Chapter 417 Antonio, Don't Be Ignorant

Antonio's tone immediately became serious. "It's someone from Serene's company. They called me, saying they couldn't reach her.

"Her company has an important meeting, and they need Serene to attend. But they couldn't reach her, so they ended up contacting me. Darling, please don't misunderstand. I didn't intend to find her."

Sarah listened to Antonio's anxious explanation and couldn't help but smile. "I know, I know. The nurse at the hospital was also looking for Serene. They had agreed she would visit today, but she didn't show up."

"Mr. Jerrett's condition has worsened, and the doctor wants to find her to discuss the follow-up treatment."

"Well... What's going on?" Antonio also felt that something was not right. "I haven't been able to reach her lately, and the orthopedic doctors we found couldn't proceed with the treatment."

Sarah's heart skipped a beat, and she suddenly asked, "Antonio, could something have happened to Serene?"

Frowning, Antonio replied, "What could possibly happen to her?"

Sarah couldn't sit still anymore. "I don't know... No, let's go and see. Just in case."

Antonio nodded. "Alright, let's meet at her house."

At that moment, he hoped nothing bad had happened to Serene.

But Sarah said, "No need. You wait for me at home, I'll come to pick you up."

Sarah felt uneasy about Antonio driving over at this moment. Typically, their driver wasn't available on weekends, meaning Antonio would have to drive himself if they decided to go out.

However, given his current physical condition, he should not be driving at all.

What if he got into an accident on the way?

Antonio had driven that day because she had just been kidnapped and hadn't been feeling well. It was a last resort.

Now, she was perfectly fine and full of energy.

Upon hearing Sarah's words, a warm feeling flowed through Antonio. He understood that Sarah was worried about his health, and a smile unconsciously formed on his lips.

"Alright, my dear. I'll obediently wait for you at home."

Antonio happily ended the phone call.

As he turned around, he noticed the four children looking at him with a hint of disdain.

"Daddy, is there any need to be so happy?" Harper sighed.

Although she really hoped to see her parents getting along well, it didn't mean she wanted to sit there and watch her dad's silly smile.

Too childish!

And saying "obediently wait"? That's something only little kids say!

Meanwhile, Antonio looked proud. "Of course! Your mommy is going to personally drive back to pick me up now! It used to be me picking her up all the time."

"What's so praiseworthy about that?" Brian didn't understand.

Antonio initially intended to explain, but then he reconsidered, realizing it might not be easy for them to comprehend unless they experienced it themselves.

'It's useless to explain further about the matter.'

Letting out a heavy sigh, he said earnestly, "Oh well, once you three boys grow up and get wives of your own, then you'll understand how I feel now."

Antonio changed out of his casual clothes and said, "Brian, I'm leaving the house in your hands."

Brian didn't reply. The more time he spent with Antonio, the more he realized that this man was completely different from what he had imagined.

For example, he couldn't understand why Antonio was so proud of waiting at the door for his wife.

Shouldn't it be the husband's role to elegantly pick up his wife?

But strangely enough, even though Antonio got so excited over every little thing about Sarah, Brian didn't find it annoying at all.

It was rather amusing.

At that moment, a red sports car parked right in front of their house.

"Antonio, get in the car."

Sarah coolly opened the car door, with black sunglasses resting on her face, exuding a natural sense of elegance. Her partially concealed exquisite cheeks hinted at a trace of rebelliousness, transforming the initially gentle Sarah into someone more charismatic.

Antonio was instantly stunned.

"What are you staring at?" Sarah pushed her sunglasses up and looked at the dumbfounded Antonio with a somewhat speechless expression.

Quickly, Antonio took his seat in the passenger side. "Nothing, let's go."

Without saying a word, Sarah nodded lightly and adjusted her sunglasses, allowing them to sit perfectly on the bridge of her nose.

Pressing on the accelerator, turning the steering wheel, effortlessly drifting through the turns—Sarah executed each move flawlessly!

The corners of Antonio's mouth couldn't help but curl upwards.

His wife was unexpectedly so cool!

"Mr. Valencia, could you please put that inexperienced look of yours away?"
