Chapter 339 Ethan, Switch Places with Me

Alex gently supported Sofia, his eyes filled with apology as he looked at her. "I'm really sorry. The kids were making a commotion inside, and I was planning to hide outside the door. I didn't expect it to suddenly open. I hope I didn't hurt you."

"I'm fine, don't worry about it." Sofia unconsciously softened her tone, suddenly unable to meet the gaze of the person standing before her.

"It's all right." Alex let out a sigh of relief. "Sarah, I was wondering who opened the door. So, it's you who came back."

Alex turned his head and smiled at Sarah, his voice louder than usual.

Upon hearing Sarah's return, the children in the room straightened their bodies.

Brian even swiftly ran into the room to hide.

'If Mommy sees me, all this time spent hiding will be in vain.'

Sarah was feeling upset and didn't notice the abnormality between Sofia and Alex.

"Well, you're here to see the kids again. I'm grateful to you for taking care of the children while I'm not at home. Thank you," Sarah said.

"We don't need to be so polite between us. Besides, the children have basically grown up under my watch as well," Alex replied with a slight smile.

When he heard the closing of the door, he knew Brian had already hidden, so he stepped aside and allowed Sarah and Sofia to come in.

Sarah briefly introduced Sofia, without mentioning what had happened to herself.

Feeling guilty, Alex didn't pay much attention to Sarah's emotions and said, "Have a good time together. I'll head back now. There's still work to do at the company."

After seeing Alex off, Sarah returned to her room and sat exhausted on the couch.

She looked around, feeling a slight reluctance in her heart. Until today, she had been under the impression this place would be her lifelong home.

"Sarah, are you taking all your belongings with you?" Sofia wasted no time and started helping Sarah pack her things as soon as she entered the room.

"Just take some clothes and daily necessities. The rest belongs to him, and I don't need them," Sarah said, biting her lip.

Even though it was agonizing, she still wouldn't choose to stay there.

"Of course, you're going to trouble me," Sofia replied. "Otherwise, who else would you trouble? Now that I'm back and you can't stay here, you'll naturally stay at my place."

Sofia glared at Sarah. "Don't say things that make me angry."

Sarah pulled at the corners of her mouth. “It won’t be just me that will be staying over at your place. I might have to bring the kids with me, too."

"Of course!" Sofia exclaimed. "As their godmother, I haven't had a chance to get close to them yet. It's the perfect opportunity for them to get to know their adorable godmother!"

Sofia blinked and neatly packed Sarah's belongings.

Sarah felt much better. Luckily, she had Sofia by her side at that moment.

She was not alone after all.

After packing up, Sarah went to the living room with Sofia.

Ethan, Harper, and Ryan had just finished cleaning up Brian's traces.

"Mommy!" Harper rushed towards Sarah, "Mommy, you're back so soon. I thought you were going to play for a few more days!"

"Mommy missed you!" Sarah looked at the kids and finally showed a heartfelt smile.

"Darlings, I am your godmother Sofia. Take good care of me from now on," Sofia greeted the children and affectionately tousled Ethan's head. "This handsome boy really looks like his mommy."

"Hello, Godmother!" the kids responded warmly to Sofia.

"Darlings, do you want to go to Godmother's house to play later? Stay at my place for a few more days and have more fun."

Ryan blinked. "If we go to Godmother's house to stay, then what about Daddy? Is he coming along with us?"

"Yeah, why isn't Daddy with you? Didn't Daddy say he wanted to surprise Mommy by coming after her?" Harper hugged Sarah. "I miss Daddy."

Although Ethan didn't speak, he was also puzzled.

Sarah felt a sharp pain in her heart. Even if she ignored Ethan for now, just Harper alone had already developed a dependence on Antonio.

If they suddenly moved away, would the children be sad?

Moreover, she couldn’t take Ryan away by her. What should she do since the kids were getting along so well?

Meanwhile Brian was watching the surveillance and sensed Sarah's unusual emotions. He felt that something was off.

Brian opened the communication and spoke to Ethan through his earpiece.

"Ethan, find an excuse and go back to your room. I need to talk to Mommy using your identity."
