Chapter 410 I Am a Child Prodigy

Sarah's face immediately blushed. "You're thinking about these things while you're still injured? What's wrong with you?"

"Of course, all I think about is you. Since the day I met you, there hasn't been anyone else in my mind."

Antonio held Sarah's hand tightly, unable to suppress his emotions.

Although Sarah was moved, she still pushed him away as she looked at his wound. "What kind of beautiful thoughts are you having? Go to sleep now. If you mess with your wound, I won't let it slide."

Sarah patted Antonio's face and neatly arranged the scattered medicine, placing it on the sofa.

Antonio didn't push for anything further. He turned over on the bed and lay down peacefully.

"Since my wife has spoken, I will go to sleep."

Antonio cast a smug glance at Sarah. Truth be told, he hadn't planned on doing anything tonight; it was merely a momentary impulse.

Originally, all he desired was to drift off to sleep while cradling Sarah.

Sarah lay back on the bed and turned the lights off.

"Antonio, goodnight."

He gently held her in his arms, kissed her forehead lightly, and said, "Sarah, I promise you, nothing like this will happen again from now on."

Sarah cuddled closer to Antonio's embrace without saying a word but held onto his waist tightly.

The next day…

When the first ray of morning sunlight shone through the gap in the curtains onto Antonio's face, he opened his eyes.

Before him was Sarah, peacefully asleep.

"Good morning, Sarah."

Antonio couldn't remember the last time he fell asleep while holding Sarah. He slept exceptionally well this night and felt unusually secure.

Still half-asleep, Sarah mumbled a response, then drifted back to a deep slumber.

An uncontrollable smile spread across Antonio's face as he leaned down to plant a gentle kiss on Sarah's forehead before rising from bed.

Despite his injury, it didn't deter him from his customary morning run.

Yesterday's events fueled his determination to stay active. What if another unforeseen crisis arose and his own shortcomings jeopardized his wife and children?

To his surprise, he bumped into Brian, who was also out jogging in the backyard.

"Good morning, Brian."

"Morning."

Brian was taken aback to encounter Antonio at this hour. He'd never been one for running, but after yesterday's events, he resolved to start exercising to avoid feeling helpless in similar situations.

Evidently, father and son shared a common notion.

At that moment, with only the two of them, Brian felt a bit out of place.

After completing a few laps in silence, they settled into chairs in the backyard.

Being unaccustomed to jogging, Brian gasped for air as he sat on the chair after his run.

Antonio noticed the situation and gently rubbed Brian's legs on his own, saying, "After exercising, remember to massage your calves. Otherwise, your muscles will become sore, and the workout will turn into a burden."

Brian silently nodded. He had initially wanted to pull back his legs, but he was afraid it would be too awkward to do so.

"I understand, thank you."

"No need to thank me." After massaging Brian, Antonio focused on his own legs and asked, "How are the recent stocks doing? I feel like they're showing a downward trend. Have they been affected by something?"

Brian took a sip of water and calmly answered Antonio's questions about the stock market.

The two of them engaged in a discussion about stocks, and surprisingly, Antonio found that their thoughts were quite similar. They both had the intention to expand their business scope.

"I think we have an opportunity to collaborate. This way, I can expand into the international market, and you can establish yourself in the domestic market. What do you think?"

Antonio genuinely admired Brian's insights on the stock market, yet he couldn't shake the sadness he felt. He believed a child as young as Brian should be enjoying the care and presence of their parents, not sacrificing their childhood for such matters.

Brian noticed the compassionate emotions in Antonio's eyes. He took another sip of water, remaining calm and composed.

"You don't have to look at me like that. After all, I'm a prodigy, and these matters aren't a problem for me."

Antonio was at a loss for words.
