Chapter 888 Inside and Outside Cooperation
Although the assistant didn't know what had happened, seeing Guadalupe's murderous look made his soul tremble.
But he still had to say what needed to be said. "Mr. Diaz, this is a critical moment, we..."
"What, are you trying to boss me around?" Guadalupe shot a cold glance, instantly silencing everyone. "Is the company full of useless people? If you can't execute the plan, get out early!"
"Yes, Mr. Diaz!"
Guadalupe's chest heaved violently, the muscles under his suit bulging as if one could feel the veins pulsing beneath.
After all this time, he wanted to see if Francis planning to ignore his words.
'And that damn woman, Sarah!' He thought.
At the designated location, the private jet's route approval didn't take long. By 5 PM the next day, Guadalupe's car was already parked in front of the Valencia Group.
The driver got out first, jogged to the back seat, and respectfully opened the door.
The first thing visible was a pair of shiny leather shoes.
Guadalupe's long, powerful legs stepped out of the car, his black suit accentuating his cold, aggressive demeanor to the extreme.
He glanced at the building in front of him and walked inside. Would Francis be surprised to see him?
Ten minutes later, Guadalupe stood in the vice president's office of the Valencia Group, his expression on the verge of fury, his eyes as cold as a winter storm.
The assistant reporting beside him was almost scared stiff but still forced himself to speak, "The early stages of the project are crucial. Mr. Valencia said he needs to oversee it personally to feel assured."
'Oversee the project? Francis is deliberately avoiding me!' Guadalupe thought.
Guadalupe thought of the bodyguards' reports over the past few days. They had said everything was normal, which meant Francis had already made arrangements to avoid him and had his subordinates run away!
"Where's Antonio?"
"Mr. Valencia is in the company today."
The assistant, hearing his icy voice, cautiously asked, "Mr. Diaz, do you want to see him?"
Guadalupe sneered, "No need."
He was looking for Sarah!
Since Francis had run away, Sarah shouldn't think she could escape!
Guadalupe's mind was filled with images of Sarah and Francis being intimate. He wanted to grab her immediately and torment her!
That was what he thought, and that was what he planned to do!
After leaving the Valencia Group, he went straight to the Valencia Mansion.
Since Antonio was in the company, he wanted to see who else could protect that damn Sarah today!
As the car stopped, Guadalupe saw a woman by the trash bin at the entrance, seemingly doing something. Judging by her attire, she was a maid of the Valencia Family, fiddling with something.
Lisa didn't expect anyone to come back at this time!
She was dealing with the laxatives she had given Ryan yesterday. She hurriedly wiped her hands and turned around, only to meet Guadalupe's cold gaze.
Guadalupe glanced behind her and said sharply, "Tell me, what are you hiding?"
Lisa didn't expect it to be a stranger. She felt a bit relieved but still remained cautious.
Guadalupe didn't look like someone to mess with.
"I... nothing."
Seeing her guilty expression, Guadalupe suddenly became interested, curling his lips meaningfully, "Really? Should I call the cop to check?"
Lisa lowered her head, not speaking.
Guadalupe didn't seem in a hurry. He walked over step by step, his eyes fixed on Lisa's reaction.
His intuition told him Lisa was not simple.
"What, did you just hide some poison?" As soon as Guadalupe said this, he noticed Lisa stiffen slightly. His cold smile grew wider, mocking.
"Do you have a grudge against the Valencia Family?" Guadalupe added.
Lisa picked at her fingers, still silent.
Without knowing Guadalupe's identity, the more she said, the more she would be exposed. It was better to say nothing; after all, whatever she said would just be his guess.
Guadalupe already had an answer in his mind but didn't stop talking.
"Or did Francis just run away, and you couldn't wait to dispose of the poison? Are you and he in cahoots? Did you help him escape? Hmm?"
Lisa's mind raced as she listened to his words.
It seemed Guadalupe was very familiar with the Valencia Family, and from his tone, she felt he had a deep connection with Francis.
He sounded very resentful.
"I... I didn't." Lisa organized her words and said softly, "I'm just a maid. How could Mr. Valencia's departure have anything to do with me?"
Guadalupe squinted, "So you know who it does have to do with?"
Lisa timidly took a step back, accidentally kicking the paper packet of medicine behind the trash bin. She looked like she was about to cry in fear.
"I... I don't know! I don't know anything!" She had to figure out whose side Guadalupe was on!
Guadalupe was like a lion awakened, his overwhelming presence impossible to ignore.
He grabbed Lisa's jaw, slowly tightening his grip. "Speak! Is it related to that bitch Sarah? Hmm?"
As if she wouldn't get her jaw back if she didn't speak!
Lisa's face changed in pain, Guadalupe's grip leaving no room for her to break free.
But she felt a twisted pleasure inside, realizing Guadalupe was indeed Sarah's enemy! Didn't that mean they had the same goal?
Of course, she had to help him!
"I... I'll talk!"
Guadalupe let go, his eyes like a giant vortex, staring at her, "If what you say doesn't satisfy me, I'll throw you into the river to feed the fish."
His tone was calm, icy.
Lisa shivered, speaking softly, "Mr. Valencia and Sarah do have a shady relationship."
"I've seen them alone before. Yesterday at noon, I heard them whispering in the garden. Mr. Valencia said something about running away and asked Sarah to help him."
"I didn't dare get too close, so I don't know the details. I only heard Sarah agree, saying she would help him. I didn't expect Mr. Valencia to leave that night."
A storm passed through Guadalupe's eyes, "Why should I believe you?"
'Isn't he the one who asks me to speak?' Lisa cursed inwardly, then sighed, feeling like she had made a decision, "Didn't you see? I was indeed dealing with poison, but I didn't succeed."
"I hate Sarah, I wish she would die immediately!" She raised her head, "If it weren't for that bitch Sarah, how could I have ended up as a maid? The scar on my face is because of her!"
The scar on Lisa's face was quite obvious, just at the jawline, partially hidden but terrifying when exposed.
Guadalupe was silent for a moment, seemingly considering the truth of her words. "In that case, why don't you cooperate with me?"
Lisa stared at him, surprised he would say that.
Guadalupe looked at the villa behind her, suppressing his raging anger, "You should understand we are on the same side now. You help me keep an eye on the Valencia Family, and I'll help you get revenge on Sarah!"
"Re... really?"
Guadalupe raised an eyebrow, "Do I look untrustworthy?"
"Alright, I agree!" Lisa gritted her teeth, "As long as Sarah pays for what she's done, I'll do anything!"
