Chapter 571 She Was Instantly Startled

With the matter settled, they discussed the delivery time, and Sarah and the company executives accompanied them downstairs.

At the entrance of the building, Sarah's smile showed more sincerity. "Mr. Harrington, if there's anything you need, please feel free to contact us. We will strictly control the quality on the factory's side."

The sun outside was shining brightly, casting a golden glow on her face.

Benjamin's Adam's apple moved up and down, suddenly wanting to say something more to Sarah.

But what should he say? What is there to say? He didn't know.

He only knew that he seemed to be losing control more and more when facing Sarah.

Benjamin averted his gaze and said lightly to the person behind him, "Let's go."

Little did he know that before they could get in the car, the sound of a car engine came from a distance.

Everyone instinctively turned to look, only to see a silver Mercedes-Benz approaching.

This Mercedes-Benz is parked right at the entrance of the building, in plain view of everyone.

Then, the car window rolled down, revealing a handsome face.

When Sarah saw the license plate, a big smile appeared on her face. When she saw Alex, she immediately ran toward him with a pleasantly surprised look.

"Why did you come back?!"

Benjamin hadn't paid attention to whose car it was, but Sarah's surprised shout successfully made him stop in his tracks.

Alex got out of the driver's seat and handed Sarah a gift bag with a smile. "I came back because I wanted to. This is a gift from your son."

Sarah didn't hesitate to reach out and take it. "So why did you show up here?"

Wasn't Alex supposed to be abroad? He's back now. Can Brian handle everything there on his own?

"There's nothing going on over there now." Alex looked at the worry in her eyes and couldn't help but laugh. "Don't worry. Can you still doubt his abilities?"

"That's true. My son is a genius."

Alex smiled. "I came back to help him with some official business, and I also have some good news to tell you."

Sarah already had a guess. The good news must be related to her brother. "Has my brother's condition improved?"

"You're really smart." Alex praised her. "Mr. Miller only has one more course of treatment left, and Brian has already set a date to return home next month. You'll be able to see them soon."

"That's great!"

Sarah couldn't control her excitement, her smile overflowing.
She reached out and punched Alex lightly on the chest, saying, "I owe all of this to your help!"
These past few months have been one of the happiest moments for Sarah.

But she didn't even notice that the people from the Harrington Group were still there, leaving them ignored unconsciously.

The Harrington Group watched this scene unfold helplessly, feeling that even though it was a sunny day, the temperature around them was dropping.

Isabella Moore also sensitively noticed that something was wrong.
She glanced at the man beside her and noticed that his perfect profile was now cold and rigid as if he was restraining something.
Her eyes narrowed slightly.
'Is he angry?' Isabella pondered.
Benjamin was indeed struggling to control his displeasure. He couldn't hear what the two people over there were saying at all, but their intimate gestures and the woman's unguarded smile were particularly glaring in his eyes.

It turns out Sarah has quite a lot of men around her! One after another, is she really able to handle all of them?!

I thought Sarah really loved her deceased husband so much, but now it seems that her previous sorrowful appearance is too ironic!
Could it be an act?!

Benjamin's lips curled into a cold smile, his gaze unmoved.
Just then, he saw Sarah smiling brightly, her lips moving in laughter. The man next to her looked shy, like a boy in the throes of first love!

Benjamin sneered. What matters to him is how many men Sarah has!

Benjamin, surrounded by cold air, walked away, got into his car, and had no intention of greeting Sarah.

Isabella Moore's face turned pale. She glanced in Sarah's direction, then floated over to the other side and got in the car.

Sarah didn't notice their actions. She continued the joke she made earlier with Alex, saying, "Did I say something wrong? My baby will call Sofia godmother, but when you and Sofia get married and have your own baby, I will definitely be the godmother, too!"

Sarah knew that when she went to another city to attend the university's anniversary celebration, she almost got bullied by that beast, Asa Donat. Her best friend Sofia Harris and Alex met once.
But at that time, she was arguing with Antonio and didn't notice when these two got close.

It was only later when Sofia mysteriously told Sarah that she and Alex were together, that Sarah found out.
Inevitably, Sarah thought of Antonio again.

Just then, the sound of engines started to echo behind her, followed by a fleet of cars passing by.

It was the fleet of cars owned by the Harrington Group.

Sarah turned around in surprise. Why was Mr. Harrington leaving so late?

She had assumed he had already left earlier, but he hadn't made a sound.

But then again, Benjamin was always one to do as he pleased. Who knows what he was thinking?

Sarah shrugged it off and turned her head back to continue talking to Alex. They exchanged a few more words before Alex checked the time and said, "It's about time. I need to go take care of some business. We can chat later."

"Okay, good luck," Sarah said, putting her hands in her jacket pockets as she watched him leave.

She turned around and headed back to the company. Along the way, she noticed that everyone seemed to be in good spirits, and her mood improved as well.

Sarah decided to leave work early and take the opportunity to go for a walk. It was a rare moment when she had some time to herself.

After greeting James, Sarah left the company with her bag. She knew the children would be happy to see her returning early. As she passed by, she decided to buy a bouquet of flowers to add some life to her big, cold, and silent mansion.

She parked her car by the roadside before walking towards the flower shop.

The flower shop was located in a small alley with elegant decor. The small gaps between the stones on the path leading to the entrance were filled with moss, giving off a unique scent that seemed to distance itself from the hustle and bustle of the city, bringing a sense of tranquility.

This was the flower shop Sarah had frequented in the past. She loved the simple decoration style and the laid-back attitude of the owner.

As Sarah looked at the flower shop, which was not too far away, she felt a sense of calmness wash over her. She couldn't help but feel a bit excited as she took small steps forward. It had been a while since she last visited.

However, just as she had taken a few steps, she suddenly heard footsteps behind her.

The sound of the steps, deep and shallow, seemed to be following her.

Sarah had a strange feeling in her heart, a sense of panic that she couldn't explain. Just as she was about to turn around and see, a sinister voice came from behind, saying, "Sarah.".

Sarah was shocked and gasped for breath as she turned her head.

She was instantly filled with dread!
