Chapter 314 You Misunderstood Dad
Brian really didn't like the Valencia family. If Antonio hadn't influenced Sarah and brainwashed Harper, he wouldn't have come here.
Harper pursed her lips and said, "Brian, I feel like you misunderstood Daddy. He has never given me, Ethan, or Mommy any unpleasant looks. If you look closely, you'll see that Daddy is actually very gentle."
"Harper, please stop. I can see what he's like for myself."
Brian was very stubborn and refused to believe that Antonio was as simple as he appeared to be.
'This person is obviously cunning and sly. He has enchanted Mommy and Harper, and now he is bothering Ethan. Luckily, Ethan is more determined and not easily influenced.'

Ethan looked at Harper and Brian in surprise.
Harper explained the story behind the small dog to Ethan and Ryan, but the children didn't know where to start cleaning up the messy house.
"Harper, call Mommy and ask when they'll be back. Ethan and Ryan, let's clean up our own rooms first so Mommy doesn't notice anything when she comes back."
Brian quickly gave instructions and efficiently commanded the three children.
Harper responded and hurriedly called Sarah.
"Sweetheart, Mommy and Daddy are only two intersections away. We brought your favorite cake. Wait for us at home."
Brian sighed upon hearing this. It was already too late to find someone to clean up, so he could only temporarily tidy up the visible mess.
"Harper, go put the little dog back in the cage, and don't let it out again. Be careful, and don't get bitten by it.
"Ethan, go check Mommy's room and clean up the dog hair. Mommy is allergic to dog hair and can't stand these things.
"Ryan, just stay quiet."
Brian knew that Ryan wasn't in good health, so he didn't want him to move too much. It would be even worse if he had another episode.
The three children started to work on their assigned tasks.
Everyone should focus on their responsibilities, but no matter what, they were still children. Stray dogs could be incredibly destructive, which the three of them could not handle well.
Harper slumped to the ground. "This is bad. We're definitely in trouble."
"Although Daddy may be gentle usually, he definitely won't be happy seeing our home being in this state. And Mommy is allergic to dog hair. I'm definitely going to get scolded," Ethan worriedly expressed.
Although Ethan had come a long way in accepting Antonio and even considering him his dad, he couldn't shake the feeling that Antonio's temper wasn't so good.
'Will Mommy be implicated as well if she sees the house like this? After all, they had an argument last night…'
Meanwhile, Brian wasn't worried at all. He thought, 'If he dares to lose his temper, I will have someone take Mommy and my siblings away. I don't want to endure this anger here.
'Then, Harper can raise as many puppies as she pleases, without worrying about Mommy's allergy to dog hair.'
Ryan looked at Harper with concern. "Harper, I know Daddy's temper. This won't blow over easily."
Then, Ryan determinedly said, "But don't worry, I won't let you take the blame. I'll take it for you,"
He planned to get some dog hair stuck on himself to make it more believable.
"Ryan, how can I let you take the blame for this? I don't agree," Harper quickly refused. "This was my doing, and I won't hide behind you."
Everyone in the family knew that Ryan was the least likely to have any contact with animals, so there was no way he could have brought this puppy home.
"But—"
"Enough talking, Ryan. You go back to your room first. Mommy should be back soon," Brian interrupted Ryan. "Just be honest about the situation. There's no need to deceive Mommy, and I am sure he is wise enough to discern the truth from your lies.”
By "he," Brian naturally meant Antonio.
As soon as he finished speaking, Sarah and Antonio opened the door.
Seeing the scene, they were startled.
