Chapter 661 Do You Mind That I Have Amnesia?

Benjamin was momentarily taken aback by his words.

He was dead serious, but did Brian think he was joking?

Benjamin rubbed his nose and laid out all the suspicious points he'd found, saying, "That's not what I mean. Even I have doubts about myself. Don't you think something's off?"

He couldn't help but give a bitter smile.

"I don't remember anything from before, so I don't even know who I am," Benjamin said earnestly.

Brian kept frowning, eyeing him suspiciously, trying to figure out if he was telling the truth.

It was hard to tell if he believed him or not.

After a long pause, Brian's young voice broke the silence in the car. "Since you've found so much, why not just tell my mom?"

Benjamin pressed his lips together, a flash of pain in his eyes.

Why not tell Sarah?

He'd asked himself that before, but the answer was, he was too scared to.

Thinking back to every interaction with Sarah since he got to the Capital city, even if he didn't want to admit it, he had to face the fact that he brought more trouble than joy to Sarah.

That was why Sarah wanted to keep her distance.

Plus, he hadn't remembered anything yet, so he felt awkward about approaching her.

Why mess up Sarah's peaceful life with unconfirmed suspicions when she had already moved on?

Benjamin didn't explain, just looked at Brian.

"I have my reasons. Just tell me, are you in or out for dealing with the Harrington Group?"

Brian hesitated for a second, "I'm in!"

Since they were teaming up to mess with the Harrington Group, and might even potentially take it down, why not?

After all, in the end, Benjamin might not even be his dad.

He wouldn't lose anything else.

Besides, Brian had a gut feeling that Benjamin wouldn't hurt him.

They reached an agreement and spent a long time in the car plotting how to deal with the Harrington Group.

The more they talked, the slightly better Brian's impression of Benjamin became, but only slightly.

Maybe it was just influenced by Antonio.

After their discussion, Benjamin dropped Brian off at the company and then drove back to the hospital to handle his discharge.

When Isabella returned from checking out the engagement venue, and he had already finished the paperwork.

"Benjamin, are you sure you don't need to stay in the hospital for further observation?"

Benjamin adjusted his cufflinks and looked up at her. "The doctor said there's no major issue, and all the tests are done. Resting at home is the same, right?"

The way he said it made it seem like he already saw Isabella as his wife.

Before, he wouldn't have asked for her opinion.

What he said was what it was.

Isabella blushed a bit. "Alright then."

Just then, her phone rang. It was the designer for her custom dress. After a short chat, Isabella's face lit up with joy.

"Benjamin, the designer just called. They have everything ready, and we can try on the dress today. Since you're getting discharged, shall we go together?"

She felt a bit nervous asking.

She didn't want to wait anymore; she wanted things to move quickly.

Once the engagement was done, she'd be Benjamin's fiancée. Soon after, with the wedding, he'd be completely hers!

So, nothing could go wrong before that.

Benjamin was hers, and she wouldn't let anyone take him away!

To avoid any accidents, Isabella was even willing to rent a random outfit if necessary.

After hearing her, Benjamin paused.

He lowered his eyes, and from Isabella's angle, she could only see his long eyelashes, hiding all his emotions, making it impossible to read his mood.

Just as she was about to say never mind, Benjamin spoke, "Alright, let's go together."

He picked up his phone and laptop, took a few steps, then turned back. "Is there anything else that needs to be handled at the hospital?"

Isabella snapped back to reality, beaming.

"No, let's go."

She had just thought Benjamin didn't want to go, but now it seemed he really intended to be with her. Thinking of this made Isabella feel so happy.

Benjamin let her hold his arm, and they walked in sync towards the elevator.

A glint of light flashed in his eyes, and he suddenly sighed.

"It's a pity we're getting engaged, and I still haven't remembered my past. It's somewhat unfair to you," he said regretfully.

Isabella's expression froze for a moment. She quickly glanced at Benjamin's face, relieved to find nothing unusual, and said awkwardly, "It's okay. We have plenty of time to create new memories."

After all, the past didn't exist, and if it did, it was fake.

"You're right."

Benjamin nodded in agreement but then added, "But I still feel a bit regretful not remembering the past. How about you tell me about it?"

Isabella pinched her hand for a moment, then quickly composed herself.

She forced a smile, "Tell... tell what?"
