark circles under his eyes, he seemed pretty healthy.
"Alright then." She finally relaxed, saying, "As long as you're okay."
Antonio caressed her palm, feeling a long-lost sense of satisfaction and warmth.
Sarah didn't care what he was thinking. She frowned and reminded him, "Even if you're fine now, you can't slack off. You were seriously hurt before, and didn't you go for a follow-up yesterday?"
She added, "You gotta be more careful. No more late nights! And watch what you eat, you can't..."
Before she could finish, Antonio kissed her, his touch so gentle it felt like he wanted to become one with her.
His kisses got softer, moving to her brows and eyes.
He whispered in her ear, "Then you gotta sleep with me every night and eat every meal with me to keep an eye on me. Deal?"
Sarah's breath hitched. Nestled in his arms, she could only grip his arm tightly, her voice trembling. "Then... will you listen to me?"
"I will."
"Never leave me again."
"Okay."
She asked, he answered.
Their voices were low, like whispers, their breaths mingling, as if they wanted to merge into each other's world.
Antonio gently laid Sarah on the bed, lying beside her, just quietly watching her, feeling like his whole body was on fire.
Sarah sensed his restraint, and as she turned her head, she saw his chiseled abs, blushing as she playfully scolded, "If I had known, I should've made you put on clothes earlier."
Antonio found her adorable, his eyes full of affection, teasing, "Then you shouldn't wear anything either."
Sarah was about to speak when she was enveloped by his familiar scent, leaving only the sound of their breathing filling the room with tenderness.
This was the first time they were totally honest with each other, really opening up. Antonio couldn't control himself, their sweetness lasting until the evening.
He called for room service to bring up dinner.
He said, "Don't move, I'll feed you."
Sarah glanced at him, rejecting, "I'm not a cripple; I can eat by myself."
Though she said this, she couldn't help but smile, propping herself up.
The blanket slipped down, revealing skin covered in marks.
Antonio, seeing this, couldn't help but swallow hard.
He quickly looked away, his voice hoarse. "Weren't you just saying you were tired?"
Indeed, Sarah felt sore and achy with every movement, but it was still bearable. She insisted, her voice softer, her face heating up. "I can still eat by myself. You should be more restrained next time."
Antonio chuckled, reaching for a robe to help her put it on. "Alright, I'll try."
After dinner, the couple enjoyed a rare moment of leisure, watching a movie together before going to bed.
It was their first time sleeping in each other's arms in a long while.
Sarah couldn't remember the last time she had slept so comfortably.
The next morning, as she opened her eyes, the sunlight streamed in through the window, filling the room with a warm, dreamlike quality.
Meanwhile, Antonio's strong arms held her, surrounded by his familiar scent.
Sarah looked up, meeting his deep, unfathomable eyes.
"Sarah, good morning." His deep, pleasant voice sounded real in her ear, making her nose tingle with an inexplicable sense of unreality.
He was really back.
And he wouldn't leave again.
Sarah couldn't help but raise her hand, gently tracing his features, her cautious movements as if he might disappear in a blink.
She softly asked, "Antonio, you're real, right?"
