Chapter 833 He's Taking Revenge!
Sarah quickly put away those messy thoughts.
Guadalupe's deep gaze fell on her, as if he could see through her most genuine thoughts. He curled his lips with interest, "It's our first meeting, why don't I treat you all to a meal outside?"
Antonio didn't expect Guadalupe to be so polite and smiled lightly, "Mr. Diaz, there's no need to be so formal. You are the benefactor of our entire Valencia Family. If anyone should be treating, it should be me."
There was no reason for Guadalupe to be the one treating.
Guadalupe didn't comment.
Sarah was worried that too many people might upset Guadalupe, so she left the kids at home with Kevin and Brady. She and Antonio drove to Guadalupe's dinner.
Francis rode in Guadalupe's car.
The restaurant wasn't far from the villa, just a ten-minute drive.
When Sarah and her husband arrived, Guadalupe and Francis had already entered the private room. As soon as they walked in, they saw the two sitting close together.
Sarah blinked, and that strange feeling surged up again.
Francis didn't notice her gaze. He tried to ignore Guadalupe beside him and smiled lightly, "See if there's anything you want to eat."
"Ah, okay." She snapped back to reality and sat down, shaking her head, "Francis, you decide. We're not picky eaters."
Sarah felt her thoughts were really abnormal. For a long time afterward, she kept glancing at the two men across from her, curious about their real relationship.
However, Guadalupe was much more enthusiastic than yesterday.
He even took the initiative to toast the couple.
"During the time Francis was back in the country, I have to thank you both for taking care of him." His warm smile carried a hint of insincerity, like a layer of fog, making it hard to see clearly. "It's just that he occasionally has a bad temper. Mr. Valencia, as his younger brother, please bear with him."
What Guadalupe said seemed like gratitude, but it was actually strange, as if he was claiming Francis as his own, closer than Antonio, his brother.
Even Antonio was stunned for a moment, not knowing how to respond.
Francis felt a tightness in his chest, knowing Guadalupe was getting back at him for the slapping yesterday!
He suddenly felt very flustered, worried that Guadalupe would say something even stranger. He quickly picked up a piece of meat for him. "Mr. Diaz, you're joking. Antonio is my brother. It's only right for him to do what he does, just like you are my savior, and I should repay you!"
Guadalupe heard the gritted teeth in his last sentence and smiled, "Indeed."
With that, he slowly picked up the piece of meat and put it in his mouth.
This deliberate action made Francis feel like he wasn't eating meat but something else.
Antonio wanted to say something, but his phone suddenly rang. It was James calling.
He turned to Guadalupe and Francis and nodded, "Excuse me, I need to take this call."
"Mr. Valencia, there's a problem with the InnovaTech Solutions project. The other party specifically requested to see you. They're already at the company. Can you come over now?"
"Okay, I understand. Calm them down, I'll be there soon."
After hanging up, Antonio glanced at Francis.
InnovaTech Solutions was the project Antonio had involved his brother in before he and Sarah went to Luminara.
So he frowned and said, "Francis, there's a problem with the InnovaTech Solutions project. I heard our supplier's quality control failed. Do you know anything about this?"
He didn't mean anything by it, just that Francis was the person in charge, and it was normal to ask him when something went wrong.
Francis was speechless, "I..."
Facing Antonio's sincere eyes, he couldn't speak.
He was responsible for the project, and now that something had gone wrong, he couldn't shirk the responsibility.
Seeing him silent, Antonio fell into thought, a bit puzzled. "All the Valencia Group's suppliers' samples are strictly controlled. They should have shown you, Francis. Can you think of any step where something might have gone wrong?"
He didn't suspect Francis.
It was just that such situations rarely happened before, so he couldn't understand.
Francis's face turned pale at his question.
His lips moved, instinctively wanting to answer, but he noticed Guadalupe beside him watching him mockingly. The words stuck in his throat.
Finally, Francis shook his head, "I can't think of anything right now."
Antonio nodded, "Alright, I need to go back to the company to meet the other party's president. Francis, will you come with me?"
Sarah interjected, "I'll go too!"
If the two brothers left, it would just be her and Guadalupe.
She didn't want to have dinner alone with Guadalupe, who was very strange.
Francis took a deep breath, "Of course, I'll go with you."
Guadalupe chuckled, his eyes never leaving Francis, "It seems today's meal won't happen. In that case, I'll take Francis to the company. Mr. Valencia and Mrs. Valencia can go ahead in one car."
They had come this way earlier, so this arrangement was fine.
Antonio nodded, "Thank you, Mr. Diaz."
With that, he and Sarah hurried to the company.
Francis watched the couple leave, looking dazed.
"What, can't bear to part?" Guadalupe's deep voice carried a hint of coldness as he pushed the wheelchair to the other side, "Too bad, you can only sit with me, in the same car."
Francis closed his eyes briefly, not speaking.
After getting in the car, he said, "I need to go back to the Valencia Villa first. I moved too quickly to the other place and left some documents in Antonio's study."
The driver paused but didn't move immediately, looking at Guadalupe in the rearview mirror for instructions.
Guadalupe curled his lips meaningfully, "As he wishes."
Soon, the car stopped at the Valencia villa. Guadalupe personally lifted Francis into the wheelchair. Just as he was about to push it, Francis said, "I'm just getting some documents. I can go myself. You wait at the door."
Guadalupe's eyes narrowed slightly, and after a moment, he let go. "Don't make me wait too long."
Francis forced a smile, "Okay."
It was a weekday, and the villa was quiet. Francis didn't want to disturb anyone.
He wheeled himself to the study, soon coming out with a document, closing the door behind him, not noticing the light footsteps upstairs.
At the door, Francis saw Guadalupe leaning against the car, his black suit accentuating his tall, lean figure, broad shoulders hinting at firm muscles, exuding a masculine allure.
Guadalupe looked up, his lips curling into a wicked smile as he saw him. "Come here."
Francis was silent.
He pressed his lips tightly, wheeling himself over, "Let's go."
Guadalupe stood up, glancing at the document on his lap, "The Valencia Group's project failure, was it you?"
"Yes." Facing Guadalupe's question, he couldn't deny it.
