Chapter 200 Antonio Was Secretly Filmed

With a sense of urgency, Harper, her small arms trembling, was desperately trying to rouse Ryan, her hands clutching his head.

Antonio, taken aback by the sudden turn of events, quickly released Sarah. The household staff, trained for emergencies, swiftly brought Ryan's medication, urgently calling out, "Mr. Valencia, the medicine!"

Without wasting a moment, Antonio administered the medicine to Ryan. As the seconds ticked by, Ryan's pallor remained worryingly unchanged, showing no signs of improvement.

Harper, overwhelmed by fear, clung to Ryan's hand, her soft cries filling the room. "Wuwuwu, what's happening to Brother Ryan? Will he... die?" she whimpered.

Antonio, taking charge of the situation, scooped up Ryan and announced, "We're going to the hospital."

Without hesitation, Sarah and the two children followed. Throughout the journey, Ethan's fist remained tightly clenched, while Harper continued to sob, her pleas echoing in the car, "Please, nothing bad should happen to Brother Ryan."

Sarah held the two children close, her silent prayers fervently hoping for a swift arrival at the hospital.

Upon reaching the hospital, the doctors immediately performed emergency procedures on Ryan, pulling him back from the brink of a life-threatening situation. However, they insisted on admitting Ryan for further observation.

Thanks to the timely administration of the medicine, a major catastrophe had been narrowly avoided.

Not long after, Lucien, having heard the news, rushed to the hospital.

"Ryan! Is Ryan..." Lucien, leaning heavily on his cane, burst into the hospital room, only to find the face he loathed the most right beside Ryan's bed!

The sight reignited his anger towards Antonio, and without a second thought, he turned on Sarah.

"Why are you here? If not for you, Ryan wouldn't have fallen ill. It's all because of you, this jinx! How dare you show up at the hospital!" he raged.

Lucien had completely lost his composure, conveniently forgetting that his own actions had frightened Ryan during their argument at the old estate. Now, hearing that Ryan had fallen ill after returning to the mansion, he was quick to lay the blame squarely on Sarah's shoulders.

Antonio, witnessing Lucien's unjust attack on Sarah, immediately rose to her defense, his face darkening with anger.

"It's not her fault! It's because I didn't notice that Ryan wasn't feeling well," he retorted.

"You still defend her now. Who knows what trouble she'll cause in the future? You should divorce her immediately and kick her out!" Lucien demanded, his voice echoing ominously in the room.

Antonio's gaze fell, a battle raging within him as he struggled to contain his mounting fury. He had no desire to broach the subject at hand, especially not in Sarah's presence.

"Enough," he declared, his voice cold and final. "This matter is not up for discussion."

Sarah, however, was a tempest of emotion. Lucien's relentless insistence on their divorce had exposed a harsh reality. Even if they didn't divorce, even if Antonio didn't misunderstand Asa, could they ever truly find happiness together? She and Antonio had faced one hardship after another, as if fate itself was against them. Her heart was a whirlwind of confusion.

As Antonio's resolve remained unyielding and Sarah fell into silence, Lucien, standing beside them, erupted in anger.

"Enough, Antonio!" he spat, his voice filled with bitterness. "To go to such lengths for a woman, do you have no regard for me, your own grandfather?"

His anger was so palpable he seemed on the verge of striking out with his cane. Ryan, who had just regained consciousness on his hospital bed, recoiled in fear.

Yet, despite his fear, Ryan found the courage to speak. "Grandfather, this isn't Aunt Sarah's fault. It's my health..." His voice wavered, his small face draining of color. Lucien, not wanting to further frighten his great-grandson, held back his violent impulses.

But what could Ryan, a mere child, understand? He had even defended Sarah, suggesting she had been wronged or threatened. Lucien saw her as manipulative, pulling the strings of his son and great-grandson. A woman like her would only bring endless trouble.

With a forceful tap of his cane, Lucien shot Sarah a malicious glare. "Appearances can be deceiving, Ryan. Don't be fooled like your father," he warned before storming off, his first order of business to ensure Antonio and Sarah were kept under surveillance.

The ordeal finally over, Antonio was left both mentally and physically drained. He instructed James to escort Sarah and the children home, urging them to rest.

Sarah, understanding that her presence could incite further conflict, agreed to discuss matters with Antonio upon his return.

Three hours later, with Ryan's condition stabilized and the boy finally asleep, Antonio allowed himself a moment of relief.

He had barely taken a sip of water when a call from Serene came through, inviting him out. Despite the earlier unpleasantness at the mansion, Antonio accepted, owing to a past debt of gratitude.

Serene had been waiting at the entrance of the coffee shop. Upon seeing Antonio's car pull up, a smile spread across her face and she hurried over in her high heels. "You're here..."

The evening air had grown chilly, causing Serene to sneeze and shiver slightly. "I'm sorry, I forgot to bring a jacket," she admitted.

Antonio, concerned, removed his own coat and offered it to her. "Wear this. Don't catch a cold," he instructed.

Serene hesitated, asking, "Are you sure?" with a sheepish smile.

Antonio merely shook his head, his deep eyes narrowing slightly. Sensing a lack of warmth in his response, Serene's hand stiffened, but she quickly recovered with a calm smile. "Thank you," she said.

With a nod from Antonio, they entered the coffee shop, one after the other. Unbeknownst to them, a hidden camera in the nearby bushes was capturing their every move...
