Sarah thought that Serene might have been delayed due to her leg injury and didn't think much of it. "Maybe she got caught up with something. Let's wait a little longer. She'll probably arrive later."

Sarah noticed that Kevin seemed more alert now and immediately asked, "I just got back today. How have you been lately? Why didn't you video call me?"

"It doesn't matter, Dad. Let's have our meal first, okay?" Sarah quickly interrupted Kevin's pondering. Continuing to delve into something would only burden his body.
"Daughter, are you hurt?" Kevin hurriedly grabbed Sarah's wrist.
"Why would I be hurt? It's nothing." Sarah reassured him and gently patted Kevin's hand.
