Chapter 976 You Are Done For!
The words hit Una like a bolt of lightning out of the blue.
But she only paused for a moment before letting out a cold laugh. "Your slanderous tactics are truly endless!"
"He's telling the truth!" Sarah stared directly at her. "Mrs. Morrison, I respect you as an elder, but Nia is indeed my daughter. I don't know how Bob brought her to your home or what he told you, but you should know better than anyone that she is not a Morrison child!"
Una looked at Sarah, whose eyes were red, embodying the image of a desperate mother searching for her child.
She knew that Cody had brought the child back, not adopted from a Morrison relative, which was just a cover story.
But Cody... he had left the Morrison Villa shortly after Nia arrived.
Thinking of this, Una suddenly felt a chill run through her.
Could it be...
No, impossible!
How could Cody have inexplicably stolen someone else's child?
Una steadied herself and scoffed, "You think whatever you say is the truth? Nia is our relative's child. How could that be a lie? Get out of our house now! Or don't blame me for being rude!"
As soon as she finished speaking, a group of bodyguards stepped forward.
Seeing this, James immediately moved to protect Sarah and Antonio.
Sarah, her mind filled with thoughts of Nia, pushed through the crowd and pleaded, "We've already done a DNA test. Nia is indeed our child. Please, return her to us. I'm begging you!"
In her mind, she could only hear Eden's cries, so helpless, each call seeming to be for her mother.
Mrs. Morrison was stunned for a moment, struggling to process it.
A DNA test?
Could it be true?
She thought of Bob's preparations and quickly regained her composure. "What DNA test? Who knows if you forged it?"
Her expression turned even more mocking. "You think you can fool me with a fake DNA test? What are you really after?"
"Security! Have you called the police yet?!"
Before the security could answer, the sound of sirens could be heard in the distance.
And to their surprise, it wasn't just the police who arrived, but also the media.
Seeing the commotion, Sarah became even more anxious, unsure if she would see Eden today... and what if she didn't?
Antonio's temple throbbed with anger. Holding Sarah's hand, he glared at Una. "Mrs. Morrison, you seem overly confident in Bob. Unfortunately... a lie can never become the truth!"
By now, the police and reporters had arrived.
"Mr. Harrington... you're here again?"
The police were also at a loss, dealing with such prominent figures. "Mrs. Morrison claims you're after her daughter. If you don't leave, we'll have to take appropriate measures."
"That's my daughter!" Sarah, agitated, produced the DNA test. "We personally oversaw this test. There's no way it could be wrong!"
"Who knows if your test is real or fake?" Una was equally furious. "Fox! Go get the DNA test between Nia and her father!"
As Fox hurried into the villa, she turned to the police. "You know these people have bad intentions. Who knows why they're fixated on our child? Officer, you must uphold justice for us!"
Soon, the butler returned with the test results.
Both DNA tests showed a match, confirming a biological relationship between the child and the adult samples. One was labeled Miller, the other Morrison.
To the naked eye, there was no discernible difference.
The police were stumped. "This..."
Antonio looked at the test and laughed in disbelief. "The Morrison family's actions are truly astonishing. Just one question, Mrs. Morrison, which relative did Nia come from?"
Una was extremely nervous but showed no sign of it. "This is a family matter. It's none of your concern!"
"Is that so?" Antonio smirked and turned to the reporters. "I have a recording here that the public might find very interesting."
He signaled to James.
James quickly pulled out a recorder and played the recording.
It was a conversation between Bob and Antonio.
[Bob, if you know what's good for you, leave us alone! Stop disrupting my and Sarah's life!]
[Who do you think you are? What right do you have to say that to me?]
[As Sarah's husband, is that enough?]
[Husband? Ridiculous! You don't deserve to be with Sarah. Just wait, I'll make her see your true colors and realize I'm the one who truly loves her!]
The short exchange revealed shocking information.
The reporters were wide-eyed, finding it unbelievable.
So... Bob had been fixated on a married woman all along?
And so persistently!
This was sensational!
Una's face turned ugly, and she lunged for the recorder. "Who knows if that's real or fake?! Clearly, Sarah seduced Bob, and now you're distorting the facts! Just wait... I'll sue you for defamation!"
Antonio sidestepped, nearly causing Mrs. Morrison to fall.
"Sue us all you want. We won't back down."
He looked at Una coldly, his gaze sharp.
"As I said, a lie can never become the truth. We've confirmed Nia's identity. If Mrs. Morrison won't cooperate, we'll take legal action. And then the Morrison family will be finished!"
His voice carried a unique pressure, making those around him shiver and stop in their tracks.
Sarah didn't want to leave. That was her daughter!
"Mrs. Morrison... even if you won't let me take her, can we at least arrange a reasonable visitation schedule?"
She didn't want to think about past grievances; she just wanted to see her child.
"See her? I know your intentions. How could I let you see my daughter? Leave now! The Morrison family doesn't welcome you!"
Both sides were furious.
Antonio saw Sarah being pushed by a bodyguard and quickly moved to protect her.
"Enough!"
His low roar was drowned out by the chaos, having no effect.
Seeing the reporters snapping photos, Una suddenly had an idea and shouted, "You can't break in, so now you want to fight? Fine! Let's see how the president of the Harrington Group behaves!"
She stopped pushing and instead pulled Sarah toward her.
"Mrs. Morrison... let go!"
Sarah couldn't break free and instinctively pushed back.
"Sarah's hitting me!"
