Chapter 889 Don't Abandon Us!
The two reached a consensus, and Guadalupe did not step into the Valencia Family's door again. After saying a few words to Lisa, he got in the car and left.
He was going to personally catch that audacious Francis!
Guadalupe sat in the back seat, his whole body seething with anger like an impenetrable net, permeating every corner of the car. The veins on the back of his hand bulged, and his suppressed rage was beyond control!

Sarah didn't know that Guadalupe had already come looking for her. She finished eating fruit and took the plate to the kitchen. When she came out, she saw Lisa looking distraught. "Elara, you don't look well. Are you feeling unwell?"
Lisa snapped back to reality and quickly responded, "Thank you, Mrs. Valencia, for your concern. I think it's just because I went out to throw the trash and got some sun."
"Well, if you're not feeling well, take a rest," Sarah said casually and went upstairs. She had just picked up her phone when she received a call. It was from Virgil.
'It's been so long; could he still be hung up on Sofia?' Sarah thought.
She hesitated for a moment but answered the call. "Hello, Mr. Newman, what can I do for you?"
On the other end, Virgil heard her voice and a cold smile appeared on his lips, though his voice remained as gentle as ever, "Ms. Miller, I remember you said before that you were in charge of the Harris Family's affairs. Does that still hold true?"
Sarah was taken aback, "Of course, it does."
Sofia and Alex were still traveling the world. As Sofia's good friend, she naturally had to help them.
"That's good." Virgil seemed to breathe a sigh of relief, "The Harris Family's project is having issues. If it's not handled well, Mr. Harris might end up in jail. You see..."
The unfinished sentence could mean many things.
But it was clear he wanted Sarah to step in and resolve it.
Sarah was surprised, "Mr. Harris showed me the project plans before. There were no issues in any of the stages. Why is there a problem now?"
"Ms. Miller, are you questioning me?" Virgil's tone turned colder, "The Newman Family is just an investor. Strictly speaking, this has nothing to do with us. I'm just notifying you out of goodwill. As for the cause and effect, only the Harris Family knows. How would I know?"
Sarah frowned at his tone, took a deep breath, and said, "Mr. Newman, you misunderstood. I didn't mean to question you. Alright, I understand. I'll look into it. Thank you."
She wasn't in the mood to say more and hung up directly.
Virgil listened to the dial tone, unable to hide the coldness on his face.
Since the last wedding, Virgil had been holding a grudge and had long wanted to teach Sarah a lesson!
Not long ago, he bribed a desperado from Capital City to make Sarah pay for what she did. Unexpectedly, Sarah, that wretched woman, was lucky enough to escape!
So Virgil turned his attention to the Harris Family. He deliberately tampered with the project they were collaborating on, causing a worker to die at the construction site.
Didn't Sarah make a promise? He wanted to see how many times Sarah could shield the Harris Family from disaster!
With such a big issue, Sarah immediately called the Harris Family to understand the situation.
Now, the deceased's family insisted on not taking money and wanted to sue the Harris Family to the end. They even claimed that the Harris Group had many violations, which led to the death!

Sarah held her phone, patting it in her palm, feeling a bit anxious. She had been pacing back and forth in the room for a while.
Ethan ran in, wanting her to play a game with him, but seeing Sarah worried, he asked, "Mommy, what's wrong? Why are you unhappy?"
Sarah sighed, "Sofia's family has some issues. I am considering whether to go help."
Since she had promised to help the Harris Family, she shouldn't stand by idly.
Ethan was a bit confused, "Isn't Sofia traveling with Alex? What could be wrong with her family?"
"It's Sofia's parents' home." Sarah smiled after saying that. How could a child understand such complicated matters? "You go play by yourself. I will think about whether to go."
Ethan nodded, half understanding. "Alright then."
After Ethan left, Sarah started pacing again. She felt that her current pregnancy condition was not suitable for long-distance travel, but she couldn't think of anyone to replace her.
Soon, Antonio came back, and Sarah had just finished packing her suitcase.
Antonio's brow twitched, feeling that this scene was damn familiar.
He had been a bit jealous because of the previous incident, but now he couldn't care about that. He quickly stepped forward to hold her hand, "Sarah, where are you going? You can't abandon us!"
At this moment, Ethan heard the commotion and ran over, saying with a mix of amusement and exasperation, "Dad, Mommy is going to Luminara! Sofia's family has some issues."
Antonio finally breathed a sigh of relief, picked Ethan up, and then turned to Sarah. The worry on his face was almost overflowing. "Sarah, what's wrong with the Harris Family?"
Sarah sighed, "I don't know what's wrong with their project. A worker died at the construction site, and now the victim's family insists on pursuing it to the end. If not handled well, Sofia's father might even go to jail."
"Is it that serious?" Antonio put Ethan down, "I'll handle this. You stay home and rest."
Sarah was already in the late stages of pregnancy, and he was worried.
Sarah shook her head, "Francis is not here now, and only Brian is at the company. You stay and help him."
The Harris Family's issue was something she had taken on herself, and she didn't want Antonio to worry about it.
"Then we'll go together." Antonio gently tapped her nose, "You want to leave me behind again? Hmm?"
He hadn't spent much time with Sarah and didn't want to be separated again.
"It's settled then. James is still at the company." Antonio comfortingly patted her back while speaking and turned to pack his things. "I can't leave your side. Wherever you go, I go. Otherwise, how will you sleep well at night?"
Seeing him insist, Sarah didn't say more.
Soon, Antonio finished packing. The couple said goodbye to the kids and gave a few instructions to the housekeeper before preparing to leave.
Lisa heard they were going on a trip and saw them looking so loving, and she was furious!
'How did these two make up so quickly? Sarah, that wretched woman, is entangled with Francis, and Antonio doesn't mind at all!' Lisa thought.
