Chapter 630 They Have No Chance Anymore!

That was his father, Harold.

Benjamin's expression darkened as he sat up straight and instinctively picked up his phone to make a call.

He was almost certain that it was Harold.

Because Harold had asked about the acquisition progress several times before, seeming a bit anxious.

He wanted to ask Harold why he acted on his own.

At the very least, he should have informed Benjamin first, so he wouldn't be caught off guard like this.

But just as he dialed the number, Benjamin suddenly came to his senses and immediately hung up.

His mind was filled with the image of Sarah angrily scolding him earlier, and the look of disgust in her eyes when she left.

She even called him a scumbag.

It was the first time anyone had spoken to him like that.

It seemed that in Sarah's mind, he really meant nothing to her.

Benjamin took a couple of deep breaths, closed his eyes, leaned back in his chair, and his tightly clenched fingers slowly relaxed.

Since that was the case, there was nothing to ask.

Acquiring the Valencia family was part of his plan all along.

Since Sarah was convinced that it was him who did it, so be it.

Why bother making a fool of himself?

This was perfect because his purpose in coming to this city was just that, and acquiring her two companies was inevitable.

From now on, he really couldn't go soft on Sarah anymore!

Half an hour later, Isabella appeared outside the CEO's office, noticing everyone was very quiet.

She had heard that Sarah had come, so she had pushed aside her tasks to come and see what was happening.

But it seemed Sarah had already left.

So soon!

Isabella smiled gently and distributed the coffee she had brought, asking, "What's going on? Why is everyone so quiet?"

Only then did everyone tell Isabella about the big argument between Mr. Harrington and Ms. Miller in the office, and how Ms. Miller had stormed out.

Isabella's smile deepened.

It seemed they really had no chance of getting involved with one another anymore.

Finally, the day had come.

She could hardly contain her glee.

Meanwhile, Sarah had been sitting in her car for a long time.

Her leg injury was swollen and painful, but she had no time to care, feeling completely drained and slumped in the car.

Benjamin had made up his mind to go against the Valencia family, so Sarah found it hard to accept.

Sarah buried her face in the steering wheel, taking a while to regain her composure.

No matter what, she had no way out now and could only be strong.

Back at the company, James and Bob saw her despondent look and tactfully didn't ask anything.

Sarah, however, had no time to be sad. She called them into the office and said, "You two need to work together now. First, find the manager who was in charge of this project back then and have him prepare all the reporting materials."

James and Bob exchanged a glance and said in unison, "Got it."

"And," Sarah pondered for a moment before saying, "this matter must have been filed with the police back then. Go to the police station and try to get the detailed case records, including compensation records and family consent forms."

These things couldn't be faked, because the main purpose was to present them to the public.

For the rest of the afternoon, Sarah took numerous calls from partners, leaving her thirsty and frazzled.

But she couldn't stop them from thinking the Valencia family was done for, willing to pay breach penalties to cancel their contracts.

Just as she was feeling troubled, the receptionist knocked on her office door, saying, "Ms. Miller, someone is here to see you."

Sarah curiously asked, "Who?"

Before Sarah could finish her question, she looked up and saw Sofia behind the receptionist.

Her nose tingled, and she smiled, saying, "What brings you here?"

Sofia answered with concern, "You've got such a big issue, of course, I had to come."

Sofia walked over anxiously and said, "You never say anything. If I hadn't seen the news, I wouldn't have known you were going through such a tough time."

Sarah sniffled and said, "That's just how business is, it has its ups and downs. We'll get through it."

Seeing her trying to hold it together, Sofia felt heartbroken.

Sofia helplessly chided, "You haven't been eating properly, have you? Look at you, you've lost weight."

Sarah was still pregnant, and if she continued like this, her body wouldn't be able to take it.

Sofia sighed silently and took out a file folder she had brought, placing it on the table.

She suggested, "This is all the information my friend found about Asa. Take a look."

She hoped this information would make her feel a bit better.

But Sarah had no mind for Asa at the moment.

"Just leave it there for now," she said, feeling overwhelmed. "My priority right now is to solve the company's problems. Since Asa hasn't made any moves for a while, I'll deal with him when I have time."

Sofia wanted to help her and asked, "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Sarah shook her head, answering, "No."

"Because of this morning's scandal, several partners have already come to cancel their contracts." She sighed bitterly, "No matter what we do, it won't make much of a difference."

Anyone in business knows that once the partners start canceling contracts, the company's projects can't run smoothly. It won't be long before the cash flow breaks, and the entire enterprise will face a huge crisis.

The Valencia family group was large, with significant investments in its projects.

Unless they could quickly find a new investor willing to take on the risk to alleviate their financial burdens, the entire Valencia family would be in jeopardy.

"I just remembered!" Sofia suddenly had an idea and sat up excitedly, saying, "There's someone who might help us get through this crisis!"

Sarah looked puzzled and asked, "Who?"

Sofia excitedly asked, "Do you remember I told you about a marriage prospect I almost had?"

Seeing Sarah nod, Sofia said, "The Newman family has a very strong enterprise in the North. They have plenty of money! And they have no conflicting interests with us in the capital city. If they're willing to invest, not only will our cash flow be secured, but everything else will be too!"

Actually, Sofia was also from a noble family.

The Harris family was based in the North and had a large family business.

But with her personality, she couldn't stand being a tool for family development.

So, she secretly went to college and started her own business. Later, when Grandpa Harris saw she had really achieved something, he gradually stopped interfering.

Though he didn't interfere, he hadn't forgotten to introduce her to potential suitors.

That person was Virgil Newman, the young master of the Newman family.

Sarah felt uncertain and said, "But you didn't end up marrying him. They wouldn't invest in the Valencia family, would they?"

She had confidence in the Valencia family's projects, but with the current situation, any company would be hesitant to invest.

But Sofia was confident, and insisted, "No problem! The Valencia family's main project now is artificial intelligence. I heard recently that the Newman family was planning to invest in AI projects. Otherwise, I wouldn't have thought of him!"

She nudged Sarah with her shoulder, saying, "It's a great coincidence. Let's at least talk to him!"

Sarah was thoughtful and didn't say anything.

As Sofia said, this was indeed a great opportunity for the Valencia family.

Now, they needed to find a way to convince Virgil to invest in the Valencia family.

She was almost out of hope.

Sofia quickly tapped on her phone and suddenly exclaimed, "Found it!"
