Chapter 949 Which Child to Choose?

Why should his wife have to babysit for the Morrison family? Especially when it's Bob's kid!

No way... He couldn't let this continue!

He had to come up with a plan!

Antonio was fuming, but given the current situation, there wasn't much he could do. After staring at Sarah for several minutes, and seeing that she was still ignoring him, he couldn't help himself. He quickly kissed her on the cheek before leaving.

Sarah frowned and glanced at the door, feeling both amused and exasperated.

She looked down and continued to soothe Nia, "Let's not pay attention to him; he's just being a pain!"

Nia smacked her lips a couple of times and drifted back into sleep under Sarah's gentle voice.

Meanwhile, at a private hospital in Valeria, Francis, who had just undergone a physical evaluation, received some unbelievable news!

The doctor informed him that his leg condition could actually be treated with an exoskeleton!

Roy was ecstatic, "Mr. Valencia, it won't be long before you can stand again!"

Francis looked at his legs, his emotions in turmoil.

He had fallen off a cliff years ago, and although he survived, he sustained numerous injuries. After arriving in Valeria, he quickly went to the hospital for treatment. This hospital happened to be a local authority in orthopedics, so he had the doctors check his legs.

To his surprise, there was hope for recovery!

"Your leg injuries have been there for years, right? Normally, there should have been a chance for recovery back then. Why was the treatment delayed?"

The doctor's words made Francis's expression freeze.

"Are you saying... my legs could have been healed originally?"

"Of course!" The doctor frowned in surprise, "Didn't your attending physician explain this to you? Any experienced doctor wouldn't give up on treatment so easily. I've treated many patients like you, and they all managed to stand again. Your doctor was irresponsible."

Francis didn't speak, but his eyes filled with boundless hatred.

It wasn't the doctor's irresponsibility!

It was Guadalupe, that demon, who interfered!

Back then, Guadalupe took him to Avaloria, only treating his other injuries. The doctor then told him in front of Guadalupe that his legs would never stand again!

Now it seemed all lies!

That doctor had been bribed by Guadalupe, who deliberately didn't want to treat his legs!

He even instructed the doctor to lie to him, just to turn him into a dependent cripple, forever confined to his side!

The most ridiculous part was that Francis only found out about this now!

After all this time, he couldn't be cured anymore!

He wished he could kill Guadalupe with his own hands!

But fortunately... he could still have an exoskeleton.

He would need some time for rehabilitation before he could walk like a normal person.

He actively cooperated with the doctor's arrangements. The surgery was very successful, and after a few days of adaptation, he could barely stand.

Roy's excitement was evident, his eyes red, "Mr. Valencia... you did it!"

"Yes... I did it!"

Francis clenched his fists, never imagining he could stand again. Suddenly, he thought of something, his eyes darkening, "What's the situation with Guadalupe now?"

"A while ago, he went to international waters, supposedly looking for some thrill with others. It's been half a month, and there's no news of his return, but..."

"But what?"

"Two days ago, there was a tsunami in international waters. A cruise ship capsized, and several passengers were killed... they haven't recovered the bodies yet."

Roy watched his expression and finished the sentence.

"One of them was a businessman from our country."

If it really was him, that would be great!

Someone like him deserved to die a thousand times over!

Francis sneered, his eyes cold and sharp, "Keep an eye on the situation over there. If it's confirmed to be him, I want to savor his death."

"Yes."

Roy nodded, his gaze sweeping over Francis's legs, "Mr. Valencia, what should we do next?"

Francis glanced at his phone. It had been over two months since he left the northwest. He really wanted to know Antonio and Sarah's current situation.

Although he had kept in touch occasionally, he was still a bit worried.

And Ryan...

Francis couldn't help but open his photo album. Inside was a picture Antonio had sent recently, showing Ryan drawing by the window.

It had only been two months, but Ryan seemed to have grown a lot.

A tender smile appeared on his lips, and he said in a deep voice, "Let's go back home."

Roy was shocked, "Mr. Valencia, are you sure?"

Weren't they supposed to be hiding from Guadalupe's people?

"Yes."

Although returning home now was risky, they couldn't hide forever.

Since Guadalupe had gone to international waters, he probably believed Francis was dead. If he wasn't dead... he wouldn't expect Francis to return home alive.

Sensing Francis's determination, Roy didn't argue further, "I'll make arrangements. Once your rehabilitation is complete, we'll head back."

Back home, Sarah and Antonio had no idea Francis was about to return.

After the unpleasant argument the night before, Antonio had been thinking about how to win Sarah's heart back.

So, early the next morning, he did something big.

Sarah was groggy, feeling that something was off.

When she opened her eyes—

Something was definitely off!

Who could tell her why she woke up in a car when she had gone to sleep in bed?!

Sarah was bewildered for a moment, then turned to see Antonio driving seriously. She frowned in confusion, "Antonio, what are you doing?"

At a red light, Antonio glanced at her, his expression gentle, "Honey, you're awake? It was early when we left, and you were sleeping soundly, so I didn't want to wake you. Are you hungry? Let's get some breakfast first."

Sarah was speechless.

"Where are you taking me?"

She hadn't forgotten that there was a child in her bed. Nia wasn't someone easy to soothe.

Antonio seemed to know what she was thinking and said while driving, "Don't worry about the child. I've instructed the maid to take good care of her."

"And then?"

"Then we're going to adopt a child."

What?

Sarah's eye twitched, "Pick what child?"

"I know you like daughters, so I've already contacted a few orphanages. We'll go see if there's one you like, and we can raise her as our own. What do you think?"

Sarah's fondness for Nia was largely because of Eden.

So if they adopted a child, Bob wouldn't have a reason to bother them anymore.

Sarah stared at him in disbelief, stunned for a long moment.

"Antonio, do you think I have a habit of being a mom?"

Just because Bob had decided to make her Nia's godmother, Antonio was planning to adopt a child from an orphanage?

You don't gamble on things like this!

Antonio sensed her displeasure and looked a bit embarrassed, "Isn't it... a good idea?"

"Great idea!"

She really didn't know what Antonio was thinking!

Sarah crossed her arms, annoyed, "I already have four kids. Do you think adopting a child is just a matter of saying it? We have to be responsible for their lives. Bob's situation was an accident. When he comes back, he'll take the child, and I'll explain everything to him."
