Chapter 396 A Pair of Beauties, If You Please

"Wait for my message," Antonio declared, his voice echoing with authority.

He meandered through the thrumming casino, his eyes scanning the crowd for any sign of Sarah and the children. His heart pounded with the knowledge that a hasty intrusion could result in their swift relocation. Furthermore, any rash action could potentially incite the kidnappers, jeopardizing the entire operation.

"Stand by for my signal," he instructed, his tone firm, "and ensure all exits are secured."

"Rest assured, Mr. Valencia," James responded, his voice steady and reassuring.

At that moment, James had already initiated a lockdown of the Evergreen Chess Club, awaiting Antonio's next command.

Once the message was relayed, Antonio nonchalantly strolled out of the restroom, carelessly swinging the door open as he exited.

"The state of your facilities is deplorable," Antonio remarked, washing his hands with a grimace. "I had to flush the toilet myself. It's no wonder your establishment is struggling."

"Tell me, do you offer any entertaining games here?" he continued, his tone casual. "I'm not interested in the usual Pai Gow or dice. I seek something more... exhilarating."

He paused, a smirk playing on his lips. "In the past, I've always had the pleasure of the company of stunning women, their long legs a delightful distraction... Money, as you'll find, is not an issue for me."

The security guard finally conceded that the man before him was indeed a carefree scion of wealth. No ordinary individual could convincingly feign such an air of nonchalance.

"We run a respectable establishment here, sir," the guard retorted, attempting to maintain a professional demeanor.

"Don't jest," Antonio retorted, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Who doesn't see through your little charade? Playing games with a bunch of men is as dry as dust."

His smirk widened into a mischievous grin. "Playing cards while caressing a woman's leg—how can you, as a man, not comprehend the appeal?"

"Sir, it appears you've had quite the experiences," the security guard sneered, his tone dripping with sarcasm.

"I've frequented more casinos than you've seen women," Antonio retorted, his tone laced with disdain. "Now, do you have what I'm asking for or not? If not, bring me to the high-stakes table. I'll play a few rounds and be on my way."

Despite his belief that Antonio was nothing more than a wealthy dilettante, the security guard remained wary and did not immediately acquiesce.

"Perhaps you should play a few rounds first, sir," the guard suggested, his tone cautious.

Antonio was acutely aware that the private rooms were located on the second floor. However, gaining access was a formidable task, and the stakes there were significantly higher than those on the ground floor.

The security guard initially presented Antonio with a game of dice. Antonio triumphed in the first three rounds, only to lose all his chips in the end.

"Damn it! That was a mistake," Antonio cursed, his face contorting in frustration. "Hold on, let me make a call... Why on earth is there no signal in this godforsaken place?"

"We have a phone you can use," the security guard offered, extending his own device towards Antonio.

With an air of impatience, Antonio snatched the phone and dialed a series of numbers. "Transfer some funds to me. I don't care what you think I'm doing, just do as you're told."

With that, Antonio abruptly ended the call.

Remaining cautious, the security guard surreptitiously dialed the number back.

On the other end of the line, a voice responded respectfully, "Sir, the funds are being transferred. Will five million suffice?"

"More than enough," the security guard replied, a faint smile playing on his lips. A single phone call had procured five million. It appeared this man was indeed qualified to ascend to the second floor.

With a swift motion, Antonio brandished a bank card, his voice laced with impatience and frustration. "What in God's name is this place? Hurry up and verify if my funds have been transferred. If they're not there, someone's losing their job."

His countenance was etched with the unmistakable visage of defeat, anger seeping from every pore.

The security guard, dutifully taking the card, ran a quick check. Sure enough, the deposit had been made—five million, no less.

"Sir," he ventured, his tone noticeably more deferential, "didn't you mention wanting to indulge in some entertainment? Perhaps we could explore the premises?"

Antonio arched an eyebrow, a hint of intrigue in his gaze. "That does sound appealing. Lead the way."

Casually, he plucked a few high-value chips from the table and tossed them to the guard. "Should my luck hold, rest assured, your pockets won't be left wanting."

"Much obliged, Sir," the guard responded, a glint of gratitude in his eyes.

Following the guard, Antonio ascended to the second floor. The area was indeed impressive, each room heavily guarded with the unmistakable sounds of money changing hands echoing from within.

His eyes scanned the floor, settling on the room with the most security—the one tucked away in the innermost corner. Ignoring the guard's attempts at conversation, he made a beeline for the room.

His strides were swift, leaving the guard struggling to keep up. A burly man stationed at the door immediately blocked his path. "Who are you? This area is off-limits. Scram."

Antonio brushed him aside dismissively. "I'll damn well go where I please!"

The guard, having finally caught up, interjected, "Sir, our room is elsewhere."

"Then where in the blazes is it?!" Antonio's voice boomed, feigning anger.

His outburst was more than just a display of temper—it was a coded message meant for the occupants of the room. If Sarah and the children were indeed there, they would recognize his signal.

As if on cue, a loud noise erupted from within the sealed room. Antonio's heart skipped a beat. He was certain now—Sarah and the children were inside!

The burly man barked an order, "Get him out of here, now! If Brian finds out, you'll be in deep trouble."

The guard nodded, hastily ushering Antonio away.

No longer feeling the need to maintain his charade, Antonio quickly pulled out his phone and dialed James.

"Come in!"
