Chapter 655 I Won't Fall for Anyone Else Again
Alex stayed silent, his eyes glowing like a wolf's in the dim room.
"You're still glaring at me!"
Sofia's anger flared up, her chest heaving and face turning red. She dropped her bag and lunged at Alex, her fists landing on him, first lightly, then harder.
"Are you happy now?" All the frustration and anger Sofia had been holding in burst out.
She didn't just want to argue; she wanted to fight!
"It's all your fault! You bully me all day!"
Alex tried to grab her wrists but was surprised by Sofia's growing strength.
"Sofia! Stop it."
The living room lights were off, and hitting the furniture might get a bruise.
"Sofia! Watch out!" He was worried she'd hurt herself, so he tried to protect her. Sofia didn't listen, cursing and hitting him, tears streaming down her face.
Alex tripped when he think of how to calm her down, when he suddenly tripped.
He quickly gripped Sofia, and they both fell onto the couch.
Her nosehit his firm chest, feeling sore.
She didn't know if it was from pain or heartbreak .
She couldn't hold back her sadness anymore, and her tears fell onto Alex's face. "You misunderstood me, but to say such hurtful things, do you really think I wouldn't be upset?"
She could be upset too.
Alex had never seen Sofia cry like this, and for a moment, he was at a loss, his heart breaking.
"Sofia," he raised his hand to wipe her tears, but it seemed like he couldn't wipe them all away, making him feel a bit panicked, "I... I never meant to bully you."
He loved her too much to bully her.
Sofia lay on top of him, feeling the warmth of Alex's body.
She sniffled and pouted, "But you did bully me!"
She suddenly raised her head, staring into Alex's deep eyes, and said fiercely, "Since that's the case, I'll bully you back!"
With that, she lowered her head and bit his lip hard.
She didn't care anymore!
He could say whatever he wanted. It was almost midnight, and today was her birthday!
Using this unreasonable Alex as a birthday gift wasn't too much, right?
Leaving aside everything else, their intimacy was undeniably perfect.
Alex felt her passion, his eyes growing darker, and his arm around her waist tightening, until he suddenly flipped over, switching their positions.
Sofia lay on the couch, her tear-streaked cheeks still flushed.
"Sofia."
His voice was husky, almost a whisper.
Every breath she took was filled with a deadly allure, eroding his sanity bit by bit in the thick, ambiguous air. Until he could no longer control himself, he grabbed her lips fiercely.
Both of them shuddered simultaneously.
Sofia thought, just let it be.
She raised her hand, wrapping it around his neck.
This response made Alex's eyes burn even hotter. Unconsciously, he pulled her closer, his deep voice whispering in Sofia's ear. "Is this the kind of bullying you meant?"
Sofia's head rested on the sofa, shielded by Alex's hand.
She groaned and bit his ear.
"I'm the one bullying you!"
Alex listened to her fierce yet kitten-like voice, chuckling lowly.
Downstairs, Sarah waited with Brian for a while longer. When Sofia didn't come out in a rage, it meant there was hope!
She breathed a sigh of relief and took Brian home.
Brian found it unbelievable and only came to his senses after they got home.
"Mom, why does it feel like Alex and Sofia are completely different when they're together? Like they're two different people."
He had never seen Alex lose his temper before.
He always seemed like a very gentle person.
Sarah poured herself a glass of water, thinking for a moment before answering, "When you're with someone you like, you show a side that others don't see. When you grow up and meet someone you like, you'll understand."
Brian seemed to grasp it but took a moment before saying, "So, Daddy is your favorite person, right?"
"Of course, I only loved him."
"Will you ever like someone else?"
After all, Antonio was no longer around, and Sarah couldn't be unhappy every day. He wanted Sarah to be happy.
Sarah hesitated, unsure of what to say.
At that moment, the midnight news began, leading with a breaking story.
"The Harrington Group's CEO Benjamin and Vice President Isabella have suddenly moved their engagement ceremony up to next week! Industry insiders speculate that it might be because Ms. Moore is pregnant."
Sarah glanced at the screen calmly, answering, "I won't fall in love with anyone else."
