Chapter 499 I'll Die Right Now for You to See
"Sarah, be careful! What are you doing??"
Antonio was instantly scared into a cold sweat. His whole body went stiff, and his heart nearly leaped out of his throat, "Sarah, don't be impulsive! Can we talk it out? What are you doing?!"
Sarah, with one hand on the railing and one leg already stepping out, coldly looked at Antonio. Her expression looking somewhat sad. "Antonio, I want you to set me free!"
Antonio's heart was about to shatter. He never thought that one day Sarah would really threaten him with her own life.
"Sarah, do you really have to do this?"
"Yes! Antonio, I want you to set me free right now, or I'll die right in front of you!"
Sarah had never been as calm as she was now. She couldn't continue to endure Antonio's threats; she couldn't take it anymore!
Of course, she wouldn't jump off the building. If she died, what would happen to her brother, and what about her children?
Sarah was just gambling, gambling that Antonio still cared about her life!
Antonio clenched his fists tightly, his stomach aching faintly, his brain working rapidly.
"Sarah, if you die, what about your brother? Your sons and daughter? Aren't you afraid of what I'll do to them? Alright, if you think I won't be cruel to them, what about Kevin?"
Sarah was furious, "Antonio, Mr. Jerrett has nothing to do with me!"
"He indeed has nothing to do with you, so you can act without any regard, right? Sarah, I guarantee that the moment you jump, I will jump with Kevin. I mean what I say!"
Antonio growled; his eyes were filled with unusual determination.
For a moment, Sarah felt a deep fear and sadness.
She could tell that Antonio was really capable of doing such a thing!
While Sarah was stunned, Antonio directly stepped forward and pulled her down from the rooftop railing.
He held Sarah tightly in his arms, wishing he could merge her into his own flesh and blood.
His lips were trembling, and he felt a sense of relief as if he had survived a calamity.
If Sarah really didn't want to live just now, he would definitely jump down with her...
If there was no Sarah in this world, there would be no meaning in his life!
But all the tenderness turned into sharp words at the tip of his tongue.
"Sarah, if you do this again, I will make you regret it!"
"Antonio, you're really despicable..."
A hot tear slipped from the corner of Sarah's eye. She had no way to escape from Antonio...
The two stood on the rooftop for a long time, and eventually, Antonio took Sarah down.
"I will let you stay in the hospital, and let the children accompany you every day. You can come and go freely, but there must be someone guarding you 24 hours a day."
This was Antonio's bottom line.
Sarah didn't argue back. To be precise, how could she argue back? Now, she felt like a grasshopper tied up in a cage, every movement affecting her whole body.
She silently returned to the ward, listening to the laughter coming from the room. Sarah wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes and pretended nothing had happened as she pushed open the door.
Harper immediately ran over and threw herself into Sarah's arms, "Mommy, we were telling Mr. Jerrett the story of how Brian and Ethan switched identities at home! Grandpa really likes to hear it!"
The little one looked a bit like she was seeking praise, as if to say – it was all because I told the story well!
Antonio smiled and winked at his daughter. The little girl was in high spirits and happily made a face back at her dad.
After watching the interaction between father and daughter, Sarah subtly shifted her body to block Harper from Antonio. Then she held Harper and sat down by the bed, pouring some water for Kevin.
"Dad, you've been talking for a while. Have some water first, look how dry your lips are."
"Alright, alright, I'll drink some water first. Little Ethan, you continue. How did you manage to hide from your mom and dad's search when you hid in the closet?"
The children gathered around Kevin and started chattering again.
Sarah sat quietly on the side without saying a word, clearly lost in thought.
Antonio leaned against the wall just inside the door.
Antonio was still shivering as he thought about what had just happened on the rooftop.
He actually knew that Sarah wouldn't end her life so easily. Sarah was just using this method to force him to give in.
But to be able to push Sarah to this point, he really wasn't a good person...
However, whether Antonio wanted to play the villain role or not, he had no choice.
As long as Sarah could still stand in front of him, alive and well, even if it meant going to hell, Antonio was ready.
