Chapter 292 Using My Child, Deserves Death!

Ethan, still a child, was at the center of a sudden realization that struck Antonio like a warning bell. He found himself questioning the time Ethan and Alex spent in his study. Could they be searching for something?

Ethan was innocent, of that Antonio was certain. It was Alex, he surmised, who was likely exploiting the child's innocence to pry into his company's affairs. The thought of Alex, the CEO, instructing Ethan to do so sent a chill through Antonio. His eyelids grew heavy and his gaze hardened, a frosty layer forming over his eyes.

"Alex," Antonio vowed, "if you dare to use my child, you will not be spared."

The following morning, Antonio took matters into his own hands, installing a hidden camera in his study. He was determined to uncover Alex's true intentions. However, Alex's visits became less frequent, leaving Antonio in a state of suspense.

"Chairman," a voice reported, "we haven't found any close cooperation between our company and Mr. Alex's company. I will inform you immediately if there's any news."

Despite Antonio's best efforts, even leveraging personal connections, he found no relevant clues. Alex's company was clean, leaving Antonio at a dead end.

Meanwhile, Brian, having temporarily set aside his business affairs, was consumed with worry. He had noticed Antonio and his mother exchanging glances the previous day, a deviation from his original plan. Brian wasn't opposed to his mother dating, but the thought of her simply handing him over was unacceptable.

Antonio's reputation was tainted with numerous scandals. One day he was linked to Mr. Jerrett from a certain company, the next he was rumored to be having a child with a woman named Lisa. Brian couldn't fathom how someone like Antonio could be worthy of his mother. The thought was simply intolerable.

Growing up abroad, Brian had learned to respect the emotions between two people. However, he couldn't stand by and watch his mother leap into a pit of fire. Love, he believed, should begin with liking before blossoming into something more. His mother had been single for years, and now, upon returning to the country, she had been deceived by Antonio.

Brian was convinced that his mother had been blinded. He felt a sudden surge of responsibility to help her see the truth. Rising abruptly, he addressed Ethan, who sat across from him with a puzzled expression. Harper and Ryan, seated beside them, were equally startled by Brian's sudden action.

"Harper, Ethan," Brian began, "we need to help Mommy understand what she truly wants."

His siblings were confused by his vague statement, prompting Harper to ask for clarification. Sarah, sensing the urgency in Brian's demeanor, intervened as he was about to rush out of the room.

"Wait," she said calmly, "what's going on?"

Brian paused, quickly formulating a plan in his mind. "You don't need to worry," he assured them, "Just act normal at home and make sure Mommy doesn't notice anything unusual. I'll let you know once everything is settled."

Ethan and Harper nodded obediently, trusting their older brother's judgment.

Later, Brian was on the phone with Alex, requesting a list of all eligible single men in the city. Alex, taken aback, cautiously asked about Brian's intentions.

"I'm planning a blind date event," Brian announced confidently.

"A blind date event?" Alex paused for a moment, "You mean..."

"Yes, just like you thought. Let's schedule it for this weekend. The sooner the better. Once you have the list prepared, give it to me for selection," Brian instructed before abruptly ending the call.

"Ah," Alex sighed silently. No matter what, he still had to carry out this task.

The blind date event, which was called "Exquisite Encounter," wasn't really as grand as it sounded.
It was essentially a matchmaking event, with a single lady at the center of attention. The city's most eligible bachelors received invitations, their curiosity piqued by the elegant silhouette of the lady in question.

Back at the Valencia residence, Sarah was about to clean the children's room when Brian rushed out, stopping her in her tracks.

"What's going on? Why are you in such a rush?" Sarah asked, holding her son and waiting for an answer.
