Chapter 268 Unable to Hide the Embarrassment
Antonio was taken aback. "What's wrong?"
Sarah swallowed and made sure no one was around before summoning the courage to act.
Slowly tiptoeing, she quickly pecked Antonio's lips.
Thinking that might not be enough, she wrapped her arms around Antonio's neck and deepened the sudden kiss.
Antonio had already been holding back for days, and how could he resist when provoked like this?
He lifted Sarah and placed her on the coffee table, his large hands firmly gripping her slender waist as he passionately tasted the softness of her lips.
Laughter suddenly came from outside the door. Sarah's mind rang alarm bells, and her heart felt like it was about to jump out of her throat.
Realizing that they were in the company building a bit too late, she regretted taking the initiative to kiss Antonio. If someone saw them, could they still remain respectable?
Sarah hurriedly pushed away Antonio, who was on the verge of losing control, and stammered, "I... I have to go busy myself first. Enjoy your drink."
Her words seemed inexplicable. But Sarah didn't care about that in her flustered state. She disappeared into her office like a wisp of smoke.
Antonio wiped the corner of his lips, feeling the lingering sweetness.
Watching Sarah's panicked figure, Antonio couldn't help but raise his eyebrows.
…
That afternoon, Antonio was not idle.
"Sarah, I want the document I signed this morning."
Seizing the opportunity, he brushed her hand.
…
"Sarah, how about having Western cuisine for lunch?"
He enjoyed the steak personally cut by his wife.
…
"Sarah, the air conditioning is too cold."
'Cold enough for hugs and kisses.'
"Sarah..."
…
Everyone at Valencia Inc. noticed that Antonio seemed unusually attached to his wife these past two days. No matter what work matters he had, he always found his wife first to discuss them.
Finally, under the consecutive summons, Sarah realized that Antonio seemed to care less about her background.
Antonio called Sarah once again, "Sarah, I heard there's a new Japanese restaurant near the company. Shall we go for dinner?"
"Not good."
However, this time, the summoning did not receive the expected result!
"Sarah..." Antonio drooped his brows as if he was slightly hurt.
"Antonio, do you know that even if you deliberately put on this expression, you can't hide the upward curve of your lips?" Sarah pulled Antonio's ear. "Tell me, are you deliberately trying to act pitiful?"
Antonio looked delighted, willingly allowing Sarah to tug on his ear. "I'm not acting pitiful. I just wanted to spend more time with you during these free moments."
Listening to Antonio's soft tone, Sarah couldn't help but soften her attitude.
In fact, she wasn't really angry. On the contrary, she felt pleased that Antonio was emerging from his gloom.
"What's with this free time of yours? It's been 24 hours, and you're sticking to me like glue," Sarah complained, though her lips couldn't help but curl up, just like Antonio's.
"I want to stick with you for 25 hours every day..." Antonio's gaze suddenly became deep and lingering.
Sarah's gentle and beautiful face was imprinted in Antonio's eyes, and his gaze intertwined with every inch of her being.
The atmosphere escalated, and Sarah's hand slowly glided along Antonio's cheek, her fingertips caressing his sharp jawline.
The gap between them slowly narrowed until their breaths mingled, tickling each other's noses. Their heartbeats quickened, nearly drowning out the silence of the office.
"Daddy! Mommy!"
The office door suddenly flew open as Harper rushed in, holding a box of small cakes. "We brought cakes to visit!"
Antonio was so startled that he almost fell in place. He turned around and awkwardly touched his nose. "Harper, why are you here?"
Sarah's face turned as red as an apple, and she nervously rubbed her neck to hide her embarrassment.
"Harper, Ethan, why are you here?"
"Huh, why are Mommy and Daddy asking the same question? I already said it: Ethan and I came to visit."
Harper blinked her grape-like eyes, looking somewhat puzzled at her parents.
Sarah cleared her throat. "It's nothing, really. Oh, Harper, what do you have in your hands?"
Harper furrowed her brows. "Mommy, I already said, I brought small cakes. What's wrong with you today? Oh, I just noticed that Mommy's face is really red, are you sick?"
'The more one tries to hide their embarrassment, the more embarrassing it becomes…'
