Chapter 607 Could I Call You Daddy

Benjamin tightened his grip on Ethan's hand and stood up, facing everyone with a calm expression. "Ms. Miller fell into the cave because of me, so I have an obligation to take care of her. Tonight, I will stay with her until she recovers."

Isabella stared in shock, "Benjamin!"

She wanted to object, but when she met the man's cold and firm gaze, she couldn't utter a word.

Yes, Isabella had never been able to change Benjamin's decisions.

Ethan, on the other hand, was secretly happy. What a pleasant surprise this was!

Daddy was personally taking care of Mommy, and she would surely be touched when she woke up!

With this, they would reconcile soon.

Benjamin had made up his mind. He stood up and looked at Isabella, who was still lost in thought, "Let's go. I'll walk you back to your room."

He walked ahead, his back broad and muscular. Isabella bit her lip and hurried to catch up with him.

Benjamin walked quickly, looking like he couldn't wait, as if there was something very important waiting for him to attend to. That important thing was taking care of Sarah, obviously more important than his fiancée, Isabella.

Isabella felt a surge of grievance in her heart. She couldn't bear it anymore and quickly took a few steps forward to stop Benjamin. "Benjamin!"

Benjamin stopped, his slightly furrowed brows showing some confusion. "What!"

His cold attitude almost made tears well up in Isabella's eyes. She reached out and held his hand, her voice trembling, "Can’t you look after her?"

Benjamin's brows twitched slightly. "She needs care, and as I said earlier, she fell because of me."

"But anyone else can look after her." Isabella took a deep breath, her voice thick with emotion, "You're supposed to be my fiancé. What woman could stand her man taking care of another woman so closely?"
Her words were sincere and heartfelt.

Benjamin let her hold his hand without moving, his deep brown eyes looking down at her.
Under this gaze, Isabella felt uncomfortable.

Her heartbeat accelerated, but she didn't regret what she had just said. It was all true!

Benjamin was her fiancé, and there was no reason for him to revolve around another woman.

Benjamin stared at her for a long time. Just when Isabella thought he was really angry, his voice was stern, "Isabella, do you love me?"

Isabella was suddenly stunned. This was the first time he had asked such a question.

Her face blushed slightly, and she shyly replied, "Of course I love you."

Whether the past was true or false, her feelings for him during this time were sincere and without any impurities.

Benjamin's eyes flickered slightly.

Isabella's heart skipped a beat. She didn't understand why Benjamin suddenly brought this up.

Did he remember something?

The blush on Isabella's face faded away, replaced by stiffness. Her gaze flickered uncertainly. "Benjamin, I don't understand what you're saying."

Benjamin noticed all her reactions.

If what they said was true, that they were indeed engaged and in love, how could he feel nothing for her?

And why would Isabella react like this?

His face remained impassive, his deep eyes seeming to know all the secrets, and he spoke calmly, " I just want to tell you that not everything can be glossed over with a few words. You should know I can't stand being lied to."

Isabella's heart raced for a moment, and she subconsciously shook her head. "Benjamin, I didn't!"

"You don't have to deny it so quickly." Benjamin's cold and stern voice interrupted her directly, "Think about it carefully before you speak."
Isabella's lips moved, wanting to deny it, but she felt unsure.

But she couldn't figure it out. Uncle Haroid had firmly said that Benjamin would never regain his memory!
Benjamin's cold eyes lingered on her for a moment, and he said in a cold tone, "You go rest first. After that, I have something important to tell you."

Isabella was unwilling, but she didn't dare say more.

After being shaken by Benjamin's words just now, she no longer had the confidence to hold onto the matter and had to reluctantly force out a smile, "Okay, good night. Take care of yourself. "

She finished speaking and turned around, walking towards her room in a daze.

As she walked, a very bad premonition inexplicably arose in Isabella's heart. She had thought through all the possibilities, but she couldn't guess what Benjamin had to say, or rather, each possibility was unbearable for her. As her heart grew more and more flustered, Isabella made up her mind. She had a feeling that if she continued to sit and wait like this, she would completely lose Benjamin!

Soon, Benjamin returned to Sarah's ward. James was standing by the bedside with Ethan. When he saw Benjamin, he instinctively stood up and said, "Mr. Harrington!"

He casually responded. "You go back and rest first; I'll stay here."

After saying this, Benjamin bent down and looked at Ethan, asking softly, "Do you want to go back to the room with Uncle James to sleep or stay here with Mommy?"

"I want to stay!" Ethan looked worriedly at the bed, "I want to stay with Mommy."

James looked at the two in front of him, both looking worriedly at Ms. Miller.

Who could say that the three people in this ward didn't harmonize like a family of three?

For some reason, James's eyes were a little moist, and he silently retreated.

Benjamin settled Ethan on the small sofa, then went to get cold water, repeatedly changing the towel on Sarah's forehead, wiping near her neck, and checking her temperature now and then.

Ethan couldn't help much, so he sat obediently on the side and asked softly, "Uncle Benjamin, is Mommy's fever getting any better?"

Benjamin put down the thermometer in his hand and also breathed a sigh of relief in his words.
" She should be better soon."

"That's great!" Ethan's shoulders relaxed. As long as Mommy's fever dropped, she should wake up soon! When she saw  Daddy waiting here, Mommy's mood would definitely improve!

He watched Daddy change the hot towel on Mommy's forehead again and suddenly had an ideal. "Uncle Benjamin."

Benjamin pressed the corner of the bed and turned his head to look at the little guy who looked dejected, " Don't worry too much; she's just sleeping now; she'll be fine soon."

He naturally attributed Ethan's reaction to his concern for Sarah.

Ethan shook his head. "I know. I just feel," the sadness in his big eyes couldn't be hidden, "Uncle Benjamin, you are very similar to my Dad. You take care of Mommy andare also very good to me. I really wish that you were my Daddy!"

The more Ethan spoke, the more uncontrollable he became. Pouting in distress, he cautiously probed, "Uncle Benjamin, can I call you Daddy?"
